I guess you didn't read all of my post. I acknowledge that is spiritual baptism because the bible tells me so. However, those verses are looking forward to the outpouring of the HS. When we actually look to see who the bible tells us were actually baptized WITH the HS, it only happened two times and each was a special situation.
I’ve heard people talk about spiritual baptism. I’m not aware of the bible telling us or alluding to a baptism of/by the HS. I’m hoping this discussion will help me to understand how some come to this conclusion and the scriptural support for it.

Let me first give my basic current understanding on the topic and my concerns. My concern is this “spiritual” baptism is being used to replace water baptism and make water baptism of no effect. If it does actually replace water baptism then great, I want to know and understand.

I understand what the transliterated word “baptism” means. I understand that it’s used in various ways. For this discussion, I would like to stick to baptisms role in conversion. I want to understand what the bible tells us about water and "spiritual" baptism.

I do believe there is a spiritual baptism because the bible tells me so. “Baptized with the Holy Spirit” However, baptism with the HS only happened twice and each one was for a very important specific purpose. The first was the beginning of the church on Pentecost and the other was the first Gentile converts. These were directly from God and evident by speaking in tongues.

Please do not use these two to prove "spiritual baptism". I acknowledge this is spiritual baptism. If you believe they were not special situations, then since they are not special you should be able to use the other conversions to prove your point.

Now God has given us His word so we can understand these things. I trust God has chosen the right words to tell us about these things so we can understand. So please use scripture to make your point and tell me how that scripture supports your point.

As I noticed, there are 2 kinds of baptism.
One is from John The Baptist (water unto repentance)
While the other is from Jesus (Holy Ghost and with Fire)

MATTHEW 3:11
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

What are the importance of the 2 baptism?

According to John the Baptist, whoever not baptized by him will cast into the fire.

MATTHEW 3:10
10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Perhaps this is the reason, why every denomination in Christianity is doing the ritual of baptism.

Peter first preached about Jesus life death and resurrection then he said o response to “ what shall we do ?” He said repent and be baptized in Jesus name for remission of sins “

For God to work in us we have to accept what he said is my point to hear what he said someone has to say “hey look what he said here “ God knows who’ll hear and get baptized but we’re not looking at it from his perspective from ours it’s a free Will choice based on if we believe he died for our sins God isn’t refusing anyone a chance to repent brother he’s made a way for all to repent and be saved sin in the end everyone is justly rewarded whether good or evil having accepted or rejected the gospel that can save them if they believe
Also, the scripture specifically mentions the need to call on Jesus, and that not all have obeyed the gospel. (Rom. 10:14, 17)

Since the gospel is defined as the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus how does one obey it? (1 Cor. 15:1-4) All must repent (death), be water baptized in the name of Jesus, (burial) and receive the Holy Spirit (resurrection). Mark 16:15-16; Matthew 28:18-20; and Acts 2:38 confirm this.

It is noteworthy that the one who penned these words, Saul who became the Apostle Paul, obeyed the gospel as seen in Acts 22:16: "And now why tarriest thou, Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling upon the name of the Lord."

Many fail to realize that after believing in Jesus, obedience to water baptism in the name of Jesus is a required element of the NT rebirth along with receiving the indwelling presence of the Holy Ghost. Further the scripture explains that AFTER the foundation is laid, newborn Christians are to go on unto perfection; meaning to mature in Christ Jesus.

In Matthew 7:23, there are those who thought they were mature Christians yet they had never even been reborn. Jesus said, "I NEVER knew you." Immediately afterward, Jesus reveals the importance of laying a foundation. There are disastrous results for those who built without a foundation. Their lifelong efforts were all for naught.

Also, the scripture specifically mentions the need to call on Jesus, and that not all have obeyed the gospel. (Rom. 10:14, 17)

Since the gospel is defined as the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus how does one obey it? (1 Cor. 15:1-4) All must repent (death), be water baptized in the name of Jesus, (burial) and receive the Holy Spirit (resurrection). Mark 16:15-16; Matthew 28:18-20; and Acts 2:38 confirm this.

It is noteworthy that the one who penned these words, Saul who became the Apostle Paul, obeyed the gospel as seen in Acts 22:16: "And now why tarriest thou, Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling upon the name of the Lord."
The gospel is not about a only Jesus dying and being raised that’s certainly foundational but the gospel is what he preached as well regarding eternal life in his kingdom repentance and belief of the gospel baptism is just one act of faith we’re meant to change from those in rebellion to those in obedience

We could just run and get baptized and never repent or never believe the gospel at all and it’s not going to help in any way . Repentance comes before baptism obedience follows being born again

But you dropped a hint. Touching on faithful friends, I like the part about seek advice from one in thousand. I don't know whether I could gain a thousand friends, but I put my faith in where all one family really.
And we can be joined in prayer

My issues I had with friends is so many times I have been betrayed, i did at one time start to out new friendships to the sword to test my friendship.

It Was probably the biggest mistake I made in my life with one friend.

I've since learned to forgive being betrayed, so i no longer suffer that way. But betrayal is a hard one to forgive

but I could imagine many people do here.

Well the thing is not everyone is blessed in life with with real bonds I understand what you went through all my life people act like they are close they are more than willing to act nice and kind but when people just seem to put on a facade I mean all my life people have taken advantage of me they see my kindness my willingness and somehwta niavneness and use it that is why I am where I am now

But one can take that and adopt it and then become isoloated by choice but humans were not built to be by ourselves our weakness our hurt our flaws I have this connect people more than anything even the strongest of warriors have their limits and if there is no one to catch you when you fall you will not get back up because trute strength is based on those around you not what strength you youself have

So having one person just one person who who know that you will be there for them when they fall and they will be there when you fall, this decides what actual strength is the same is with God and the scriptures we never will have the full truth ourselves we are a body not a single cell an army wins a war not a single warrior there is strength in numbers.

So we all have our beliefs we have our doctrines but it seems like a war rather than seeking the truth of his heart together not a team but single force against another I didn't have anyone when I fell in my life so while I still tried to be strong I went into a very dark place I cannot begin to explain the darkness because it would take to many posts but without someone you can always lean on even if you try to be stong you will always fall again.

bonds are what make us strong the connections we forge God himself is so powerful he can think a thought and make everything how he deems it but he instead tends to use us he is one of bonds faith love life all these things were never based on a singular person or thought thre connection the heart to heart that is how he has alaways worked because that is what love is love naturally flows into others it impacts and brings tears it softens hardens hearts but never based on one person or thing there is always someone or something else to not just start that connection but to bring it to an unmovable force

It just takes one person to be that kind of friend to bring someone from the brink of despair and we all go through despair many hide their weakness on here many do not open themselves because the image they leave is that they are not strong they are not what we claim to be many do not speak of their issues their sins their hurting and this is why we need to let go we need to iopen to each other we need to seek what truth and love really is together not against each other

instead of contuing the cycle we have even if people cannot see it we have to change how we do things because it clearly is not effective yes some good is done but this what we see here this is what faith is this is what love is this is what Jesus wanted us to be?
It doesn't add up look at the first church sure they had their sqabbles but they were always there for each other earnestly praying deep within their hearts for each other even in prison the love they had for their brethen was clearly felt when reafing it

It isn't like I want to bash or attack people but this site well known online for it's reputation of scaring people away for being cruel name calling attacking debating there are youtube channels of people who have come here and spoken of this some even commited suicided one of which I tried to help in the past but I lost him

A lot of times when one has not been so lucky in life to have trustworthy friendships it is a natural response to react how you did you need not feel shame it is a natural defenceive mechanism you have been betrayed lied to used to many times so you put up a barrier you test because while you want an actual ttue bond you cannot let your heart get hurt again

And people were not built to be stong on their own even the strongest of warriors have their limits but it only takes one person who can be more lthan a brother to bring someone from the brink of despair to life I was there for you and now that I have fallen you are being there for me that is what real strength is
