When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying,

“Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades. (Rev 1:17-18)

I was just watching the Book of Revelation on youtube last night! Quite powerful narration.

For me, these last months, have been "a time to break down." I'm waiting patiently for my "time to heal."

All prayers gradually accepted that this med I am on will work, or God will touch my body, or I will learn to live with severe pain. (Not so much the last!)

Luke 21:36
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

One that stuck with me.....

This world is an anesthetic for the lost and dying man. We are not called to get rid of the anesthetic, we are called to bring the light to the lost and dying man.
Reminds me of a T-shirt I used to have
...with a large cross that said...
"32AD, not the medicine but the cure".

well we all know when that healing ultimately happens but til then...ugggh,

Romans 8:22-23 (KJV)
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

except I'm not looking for things we can all agree on, I just put forth a passage from
Solomon that I would hope would inspire all and that none would be in disagreement.
...hmm, maybe someone will come along and protest, "But that's Old Testament" :rolleyes:
Correction.

But that's from The Byrds!
:p

I have lost much, cried much, suffered a broken heart and mourned much. For years. Right now is healing, laughing, and peace. Nothing is where it used to be before tragedy but this has so far been a year of rest.
Horrendous things happened to hubby before we met.

My life was no piece of cake either.

So, when we were first married, I asked God to give us a break from all the harsh stuff we had to deal with up to that point. Much to my surprise, God agreed. He gave us two years and two days of healing, peace and laughter. And then hubby broke his back at work, and the hard started up again.

Some how that 2 years and 2 days still means the world to me. It was like a preview of things to come. That's a shadow of heaven. Well worth the effort on earth to prepare for enjoying heaven.

He really does give us times to rest and times to struggle. I wish I could remember to rest during those times of rest though.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

Solomon (Eccl 3:1-8)

...what time do you have?
It took me a while to figure out your original question. Now that I have, I want to answer it.

This is the season to "and a time to lose."

I lost Mom when I was barely 16. She believed in that Catholic Church for her salvation, so she wasn't saved.

My Dad is losing it now. In the last couple of decades I've learned he didn't really have any faith in the Catholic Church even. He invented his own god. Now he is in the waning days of dementia. 90% of what he says is the dementia talking to me, not Dad. 98% of what he does is the dementia doing it, not him. I'm losing Dad in a way that makes what Mom went through seem easier. (She died of cancer. It was so bad at the end, I could actually see the cancer on her. It wasn't skin cancer, but it was on her skin two days before she died.)

I see hubby losing it. Little by little, but at least he is saved.

I see me losing it. Hardly noticeable to anyone else, but I see it. I am saved.

We're all going to lose this battle. But then there is the next time. For those of us saved, it will be a time to laugh and a time to dance. (I wonder if disco music is big in heaven.) And the time of no more tears. So, even when we lose, he wins.

We can all agree I'm sure, that what ever has been created, has to have a creator right? Wow isn't God amazing?

when is the time for unity.
y'all can have unity any time you want

Jesus never prayed we would be united in doctrine...however, Christians are supposed to be known by their love...and love for each other

and that's a big problem...cause the onus is always on us personally....no finger pointing

U-N-I-T-Y,

how sweet, how fleeting, how precious!

this is a very rare thing to be very thankful for, when it happens, we are lifted up upon eagles's wings
and fortified to conquer the world...:):)
