1 Corinthians 11:10

10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
that statement has to do with corporate worship and Prophesying as the Text and chapter speak about.

"7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. 8 For man is not from woman, but woman from man. 9 Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man. 10 For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels."

The verse is speaking about coverings in the church setting while praying or prophesying FYI the angels spoken about in 1cor chapter 11:10 are ministering angels and speaking more about being in order as the whole chapters of 1cor 11 is speaking on Correction of church abuses from Communion, to the gifts of the Holy Spirit found in chapter 12.

That is one of the biggest stretches of scripture I have seen in somertime.

To understand this, read book of Enoch
the book of Enoch is not part of the Bible nor is it to be seen as the authoritative word of God.

You do not need Gnosticism to explain Genesis chapter 6 when Genesis chapter 6 can be explained within the context of that chapter.

"No, no no, " don't read Genesis 6 " read the Book of JOB," "No, no, no, read the book of Enoch". Angels having sex with women that had babies that were giants caused God to destroy the earth?

what did GOD say?

3 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.

what did God see?

5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

What did God do?

what God did was it because of angels ? or was it because of man?

7 So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

Sin is the reason. Man is the one who did it. AS the chapter tells us. I did not have to look at JOB or Enoch, just the context of the chapter itself. Without Genesis chapter 6 the idea of angels sleeping what women would never be suggested.
Because the Hebrew language uses el ohym to mean gods, angels, and man we must use the translation that best fits in the text.

IF you remove the word man and replace it with angel(s) it is ridiculous. God destroyed the whole earth because of angels not the sin of man. I never knew angels were not good swimmers.

The book of Enoch can be read for its historical context. One doesn't need to believe it is inspired to be used in this manner, and it doesn't contradict the bible. It spells out what the bible appears to say - that the "sons of God" were indeed angels, and not "sons of men", as some are claiming.

This also explains why the offspring - the nephilim - were a different race, and not simply unbelieving men (as would occur if the sons of men came into the daughters of men, as they do today). It also offers an explanation for the existence of demons (God clearly didn't create these, and yet the bible differentiates them from angels). Finally, it gives an explanation for the passage in Jude.

The argument that when the bible says "sons of God" it really means "sons of men" only leaves anomalies for addressing the same subjects.

son of god and daughter of men.
Why the Bible didn't tell us son of men and daughter of men?
If Someone tell you the book of Enoch is Gnosticism? why you believe Someone?
Why you not find out truth with yourself ?

True, however, if one is going to, use the book of Enoch to explain the inspired word of God when we can look at what is actually provided in the context of Genesis chapter 6 is an error and improper biblical interpretation :)

Well, some people today claim that Jude quotes the forgery, but that is not what Jude claims.

Well see the problem is that the writings of the Pharisees which came about in that era are actually pretty frowned upon. Even if we ascribe to them being harmless than at the very least of it they are pointless. One does not need to lean on a forgery when the Bible is more than sufficient about this topic, citing the event of the first fall of the angels at least four times; in Genesis, 1 Corinthians, 2 Peter, and Jude.
Jude doesn’t need to state that he’s quoting Enoch to be doing so.

good question,

The Book of Beginnings (Genesis)also is the beginning of the languages of man, NOT GOD.

IF we look at the progression of the word of God through the bible Sons of God as a normative speak of men more than angels, in the New Testament I am a son of God as there are many of us who are because of Christ.

Also, the fall of man was relatively new from the context of Genesis. we see many spiritual things pertaining to man and God that are not fully explained example Enoch walked with God and was no more, for God took him? In Hebrew let's see what God did from the word took (lāqaḥ )?

  1. (Qal)
    1. to take, take in the hand
    2. to take and carry along
    3. to take from, take out of, take, carry away, take away
    4. to take to or for a person, procure, get, take possession of, select, choose, take in marriage, receive, accept
    5. to take up or upon, put upon
    6. to fetch
    7. to take, lead, conduct
    8. to take, capture, seize
    9. to take, carry off
    10. to take (vengeance)

there are many ways this word TOOK can go YET we must use from the context the word that best fits

# 10 can't be God took Vengeance out on Enoch why? Because the word Walked with GOD.

which could mean :

to go, walk, come

  1. (Qal)
    1. to go, walk, come, depart, proceed, move, go away
    2. to die, live, manner of life (fig.)
Adam walked with God, Enoch, walked with God Noah walked with God Abraham walked with God
they were all Sons of God as they were know as

bēn 'ĕlōhîm =
  1. sons (as characterisation, i.e. sons of injustice [for un- righteous men] or sons of God [for angels]

Genesis chapter 6 actually is speaking about men, not angels because the chapter is about men, not angels.

the daughters of men speak to those who are not known as the elect. Sons of God speak of those who walk with GOD NOT IN SIN.

BUT were now doing so.

Yes, because of the infiltration from the sons of God.
I gave the verse that specifically said it was due to the evil of men, yet you contradict it.

none of them sat angel had sex with women.
The Torah does. and the TORAH came directly from God to Moses while in the Wilderness. It is the Most truest, reliable, accurate piece of manuscript we have ever witnessed and everything else is just a [mostly inaccurate] translation!

From the Torah:

Notice it begins with what the OFFSPRING of Angels and Human's produce = NEPHILIM

4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of the nobles would come to the daughters of man, and they would bear for them; they are the mighty men, who were of old, the men of renown.

Tell me, how can 2 humans produce a baby that is HALF ANGEL?
They can't!
So, these are FALLEN ANGELS who had sex with human women and nothing else!

when the sons of the nobles would come to the daughters of man, and they would bear for them;
^
What do you think BEAR FOR THEM means?

God is not an angel, the Torah is just the name of the first five books of the law same as Pentateuch.

it is God's word to man. That doesn't make what is known as the first five books of the bible heretical.

the context within the text of Genesis 6 is as it is in the Bible. God judges sinful men because they offended a Holy God which was done before Moses received the LAW recorded in Exodus, Duetermony, Leviticus, and numbers.

Shouting Torah ! or the Pentateuch doesn't change Genesis chapter 6, or the context of why God destroyed the earth with water.

Blow the shofar, read the Torah, amen but they do not say contextually angels had sex with women.
In addition, attacking the "manuscripts or translations when we do not what was given to MOSE ( the original) we have a copy (manuscripts) that was never held by Moses himself.

FIRST OF ALL, THERE IS NO SPETUAGINT UNTIL THERE WAS [[[FIRST]]] THE TORAH THAT THE SEPTUAGINT WAS TRANSLATED FROM!!

Second of all, You must deny the truth of the TORAH to believe as you do!!

Third of ALL, God spells out to Moses the OFFSPRING IS NEPHILIM so we understand this cannot be the offspring of 2 human beings!

A bold letter does not make your position any stronger nor do false narratives. Mighty men of war = Nephilim. You have suggested falsely I might add, that I "must deny the truth of the TORAH" instead of addressing the context of Genesis chapter 6 which the Torah doesn't say angels had sex with women. I don't need your lesson in the Torah I want Biblical proof of Genesis chapter 6 where sones of God mean angels having sex with women. Torah doesn't say. The text with stay with the text in that is the context. I don't need to suggest you are denying TRUTH!!!!!!, just you can't show me from the word of God angels having sex with women in Genisis chapter 6

I can see you are trying to save face by using alternative definitions that the HEBREWS did not use or intend for SOMEONE LIKE YOU to use!

You are Wrong about this like YOU are wrong about many topics on this Forum.

But coming back with SECULAR DEFINITIONS only proves how BIBLICALLY IGNORANT You really are!

Obviously the gene pool had to be cleansed via the flood.

It does appear the men of renoun came from fallen angels impregnating women.
A super race.

Apparently they did it again after the flood, but om a mote limited scale
