Here is the testimony of the (4) gospels by (4) different men. Here is how they read...
Mt 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
Mk 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
Luke 3:22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
John 1:32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
Notice that all (4) accounts the Spirit descended UPON HIM. Not going to add to that or make it something it is not. The Spirit descended, lighted and abode upon the Son. That is never said to happen to any believer for the believer is indwelt by the Spirit. I mentioned a number of instances that we could very easily implicate the Holy Spirit and not be steered away from the truth. You can believe what you want, but I will stick to my convictions on this particular inference of the Spirit indwelling Christ before his baptism under John the baptist. I have an understanding and not an opinion in this matter.
Mt 1:20 But as he was thinking this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, descendant of David, do not be afraid to take Mary [as] your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of (from, out of) the Holy Spirit.
Luke 1:35 Then the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you [like a shining cloud]; and so the holy (pure, sinless) Thing (Offspring) which shall be born of you will be called the Son of God.
