i never spoke on forbidding marrying how did you get that idea from..
The spirts in the thread title, and your mentioning of the doctrines of devils (per the OP) is in the context of 1 Ti

Which verse are you speaking of then?

Its in the context of departng from the faith,

1 Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
If by grace you are saved through faith, what happens when one departs from the faith? This should be a no brainer, but many still rebel against this very Truth, and against all the scriptures I've posted confirming this falling away that was prophesied to come, and has come!

When I think of what a devil doctrine is I think of the what going on in the Middle East and around the world the slaughter of humans for religious beliefs that's devil doctrine..
Again, note the thread title, note 1 Ti 4:1

See the two ?

1 Ti 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

1 Ti 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

1 Ti 4:3 Forbidding to marry, commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Theres a period in verse 4:3

You might not be speaking of forbidding marriage but they are

Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?
Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, I myself serve the
law of God with my mind,
but with
my flesh I serve the law of sin.
(Romans 7:24-25)

AMEN NOW THAT IS GOOD NEWS!!

I dont know what every sect of christianity teaches when it comes to falling away from the faith, there are those universalists folks too, some of those believe Satan is saved so... it can get weird

color is a powerful tool to convey meaning that works at conscious & subconscious levels, drawing on deep emotional layers within the human psyche in often subliminal ways to educe a response in people even below our level of awareness. post haz art degree; haz been taught well about many such things.

i am sure most of us have now or have had at some point, a 'red-letter' edition of the Bible? with all of Christ's words in red?
and i am sure that almost every one of us who have or have had one of these, have skimmed through the gospels at one time or another, reading only what is in red?

and i am equally sure that when we look over the pages of the synoptic gospels, those things written in red jump out and are more important to us than any other words in the whole of scripture.

most of us are, conscious of it or not, conditioned in a very certain way to regard things of certain colors in a very certain way. they have a deep impact on us that is probably far below levels of which we are aware.

just a little experiment -- here are InSpiritInTruth's first 4 posts in this thread showing only the red words. nothing added, nothing removed except colors other than the one that we are programmed to focus our attention on.
just have a glance and see if it changes at all whether or not you think there is anything to Lynn's comment.

bear in mind that there is no reason to change any words color here apart from his own personal choice to add emphasis -- he's not keeping any sort of 'Christ's words in red' rule -- just adding his own emphasis to what he feels is important, whether it's scripture or just his own opinion, he's using color purely to make stand out what he wants to stand out.

there's a common theme here; you can guess what kind of word-studies he's been doing.

for reasons briefly discussed above, purely because of design choices, i have a hard time reading your posts without becoming nauseous. this thread is by no means an isolated example of what i'm trying to point out.

so if you guys ever wonder why i very rarely respond to InSpiritInTruth, or interact with him at all,
well -- there you have it; as plain as i can make it right now.
Unfortunately I have heard the same thing from a number of people. I agree too as I have the same reversion to all the "cursed, accursed, death, dying, evil, etc...kinds of posts. I think these kinds of posts would be well in the Old Covenant days or maybe today in certain circumstances where you are led of the Lord to the unbelievers in Christ. But this kind of stuff is not for the believer to be edified with.

None of these lift up Christ and encourage the believer in Christ to grow up in Him.

Maybe these posts are for the unbelievers that come in here in CC. We have seen lot's of them. Perhaps this kind of post will speak to them of the death that they are in now without Christ.

Yes,

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true,

I doubt they wrote untrue things for us to keep in remembrance

Seriously., I was not trying to use a "tactic" or trying to fight fire with fire. It's obvious I thought my re-use of the word die was over the top one right after the other. I was trying to make the point that my eyes saw die a lot. Not just in that post but the others I read from the OP. No tactic no hidden message. It was majorly obvious I thought. I had no idea or fear anyone would count word for word as it was obvious (I thought)

I don't think you are trying to be mean. The reason I went there was because it was already "there"
I don't give people the message of the old covenant when I'm a new covenant believer. That doesn't mean that the Old testament is not important or that the Bible should not be taught in it's entirety.

(There is a context to the message of reconciliation and the Gospel). Mixing covenants is not proper but totally confusing. Talking about judgment when Jesus already took our judgment is not proper and is confusing. So, in my reposting and commenting on the OPs posts, I see confusion and death when we have as believers have every reason to post about life and Jesus.

Those who thought my motives to be tactical will just have to believe me when I say I was not trying to use a tactic or fight fire with fire or be dishonest with the handling of a post. Not sure what else I can say about the matter.

I guess I am known round about for kicking the can over round these forums...but Lynn?

no way no how...she one of the most fair people on here...and her making the observations that she has made, is actually VERY astute

Jesus brings words of life to people that know Him.

John 6:63 (KJV)
[SUP]63 [/SUP] It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Acts 5:20 (KJV)
[SUP]20 [/SUP] Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all
the words of this life.

Colossians 3:1-3 (NASB)

[SUP]1[/SUP] Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ,
keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

[SUP]2[/SUP]
Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth.

[SUP]3 [/SUP]
[SUP][/SUP] For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

There is a common theme, and there is a reason I use the color red for certain words, as this is intentional. It is in hopes that you guys will come to see and understand what the red mark of the scarlet colored beast is, which is also that of the Red Dragon.

Sin is shown as red in scripture->>>>>

Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

further....oops let me straighten this out,
it does not actually touch on what doctrines of demons is

although if you sin you loose your salvation, would be a qualifier...but that has been argued until the cows learned how to milk themselves, never mind just came home

Yes, Jesus cleaned house. But what did Jesus say would happen to many after the house was cleaned->>>>>

1 Timothy 4:1-2 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;[SUP]2 [/SUP]Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;”

Paul is speaking of the falling away from the faith here, and how seducing spirits and doctrines of devils would draw many away from the true gospel message, and preach a message of peace and safety, even a message of eternal security for the wicked and ongoing sinners as we see today. Let’s explore this seduction by a few verses of scripture.

It is written in
Proverbs 12:26 “The righteous is more excellent than his neighbour: but the way of the wicked seduceth them.”

In Ezekiel chapter 13 the Lord is speaking to the false prophets, the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit. Notice what the Lords says in
Ezekiel 13:10 “Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:” This wall of false doctrine and a false sense of security the Lord said he would bring down with His wrath.

Jesus also warned of many false prophets to come, who also would seduce here in
Mark 13:22 “For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.”

And another warning from Paul in
2 Timothy 3:13 “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”

In 1 John 2:26 John was warning the disciples of Jesus Christ against seducers who were not walking in the Way and the Truth of the gospel. John said in verse 26
[SUP][/SUP]These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.”

If you back up to the beginning of the chapter and see what John had written, you would see the warnings that we also should take heed to today as well. One of the first warnings Johns writes is in the first verse is “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not.”

And this is the main theme of the warnings in Johns letter about those who were trying to seduce them with false doctrine.

John goes on to say in 1 John 2:3-7 “And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.[SUP]5 [/SUP]But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

[SUP]6 [/SUP]He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.[SUP]7 [/SUP]Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.”

Jesus Christ is the Word that was heard from the beginning; believe on the words the Father gave to His Son as a commandment, and do what He says for you to do, this is the will of the Father, that you keep His commandments.

And be not deceived by those who preach a false sense of security in a life of ongoing sin, for the warnings are very clear.
1 Thessalonians 5:3 “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
Its also fairly easy to quote a post with color, and remove the color with a click, highlight the whole thing and click black

And there it is, one step further highlight to remove all bolding and the underlines

I study (for myself) in colors because I have bad eyes, it has always helped me, one of my best freinds in Mississippi is legally blind, mine have served to help her with seeing certain things but they dont help everyone, some can be rather insultive over it but I am used to that, but its not everyones cup of tea, but very easy to correct.

I had shared that with someone once and then they would just unload the color and then question from there but what I ended up doing is going back into the same post and bring out the same verses (underlining it again). Its the long way around.

AWESOME WHEN TAKEN IN CONTEXT.

And Praise worthy too. I look at the contrasting posts and see a shocking and yet wonderful difference.
We do not shy away from the truths of the Bible, we take them IN CONTEXT. We are confident to be able to search the Scriptures and know that in all, the grace of God in Christ is always first and foremost for those who Jesus has redeemed. There is no fear in love.

Preaching and teaching that magnifies Jesus and upholds confidence in His finished work is what I'm drawn to in my spirit man. Teaching that causes me to look to my flesh and the chances that I could be wrong for placing my faith in Christ and God's love for me are teachings I reject. It is in actuality as Grace777 has said, man made religion denying the finished work of Jesus Christ and instead upholding my own efforts to be right with God through my works.

Then there comes a fearful expectation of judgment when accepting the teaching of the OP. And that is what Jesus Christ has already taken in full when He died on the cross and rose again. If you have a fearful expectation of judgment you are not walking in the freedom Christ has died to give you.

That kind of teaching causes the believer to look to self and not to Jesus Who IS the Author and Finisher of our faith. We do not Author our own faith it is Christ Who does this. We do not finish our own faith, it is Christ Who does this. We are called to walk in faith that He does and will do this and that is how we grow. Any other way is going up another way. Taking many different verses and putting them together to say something is not right. The Bible is for all of us but many verses have been specifically "to" a group of people at a specific time. Some to the non believer, some to Jews some to the Christian.
To mix them all together is a mess and confusion. God is not the God of confusion.

Seducing spirits and doctrines of devils

Yeah but they brought gumdrops back into the house with them right?
LOL! I'm not so sure about that, but perhaps they used some snake oil in order to grease and squeeze between the cracks in order to gain entry? :)

Psalm 55:12-21 "For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:[SUP]13 [/SUP]But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.[SUP]14 [/SUP]We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords."

The doctrines of devils have proliferated the church, thats why we have men in the girls locker room. Get dunked in water and do what you want to it's all good.
