Wherefore then
[serveth] the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; [and it was] ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Now a mediator is not [a mediator] of one, but God is one. [Is] the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. Galatians 3:19-21 (KJV)

v19. What law was added because of transgression? The sacrificial system carried out by the Levitical priesthood.
Now, of course, when Messiah offered Himself as the Ultimate, Perfect, Flawless Lamb of God, the sacrificial system of the Levitical priesthood was no longer in effect. The sacrifices of bulls & goats were basically a sin bandaid, to bring us to Meshiac! But does that mean the law is against the promises of God? God forbid.
Gal 3:10, "For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. V 11, But no man is justified by the law in the sight of God."

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God,
[it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Galatians 3:11-12 (KJV)

right, justification is through faith in Messiah, because we can have "faith" in the promise that God made to Abraham.
now, read the next part, "the man that does them shall live in them".
What most people don't know is that Shaul is quoting this from Leviticus 18:5, not as a bad thing, but as a good thing!

Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I
[am] YHVH. Leviticus 18:5

What part of the law do you want to keep us under,

And what part of the law do you see as removed?

Do you ever wear clothes of wool and linen woven together ? (Deut 22.11)
Do you have a parapet around the roof of your house? (Deut 22:8 )

First off, it is not up to me, and real believers are not "under" the law for salvation. Sacrifices for sin should be ended for believers since Meshiach was the Final Sacrifice for sin. As far as I can tell with my research, we should be keeping the 10 commandments of course, and the dietary laws, and the Holy Days of God. Many of the laws do not apply to us. Which ones are you against?

No clothes of wool & linen. NO parapet for my roof since my roof is not flat and no one walks around up there. I do have a parapet on my front porch. I hope this helps.

You are watering down the law to make it fit your religion.

Yes, we are all guilty. This is why we have a Savior. However, if you "stumble in one point", do you get rid of the righteous law? God forbid.

..we live by the life of Christ inside of us. That is the new creation in Christ. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is how we live now. The law of love, the law of faith, the law of liberty, and the law of Christ which is in us.

Jesus is more then enough. He is our life.

If you don't want to eat pork - don't. If you don't want to wear wool with linen - don't. That is a personal choice. If you don't want to trim the sides of your hair - don't . Those are all Jewish laws for Jewish people back before Christ died and rose again and freed us from the law.

Don't try to pawn them off as if they are for the believer in Christ today.

The law is not of faith. This is absolutely correct. Here is why. There was never a promise made, that if a man could keep the law perfectly that his reward would be eternal life. There was no promise of salvation by the law to have faith in!
If you continue reading chapter 3, the promise came through Abraham. So there we can have "faith" that God will keep His promise, just like Abraham did.
Again, the law is instructions for God's people. The law has no promise of eternal salvation. But if you are in Meshiach, then you are "heirs according to the promise". See how that works?

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God,
[it is] evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Galatians 3:11-12 (KJV)

Is your righteousness before God based on keeping parts of the law? Gal 3:11, "But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God,"

Is your faith based on your works done under the law?

We as Christians are under none of these laws that you have mentioned.

First off, I think the context is clear in Ezekiel. Like it or not, this is the "New Covenant" or "New Testament" that Ezekiel is talking about.

I appreciate these questions. (even though my answers will be bombarded shortly afterwards)

1. The only thingI can tell you there, that to knowingly break the 4th commandment is sin.
2. Scripture defines the Sabbath, but here is my attempt. Rest. No unnecessary work. No cooking. No cleaning. No planning for work. No causing anyone else to do non-emergency work. This would cause a limited amount of health care people and police to need to be on duty of course. Fellowship & Bible study is always good. Can you imagine how powerful that would be, if all believers observed it? It would be a huge witness.
3. I think I pretty much answered this in #2.
4. I have been observing the Sabbath for about the last 3 years and it really has been a delight! It does not feel like bondage to me. It feels like liberty.

If someone eats pork and cuts his hair on the sides which is both against the "law" do they go to hell?

What if they plan in their mind for some work the need to do next week - does that send them to hell in your religion?

The purpose of the Law was not intended to promise eternal life. That is what Jesus did.

The Law was intended to serve a different purpose. If we understand what it was intended to do, observance of it (including the Sabbath) makes perfect sense.
The purpose of the law was to 1) point you to Christ 2) that we would recognize that we need a redeemer 3)to recognize the terrible cost of sin.
The law is a schoolmaster, a life jacket to keep you afloat until help arrives! What happens when you are rescued and pulled into the boat? Is there any more need for the life jacket? Only if you are still afraid of sinking! You are not operating in love, if still in fear. Perfect love creates a kind of trust in Jesus that castes out all fear. I would have to believe that our Father is not capable of completely rasoming us. The Work of God is to believe in the One that He has sent. We are not of the bond woman, but of the free.

The law is like a treasure map leading us to the PEARL OF GREAT PRICE. We have obtained the TREASURE. While we were searching, the map was all we could think of, but now, we go on. Peace

You people have a 1 track mind. Staying out of "hell" is all you know. You want the milk of the word. Okay, here you go. Messiah took the penalty for us, which is death. The wages of sin is death. He took the penalty. He didn't delete His Father's law.
The Messiah did not change the dietary laws. As far as shaving the corners of your beard, that too is a bad idea. Have you ever heard the term "goat-tee". There was (and is?) people who would try to make themselves look like a goat, as part of their pagan worship. By the way, that law is from God. I suggest you not make sport of it.

You have not answered my questions.....I'll give them again. What happens to these people?

Oops, someone forgot to tell John the life-jacket theory:
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for
[the sins of] the whole world. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 1 John 2:1-4 (KJV)

But the Holy Spirit told John what the commandments were that we were to keep and he told us these in the very next chapter.

1 John 3:22-23 (NASB)
[SUP]22 [/SUP] and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.

[SUP]23 [/SUP] This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.
