Only they who support their perspectives of scriptures with correlating scriptures think as I do.
Most others use a superficial interpretation of a scripture, usually from dogma that they have carried for many years, but that when put to the test of correlating scriptures to the event/s described, they fail.
So can you show me who those people are. I have never heard anyway say what you do. And I have been studying end times theology for almost 3 decades now.

Do you have any New Testament scriptures that show that the temple is anything other than the body of the believer
Of course.

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (2 Thess 2:3,4)

1. Who is the Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition, also called "that Wicked [One]"? None other than the Antichrist (the Beast of Revelation 13).

2. What is his primary goal? To oppose and blaspheme God while he calls Himself God and Christ (hence Anti-Christ).

3. What does he do to promote false worship? He sets up the Abomination of Desolation ("the image of the Beast") within the Holy Place of the future temple, then sits within that temple claiming that he is God.

If this were not a Bible prophecy, it would be hard to believe that a man would have this audacity. But since he has all the supernatural power of Satan behind him, this is complete plausible.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders... (2 Thess 2:8,9)

let's take a look at this 2000 year old man of sin that most posters like to post without the full context:

2 Th 2:3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

2 Th 2:4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

2 Th 2:5 Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?

2 Th 2:6 And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.

2 Th 2:7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. .

So this supposed man of sin who was alive when Paul wrote was and has been restrained for nearly 2000 years.

Hogwash - a myth created in the minds of men.

Not all Israel is Israel in respect to born again Some are in respect to the flesh as those who do not have the Spirit of Christ. If any man has not the Spirit of Christ, the eternal Spirit of God then they do not belong to Him.

Not a myth.
The Church / The Holy Spirit can restrain that for another 2000 if need be.

Im getting a preterist vibe from you.

You dispensationalists are clueless.
Because you read a book and dont like it?
Thats not good evidence.

I'll take dispensationalism over the heretical PRETERISM any day. thank you very much. Enjoy your life in the "new heaven and new earth" that supposedly are HERE already. Yeah thats not being clueless. Smart stuff.

I for one am tired of hearing about AD70. It did NOT NOT NOT fulfill Matthew 24.
For the following reasons:

1. Jesus did not return in the clouds
2. Jesus did not gather His elect
3. There was no risk of there being NONE LEFT unless the days would be shortened
4. It was not the worst time in history
5. The Sheep and Goats judgment HAS NOT happened yet, and the sheep have NOT inherit the kingdom prepared for them since the foundation of the world yet.

And many other reasons...

The AD70 was definately prophecied by Jesus here (not denying that, but it wasnt Matthew 24&25):
Matt 22:7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.
Its quite a common view that not everything Jesus was saying in Mt 24 is one event. Disciples made three questions and Jesus made three answers.
It was the worst time in history for Jews. Events about temple, Israel, Jews, destruction etc were fulfilled in 70AD without any problem.

Many Christians saved their life before 70 AD and run from the massacre, femines and false prophets based on Christ's words, when they saw Roman legions and signs in the sky.

Just a note - 2 Thessalonians was written in 50 AD. The temple was still standing. Its good to know the situation.

If we read in context, matt 24 is talking about end time sign. Seem to me Jesus talk about what happen close to His second coming.

I believe matt 24:15 is not happen yet. I believe Jesus talk about the president of one world government that will reign from the temple.

There has never been one world government and there is no temple. So I still do not get the point, why so many people want this to be about today... There are not even basics of this doctrine present in our days.

Alll this is just cooking from water.

I completely agree friend.

Do you believe that Church = Israel? Meaning you go back to the O.T. and you see a text about Jerusalem or Israel and say "Thats the church!"

Not asking to start a debate or anything, just wanting to hear where you come from. Reason I asked that specific questions is I use biblehub alot and it has free commentaries from men in the 1800s mostly, Albert Barnes, John Gill, Benson, etc. ANd those guys tend to view all the O.T. prophecies about Israel as something about church.
Like a verse can say something about Jerusalem's superiority, and they will comment on it saying "The church here is...." "people flocking to the gospel church.."

I find that interestng.
Hello Hevosmies,

Regarding those of the OT belonging to the church, consider what Jesus said in Matt.16:18:

"I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it."

The words "I will build" are in the future tense. That being true, Jesus saying "I will build my church" would make no sense if it included the OT saints. "I will build" infers that it was not built yet.

Just something to consider

Rev 13

7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

The power was given him over all .........nations

It mean all nations will be under one leader or one world government

Do you realize that people in the first century called the Roman empire as "all nations, whole world, all tongues"?

We should not read so old Scriptures with our imagination of today, with how we use words today.

Actually, I think the motive why people would do this would be for very simple reasons, convenience (and yes there are people who willingly want to get microchip implants because it is easier to wave your hand to pay for goods over a scanner, rather than take the money out of your pocket), be part of society.
Good morning Alertandawake,

While it is true that people will be willing to receive a device on their person for the sake of convenience, the major reason will be that the mark/device will be the only valid method of electronically crediting and debiting ones bank account. Therefore, no mark, no electronic crediting or debiting. Anyone without the mark will not be able to pay their bills, buy food or gas, etc. Plainly, anyone without will not be able to be apart of the world system.

I have no firm position regarding prophecies, but I am more and more inclining to preterism.

It makes more sense, its more simple, it corresponds with the era Scriptures were written in. There are many things I have no answer to, however, because I am quite new in this field and I have to read more about it. I was a futurist for the most of my life.

There has never been a global, planetary world government. And its not possible to imagine today.

There has been many world governments in the biblical meaning - Babylonians, Greeks, Romans.

In my opinion some of what in the Bible was the story that happen that era, some are will happen in the future.

I believe rev 13 not happen yet.

I never heard in the first century people can not buy or sale without mark of the beast.

I do not know if Roman was govern all the world. I do not know if China or India was under Roman in the first century.
