My personal experience is this: back when I had a restaurant and began closing on "saturday", our busiest day of the week, my spiritual life did a beneficial 180, and weekly sales remained the same.
An interesting aside:
Matthew: "And on the eve of the sabbaths (plural), at the dawn, toward the first of the sabbaths (plural)"
Luke & John: "And on the first of the sabbaths (plural)"
These are references to the beginning of the 49 day counting of the omer (7 weeks, or sabbath sabbaths), which follows passover, not inherently to "Sunday", whether or not it was on a "Sunday."
There's a very interesting, however, 10 hour long, video series by a guy name "Michael Rood" (whose teachings as a whole I cannot endorse). In this video, he does a very good job of tying together astronomical history with biblical and secular history to prove the years of birth and resurrection and that Y'Shua's ministry was 490 days long rather than the 3 years currently claimed. He also explains the 3 days debacle. I believe it's called "the creator's calendar".
Granted the oddness of the presentation, I believe there's a lot of good info in his video.
