There is no good WOF or health, wealth and prosperity teacher/preacher. Why? The premise of their theology is not even biblical.

The Word of Faith movement grew out of the Pentecostal movement in the late 20th century. Its founder was E. W. Kenyon, who studied the metaphysical New Thought teachings of Phineas Quimby. Mind science (where "name it and claim it" originated) was combined with Pentecostalism, resulting in a peculiar mix of orthodox Christianity and mysticism. Kenneth Hagin, in turn, studied under E. W. Kenyon and made the Word of Faith movement what it is today. Although individual teachings range from completely heretical to completely ridiculous, what follows is the basic theology most Word of Faith teachers align themselves with.

and,

The Word of Faith movement is deceiving countless people, causing them to grasp after a way of life and faith that is not biblical. At its core is the same lie Satan has been telling since the Garden: “You shall be as God” (Genesis 3:5). Sadly, those who buy into the Word of Faith movement are still listening to him. Our hope is in the Lord, not in our own words, not even in our own faith (Psalm 33:20-22). Our faith comes from God in the first place (Ephesians 2:8;Hebrews 12:2) and is not something we create for ourselves. So, be wary of the Word of Faith movement and any church that aligns itself with Word of Faith teachings. [Same source as link above]
Hagin has great teaching on healing and prosperity and he wrote the Midas touch. My ex went to a Rhema Bible school and I heard all the teaching. It's good. They were wrong in that particular 1 year Bible school, on some subjects like deliverance, so he didn't teach that. He didn't throw the kid away with the bathwater though.

He also was anointed to teach on how to be lead by the Holy Spirit and how to recognize the inward witness...also very good on praying in tongues....I learned a lot from that one.....many other people took what he said and ran off into the ditch in some areas......he certainly believed in divine healing as he himself was healed when he was 17..had 3 incurable diseases....no one came to pray for him...

A little leaven leavens the whole lump. A bad tree cannot produce good fruit.

Well then the cessationists can stop preaching alltogether. They have some sound teaching too.

Sometimes we all get in the ditch on some things...that's why we need each other in the body of Christ...

Hi coby,

I have to respectfully disagree with you about Hagin. It's like the old saying the best lies have some truth to them. I can't comment on Rhema bible college as I know nothing about it.

That's commendable of you. I wish more people understood that.

This is Hagin's idea of being led by the Spirit. This is atrocious. He makes a mockery of the Holy Spirit. This is blasphemy.

THAT'S BLASPHEMY!

land sakes o Goshen if that don't just put the fear of God right into you...or someone...somewhere

There is a real authority in the Lord. Many teachers will appear and seem to be teaching some good ideas.
But look at their teaching, where it leads and the deeds they do.

Hagin for whatever good things he did, he led to Latter reign heresy, the insanity of health and wealth teaching, little gods heresy, changing the gospel into gnostic ideas and we still are suffering the results to this day.

Now ofcourse some of the things he said seem ok, or else no one would have followed his lead.
No matter what self flattery people might heap on themselves, again it is unchecked self propoganda. The whole basis of authority is not based on what people say about themselves or their own apparent sincerity, they can be a self deluded as the people who listen to them.

What I find stunning is the failing and heresy of such teachers is no problem to their followers. I mean all leaders have their failings, it is wrong to judge them against the Lord who they claim to follow and on whose foundation they claim to condemn the rest of the christian world and theology. What stunning hypocracy, if you forgive inconsistency in the speaker how can you claim any authority in condemning inconsistency in any part of others positions, but that does not stop them one little bit.

Quote from Hagin "Man is in the same class as God. He is a spirit being."

Where in scripture is this written? No where.
What does this teaching lead on to? We are little gods.

It is annoying and ignorant that people put up Hagin as if he has authority or preaches sense.
A 5 minute section is enough to destroy all his otherwise standard teaching or theology. But that is how poison works, just a few ideas that change everything. The secret knowledge.

Now there are many who are not ashamed of what is done Gods name, they actually support it, rather than disassociate themselves from it.

Lying, deception, fraud, exaguration, are really part of the gospel, we just do not want to air it in public, it might put people off.

That is the argument, rather than this is a farce, and the fact that normal simple morality would have closed this down a long time ago, it has now run rampant in the church, and even defended by Grace7x77 and the crowd as if pointing out these failing preachers and movements is actually satans work. Because blasphemy, sin, heresy are no longer issues, it is fill the churches with non-believers with a christian label, and the world is saved.

I have one simple question - having fits, laughing, being drunk, not being able to communicate who does this benefit?
No one.

It is like people are aspiring to be high on a drug and not walking in love and holiness, purity and righteousness.
Now literally anyone can achieve the same results on morphine, cocaine or crack. So that is following God.

No it is shame and being made a complete fool of by a spirit of delusion. We are called to life and real relationships in openness and honesty, yet this is all about shame that has to be hidden and the followers deny it exists, and slander those who want to openly talk about what they believe and how they behave and the morals they claim to follow.

They'd be better off being lost and high on drugs than doing these things and calling it the Holy Spirit.
