Look, people can explain things to you, but unfortunately we cannot comprehend things for you.
Every one of the passages I, and others have cited, show that Jesus' perfect obedience to the Law is EXACTLY why He was a sufficient Sacrifice.

If Jesus wasn't obedient to the Law in Romans 5, what exactly was He obedient to?
That's a great question. Thanks.
Nice to see someone actually thinking instead of shooting at me mindlessly.
Let's take a look at that. We should also look at Matt.5:17 at some point as well. (or the Prophets) ???

Romans 5:19
For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Like I said, nothing about the law.
And certainly not a statement they we are saved by Jesus' obedience to the law.
But what was Christ obedient to? Good question.
In short. Jesus was obedient to the Father.
The Father had specific plans for him to fulfill, just as he has specific plans for us to fulfill.
John 5:19
Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.
John 5:36
“I have testimony weightier than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to finish—the very works that I am doing—testify that the Father has sent me.
John 15:10
If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love.
Laish had the good character to realize and admit that his Thumbs Down votes were childish.
And he apologized for his behavior. But here you are calling me "puerile ".
That's good for Laish, however I do not feel the same conviction. I didn't just come into the thread and start randomly giving you thumbs down (I know you cannot think that deeply in order to see the contradistinction).
You've earned every single one of them. And yes, your behavior is puerile.
If I need to know anything
Jesus always tells me.
And if I have any questions I just ask the Lord.
And wait for His answer.
what if someone else says Jesus told them something different? How do you decide who is right?
I have a guess, I am right, the other guy is wrong, right?
This is why the bible is important, there is a blueprint where you can check out which one is right.
I see. So you are claiming maturity? That's pretty funny.
We are still waiting for an answer to your claim.
Where is the scripture that says we are saved by Jesus' obedience to the law?
Tick, tock... (still waiting) Zzzz...…….. ???
Hi bro
I would like to get more happy, cheery and loving as a person.
Thats my request. (ps: I opt-out of suffering if its required to achieve the above mentioned qualities)
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. - James 1:2-4
I've always thought about that.
If we are saved by Jesus' obedience to the law, meaning he fulfilled the mosaic law., then that is imputed to us through faith, wouldnt that make it justification by works? We are justified for keeping the mosaic covenant perfectly, alltho Jesus kept it for us, but still.
I wonder if there are other explanations available. I certainly havent heard any.
Apparently you can't even comprehend things for yourself.
Why should I believe anything you say?
You have tried to prove that Jesus saved us by obedience to the law.
Do you really believe that? Why?
You are incapable of substantiating the claim.
It is very kind of you to help poor preacher4truth while he flounders.
But maybe it ts time for him to stand up on his own and prove his own claims.
He created this mess. Why is it your job to fix it now?
That's a great question, thanks.
If Jesus was the only one who could keep the law perfectly.
Why would he save us to do something only he could do?
That would be setting us up for failure.
The fact is, no one could keep the law perfectly.
The law was in conflict with itself. Jesus pointed this out on many occasions.
Here is one of many examples.
The law said the work of circumcision was to take place on the eighth day after birth.
But work is prohibited on the Sabbath. What to do, what to do... ???
John 7:23
Now if a boy can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, why are you angry with me for healing a man’s whole body on the Sabbath?
Jesus kept the laws of God, but he did not keep the traditions of men. The Pharisees didn't understand the Laws of God. They had added more laws to make sure that people kept the law as they thought it should be kept. They actually tried to build a fence around the Law with their own laws. They were only concerned with the outward appearance of keeping the law. They did not even understand the Spirit in which the laws of God were given.
Jesus condemned them for adding to the Law of God and for being hypocrites.
Thanks for your post and the effort to look up and quote those scriptures.
But that's not what we are looking for.
Do you have one that says we are saved by Jesus' obedience to the law?
That's what we are looking for. Thanks.
You are taking this out of context of the full statement that was made, you do know this right:unsure:
Kinda reminds me of what the fake news people do.:confused:
Yes. preacher4truth is getting his butt kicked. Very entertaining indeed.
This thread is a high entertainment venue that's for sure. Seriously, no one is getting their butt kicked here with the exception of the OP.
These do not answer the question.
Do you have one that says we are saved by Jesus' obedience to the law?
That's what we are looking for. Thanks.
What would I admit that I was wrong about?
Is it wrong to ask questions? Why?
Apparently not, especially for the OP.
I was mostly fine with the rest of the statement.
This is the part I wanted to discuss. It stands on its own as a question.
I'm not the one claiming that we are saved by Jesus' obedience to the law.
Do you have a scrioture for that yet? Why not?
How many days do I have to wait for you to substantiate a claim?
