Literal interpretation of this is the PLAIN MEANING of the text,
I do not think its a definition of literalism. "No dogs in heaven" has a plain meaning, but not a literal one. "You are a rock" has also a plain meaning, but not a literal one.

On the other hand.. does anything in the Bible have a "plain" meaning? All is quite deep and has many layers. Both literal and metaphorical verses.

Or you could create artificial intelligence, i.e. give it ability to learn and develop. But its not free will either.

hmm i don't know; what if it comes back and says 'why did you give me ability to learn and develop? i found bad teachers and got all screwed up, beep-beep-bloop' ?

I think the universe works on probability. Probability allows certainity of events and also a free will.

Its like in a casino. No matter how many times you win, at the end, the casino always wins.
