Mornin Melita, well, it is cold, it is snowing, it is windy, we had a solar eclipse today (was fantastic tho) and it is back to sub freezing :p all in all...NOT a good mornin...lol
It was cold 'cause the sunshine got eclipsed. Windy too? Not a good start to spring.

Grits are made from hominy, and hominy is made from corn. And, strangely enough, hominy is very different!

I am most familiar with the first definition listed here:

Whole or ground kernels of corn from which the hull and germ have been removed, as by boiling in a solution of water and lye.

( And, most often, whole kernels. )

Nope, sorry. Grits CAN be made from hominy. And hominy IS made from corn, the same as GOOD grits are, but hominy is very altered corn.
