No flesh is obeying nor has obeyed the Laws of God perfectly, only Jesus Christ.

Why is communicating with the dead forbidden in most churches? Does the bible say any and every form of contact is off limits?
There are no spirits, or souls, of humans roaming around on earth, for all spirits go back to God who gave them, and the soul that is with God is with Jesus, for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, and the souls not with God go to the lower parts of the earth.

There is no praying for the dead, no receiving prayer from the dead, and no help from them.

Deu 18:9 When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
Deu 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
Deu 18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
Deu 18:12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Deu 18:13 Thou shalt be perfect with the LORD thy God.
Deu 18:14 For these nations, which thou shalt possess, hearkened unto observers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the LORD thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.

The woman of En Dor really did not contact Samuel, but it was an evil spirit disguising as Samuel, for the Bible says the dead sleep, and know nothing for they do not have conscience, unless they are with the Lord, but they cannot communicate with us for God will not allow it.

We do not have the power to wake the dead to communicate with them, and God will not wake them up for us, and the evil spirits do not have the power to wake them.

You missed the point....God does not give commands, laws and punishments for those things which men CANNOT DO......I.E.. the fact there is a law against it = it is possible.....
You missed MY point; where do you get this Special Knowledge of what God does and does not do regarding the giving of commandments, laws and punishments?

Even unsaved people know necromancy is of the devil, and all the unsaved I know are aware that talking to the dead is not something a Christian should be involved in.

Be really careful these days people... There are LOTS of people claiming Christianity. Like those demonic pastors in sweden who want to take away crosses from churches. SOME ALREADY HAVE! Yet they would tell you "we are Christians :) " Smile to your face and tell it to you nice, yet they support every anti-God cause under the sun!

hAHAHAHAHA

I cant take this forum seriously anymore. Calling out necromancy as a sin = perfect Christian.
Quoting Bible = condemning Christians
and your profile says you're a Christian.....

You cant make this stuff up. "lol" indeed. totally like you know.

.........

Ditto.

The fact that you are defending people in ERROR instead of people standing up for TRUTH is telling.

Have it your way, burger king religion.

This thread is too depressing to engage in, another one I need to exit. Just like the global warming thread, its filled with twisting and rejecting the Bible, typical apostate Christianity in the last days. Rejecting truth in teh name of being nice, friendly, polite and the whole deal. WILLINGLY ignorant of the flood, very prevelant. And in this case: WILLINGLY ignorant of necromancy being a sin, even after shown from Scripture, the OP continues to dance around it, twist it to his liking.

Enjoy the heresy fellas, im out of the thread, AGAIN. Truth has been presented by many and its been REJECTED. Just remember, those perfect Christians you mentioned "condemning" by quoting the Bible, are doing just that... quoting the Bible. Maybe the issue isnt with the people quoting it, but the author of the Bible? The condemnation isnt the one quoting the Bible, its the Bible VERSE which comes not from US but from God's Spirit, INSPIRED.

Personally I believe its wrong to contact the dead. They are most likely demons rather than our loved ones who have passed on. The bible forbids us from doing these things

You keep proving me right, and this is no longer about talking to the dead, it’s about your patronizing attitude. How dare you talk to me like that? You can disagree with me around the clock, but don’t you ever try to question my faith in Jesus.

Maybe I have... Maybe you can help...

Can you cite scriptural support for your claim that God does not give commands, laws and punishments for those things which men cannot do?

Just a thought... Jesus never commanded us to be correct on every single point of doctrine, but He did command us to love each other.

Love God and love each other, and truth will take care of itself.

A rule is to put in place to prohibit behaviour through consequences, which means the possibility for the behaviour exists otherwise no need for the rule.

Why would God state the obvious, He gave us the ability to reason.
