The interesting thing is we all need healing and growth.
One simple test about "Do I need healing?" is to ask "how open am I?"
If you cannot talk about family, friends, how you feel, work, your past,
incidents that have shaken you up, then probably you need healing.
I find when I think about some people, suddenly a whole load of issues
come up. I need to work through them, apply forgiveness and try and
think positive approaches to overcome the situation, and maybe casually
talk about it, by the way, to give them space to adjust, to think, and to
know it is not a problem.
How well do you empathise? If someone in a large amount of emotional
trauma, do you just freeze or know what to do?
I did a study once on healing of the spirit. The Lord is 100% more concerned
with who you are and how you operate than on signs and wonders, yet so few
seek healing and prayer for wounds that suck the life out of them.
Worry, anxiety, insecurity about the future, relationship breakdown, family
crisis, these all can mount up to point of collapse. But a little sharing, a few
words, a small time of prayer, and things can change.
The fear of such steps, can be much greater than the issues themselves, but
healing is there, we know our Lord is willing and able.
