first year when you have dinner, get him to help you set the table. Get him to help you to clear the table and help wash the dishes. Ask him to take out the trash

but, men learn too.............setting table, OOPS, dropped her mama's favorite gravy bowl.....splatter......clearing table....OOPS.......leftover mashed 'tatters all over the floor..........as for dishes?

Now the real question IS WHY would one want him to do the dishes? (In my case if I were ever to be married I would prefer him to deal with the various woodland varmints) :p
Seems like a fair trade, if things need to be done and everyone is busy. Then we just naturally fall into doing what needs to be done with the best person doing it. That's how adults do it, at least. You see a job that needs doing and you do it.

But that doesn't mean he can't be doing dishes any other time when there are no varmints. There can't be a dividing line of she does this and he does that are set in stone. Best person for the job is wisest. And we'll 'get 'er done'.

I don't have the desire to want to change a man. God created him a certain way and have to learn to tolerate it and only him can want to have that desire to change not from me.
Oh? Well if my man is slipping into the habit of picking his nose in public, he's changing THAT real quick.

I do but most people don't like the way I clean them,I always thought you put them in a sink with bubble bath, and rub them down with a sponge. :p

Ah, and I see you changed your profile pic. I like it. I like it.

I can do fish. Even put a worm on the hook. Even catch the worms, if I need to. I'm not good at cleaning but I could learn. My hubby says, I'm a keeper.

Hubby is a power engineer and works 12 hour shifts, then comes home and does tons of outside chores needed to be done. He is an extremely HARD worker and never seems to stop. I was a health care aide for many years but I quit that in 2010 after some persuasion to let me quit. It got way too stressful for me. I take care of the inside chores most of the time (loading and unloading the dishwasher, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, mopping, bathrooms, etc etc etc) and he takes care of the outdoor stuff. Although he is certainly capable of laundry, dishes and all that jazz, I stay at home so it should be standard that all of that is done. (I wouldn't want him doing the dishes anyway cuz I saw the aftermath a few times when he's done dishes for me at the cottage LOL) While he is at work in the summertime I cut the front and back lawns just to save him from doing that when he get's home after a long exhausting day. :) You compliment one another in all that you do and make it all work. :)
