well there might be. But according to John, they may claim to be calvanists, and believe in OSAS. but they were never saved. that is why they left to prove they were never saved.

Are you going to reject what John said?

The gospel is not about what calvin said, or what anyone else said, it is about the good news of Jesus Christ.

so now your back under law? Paul did not have salvation in mind when he said this. He had in mind striving to be more like christ, and never assuming he ever made it to the super spiritually mature christian where he could sit still and not do anymore.. Which is a mistake many Christians make.
You keep evading the main issue. I want to know what a Calvinist needs to do to be saved! Please answer.

I am not a calvanist. so why are you asking me? I can't speak for them. I just have never heard them say anything which would preclude them from being saved, unlike what I have heard from you.

I am not evading anything, it is you who are evading by refusing to acknowledge what John said.

Which is a huge threat to all dead religionists who insists that is their work that will get them saved. Not the work of Christ alone.
it's odd how the common denominator (< pun:confused:) is a despising of the reformers.

this is why I hate putting a name on things. it should be about the word of God. not what men said 1000 years ago!

people are fighting a religious name, and are blinded by what people believe because of their preconcieved notions about them.

why not him?

Matthew 11:27
"All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

According to Calvinists all humanity is depraved. Is heaven full of depraved sinners?

The common denominator is actually despisement of the Lord's work. No wonder same will follow towards those who believe, teach and preach this work. John 15:18-20.

Yeah it will be. Depraved sinners saved by the grace of God.

do you think it will be full of people who somehow fulfilled the law on their own?

According to Calvinists all humanity is depraved.
according to Paul.
who learned from Jesus.

de·praved (d-prvd)
adj.
Morally corrupt; perverted.

Romans 3
No One Is Righteous

9What then? Are we Jewsa any better off?b No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin, 10as it is written:

“None is righteous, no, not one;
11 no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
no one does good,
not even one.”
13 “Their throat is an open grave;
they use their tongues to deceive.”
“The venom of asps is under their lips.”
14 “Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”
15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 in their paths are ruin and misery,
17 and the way of peace they have not known.”
18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

19Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God. 20For by works of the law no human beingc will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

Is heaven full of depraved sinners?
redeemed depraved sinners?
who are born again and are now in Christ Jesus WASHED BY HIM, buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him in His Resurrection?
by Grace through faith?
what saith the Scriptures?

The Righteousness of God Through Faith
21But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— 22the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God’s righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. 26It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

27Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith. 28For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law. 29Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, 30since God is one—who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. 31Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

so, what's your problem?
you weren't depraved?:D

According to scripture. ;)

Is heaven full of depraved sinners?
Nope.

Philippians 3:21 ESV

Who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44 ESV

So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable. It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power. It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.

1 John 3:2 ESV

2 Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears,[a] we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

We will be transformed!

His will, not mine.

Eph. 1

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love 5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship[c] through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will[/B]— 6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace 8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, 9 he[d] made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, 10 to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.

11 In him we were also chosen,[e] having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, 12 in order that we, who were the first to put our hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
