Ok, " how does one know who doesn't twists" when one's teaching or doctrine is clearly what the scriptures says. SOLA SCRIPTURA!
1 timothy 6:3-4"If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, they are conceited and understand nothing."

this here is how to spot a doctrine flaw. if the teaching doesn't agree with the principles of Jesus Christ, His "sound instruction" the doctrine is lacking at best. if it totally disagrees with Jesus it is false and destructive. if it tries to omit or remove Jesus authority over the entire world, it is of the enemy. if the doctrine speaks of Grace and Love for the obedience to Jesus the Lord. the doctrine has merit. Jesus is the standard for doctrine. the scripture is really clear or again

2 john 1:9 "Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son."
or Jesus John 14:23-24 "Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me."

same things throughout scripture. there is one standard that doctrine must be measured against, Jesus and The eternal Gospel of Gods only Son, who Gave His Life to give us Life. His words are the words

And ye shall be brought beforegovernors and kings for my sake,
for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

Mat 10:20
For it is not ye that speak,
but the Spirit of your Father
which speaketh in you.

Thank you for the principle, however, If one has already a "sound instruction" that is according to scriptures then that's surely the best and of godly doctrines.

The Biblle says if one's teaching does in consent with the wholesome words of our Lord Jesus Christ then his doctrine is according to godliness never a god-less-ness.

1 Timothy 6:3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
1 Timothy 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

lol God Loves you very very much. Jesus Christ is the Lord. any teaching that disagrees with Him, removes His authority over any believer is a false doctrine. you do understand that He is the Lord right? that He is Just exactly like God including His authority? because if you realize that, you are saying there is some "godly teaching" that would not agree perfectly with Gods Teaching. because

john 7:16-17 "Jesus answered, “My teaching is not my own. It comes from the one who sent me. Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. "

so I ask of you now, what "godly" teaching will disagree with Gods own teaching?

Jesus said, Judge not lest ye be judge, so no man can reprove the world of sin.
Jesus also said God does not judge you for He has given Me that authority so God does not reprove the world of sin.
Jesus said I do not judge you for the son of man came into the world to save the world not condemn it.

But you will be judged....

Who is left to judge the world?

You will be judged by every word I have told you.

When you can no longer hide from the "Truth" Who is the truth?

You will judge yourself as the Spirit of truth reveals your true soul to you

There are two ways of looking at salvation.
1. Where we are
2. Where we need to get to

Both need to be right.

What I always come back to is a simple idea. What condemns the world most strongly?
Love worked out in someones life. Words and ideas, theories are invented, are preached,
and often come to nothing. We get together to solve the worlds problems each day and
yet, often we never get anywhere.

So when a changed life occurs, people take notice. When you reach in and give hope,
joy peace where there was emptiness and lostness, things change. When a people die,
see their families ripped apart yet love and stand firm through it all, this is powerful.

You cannot separate in a relationship who does what because they do it together.
If the Lord did not convict us of sin, He would be failing His holiness and truth. If we
do not repent, humble ourselves and count the cost we are not walking in reality.

Distance from Christ and love is always our eternal problem. So anyone who can help
us bridge the gap, I say amen.

Being honest

Sin and God cannot live together. When people say they continually sin, that is just a label.
What is needed is the next level down, going into each issue and working it through.

It takes time and is hard, and will cause change, tears, hurt, pain, healing, repentance, confession,
restitution, purity, holiness. And you will find we are all the worst of sinners and also Gods chosen
people. It is this place we find so hard to go to, because we are scared, though we do not know what
of. But that is always the lie, God cannot change us, we are failures, and the hope is empty.

The exact opposite is actually true.

Yes I know, Jesus Christ is both Lord and Saviour. He is God. Yes, Jesus is the one given the "All Authority" and He said that in the Great Commission. But when did I known that? "twas recorded" in His words, Hallejuah! No one of us here will be able to know if not of the scriptures! Any one might say, yes we still can without the scriptures because we have the early "Church Fathers" but the "fathers" did only confirmed that was written. So the scriptures are very important, they are written authority as Christ is the "living authority".

Yes, Jesus said and answered all the Jews and even to his disciples but all those things have known because we have it in the scriptures! Of course, God cannot contradict His very own nature!

Btw, I don't know if I understand you right but whatever it is I do post this one because this my heart says...

Psalms 119: 161 Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

The Spirit of God is showing given a testimony against both of these

Mat 10:18
And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake,
for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

Mat 10:20
For it is not ye that speak,
but the Spirit of your Father
which speaketh in you.
I snipped this out of a bunch of these in Mal 3:5 I was looking at and comparing but moreso for an example of the Spirit being a witness against as is spoken of there and even here (and the coming near for judgment to do so) and just one example

In the picture of the sorcerers here (just the first line highlighted)

Mal 3:5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers,
and against the adulterers, and against false swearers,
and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages,
the widow, and the fatherless
,and that turn aside the stranger
from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

Whereas in Acts we see

Acts 13:8 Elymas the sorcerer

Acts 13:9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,

Acts 13:10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

And in respects to judgment (or his coming near for judgment blindness was spoken of in connection with the same in John 9:39 in respects to Christ)

Whereas here it says,

Acts 13:11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

You can see similarly in respects to judgment (even His coming near them) in Christ he said this as it pertained to judgment

John 9:39 Jesus said,
For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see;
and that they which see might be made blind.

Acts 13:11a And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee,
and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season.

Not the same situation, but I had looked up a "mist of darkness", and I found it here of wells without water

2Peter 2:17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest;
to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.

Unlike Acts which had spoken of a mist of darkness being for a season

And again here

Acts 13:11b And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness;
and he
went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

From Mal to what Jesus says of judgment (and in respects to blindness and judgment) and moreso spiritually so in the former picture, but seems similar to compare between them

Mal 3:5 And I will come near to you to judgment;
and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers
,

John 9:39 Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world,
that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

And again here this way

Acts 13:11a And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee,
and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season.

Might not be the word reproved or rebuked but one might rather it would be that than this Im thinking. This might be a little off the topic, but I just thought you could see the Spirit come in and through them be as testimony against them or a swift witness against someone in judgment (with a blind side effect thingy there).

"We are not saved by what Jesus taught, and we are certainly not saved by what we understand Jesus to have taught. We are saved by Jesus Himself" -Capon
This is a miss-leading comment. It is like saying a car takes you from one place to the other, but it is the tyres alone that actually do the carrying. Now both these statement are true.

Where the lie comes in is if you say the car body is irrelevant, where in reality 4 tyres by themselves are actually useless.

So Jesus's teaching is about who He is, what it means to follow, where the blessing of God really resides and how we walk in it. To be saved is to do all these things, they cannot be separated.

But this is why sin can be excused, and made irrelevant, by arguing you are saved and thats it.

But the parable of the seed and sower emphasises it is the continuation to fruitfulness that is the
whole point. It is like saying to a farmer, planting seed is just about putting seed in the soil, it
does not matter if it germinates or not, when the farmer will tell you the only reason he plants the
seed is to get germination and growth.

But Jesus reassures people. You are in Him, he will bring fruit in your life, just walk in His ways.

I just got a picture of how you tell a kid about planting seeds. You do not keep on digging them up
and checking they are growing, you just water it, give it sunlight and the right temperature and the
seed will grow. God is good, have faith and patience.

are you realizing that Jesus is the one who said " it is not those who call me lord but only those who do the will of God" you see if a persons view of Grace, has to say what Jesus said is incorrect, the person is not seeing Gods grace, but mans misunderstanding of it. would God do all He did for us in Jesus and then grant a grace that omits His son who suffered and died an agonizing death? No, he will not ever say or teach anything against what Jesus taught if Grace has to omit Jesus words it is a mis concepted grace
The will of God is to believe in His Son.

Jesus is not a "concept", and He certainly isn't locked up on the pages of a book. He is alive. He has risen!

Read:

Twisting words again, are we?

The point IS, you can't separate Christ from the Word for they are one & the same. We are saved by Christ & we can be condemned to destruction by Christ. Jesus says you can lose your salvation, so then you can.
Oh my, it is a serious error to make Jesus synonymous with the written word. It is to deify the book, and to reduce Jesus to mere words on a page. That’s a no no.

Yes! We ARE scared to go there! This is how one man put it, by the Holy Spirit: We refuse to go to the light for FEAR that it will expose our inner sins and sicknesses.

But THAT is what we will be judged by! We won't be judged by light we never received. We will be judged by the light we DID receive and if we failed to embrace it in truth. The judgement, as the verse says, is that men loved the darkness more than the light. The darkness of comforting self-deceit rather than the light of truth that sets us free.

The reason most writers need another to edit their writings is because since they wrote every word, they think every word is obviously necessary. It's a pride thing. Just sayin'.

see, this is at the heart of their beliefs: Jesus doesn't save completely. their system is this mixed-up mess of kinda Jesus, kinda me, kinda grace, kinda works.........
but not Biblical truth.

You read his post. I assume you found nothing to complain about in it, so you instead complained about his great lack of editing style...? If I had a horse, I would hitch it to Peters post. He would take care of my horse.:)
