Does anyone have some "biblical" advice on the subject of being a step-parent? Please no worldly wisdom, just a scripture based approach to this issue.

All is covered by love, all. I mean, you have nothing to fear when you practice love towards all,.

Ive wonder the same thing lamar im a step parent too. I adopted my older son who was from a previous marriage
My daughter saw me and treated me as her real father and did not want the adoption she rather keep her moms madian name. She said whats the difference it changes when she gets married anyways😊
My younger son is ours.
So are there any scriptures for step children you ask....hundreds in fact..... its the whole new testament.
Remember we are adopted ....grafted into the vine. That is if your a gentile which im assuming you are.

My older son was always leery of being adopted afraid of favoritism for my younger.
I had a hard time addressing this untill i heard a pastor teach this ...and i shared it with my oldest..

The difference between adoption and blood is that by blood i accept what the Lord has given
But by adoption i have a option to choose.....i choose him.

Welcome to CC! I’m a step-parent too. Some years back I took a course offered through Focus on the Family on the subject of blended families. ‘Blended and Blessed’. You may want to check it out.
