You say "works cannot produce life" but yet but doing nothing can produce life? James plainly said by "works a man is justified". Doing nothing produces nothing.

What works shall we add to the finished works of Jesus Christ?? Jesus said on the cross "It is finished". Please look carefully Jesus did not say I am finished but it is finished.

Frankly the book of James is beyond your ability to comprehend on a Spiritual level. You are not able to take milk let alone meat.

Nothing you can do can produce anything of merit in the light of what Christ has done. Stop holding back and give it all to Jesus.

I understand that God has said my part is to receive what He has done. I cannot add to what Christ has done. My part is to say yes God I'm a sinner. Yes God I deserve to go to eternal condemnation. Yes God there is nothing I can do that is worthy of forgiveness. Thank you God for Your grace. God only You can save me from my sin. I give myself to You. You have promised to forgive any who will come to Christ. I come with nothing to give. By mercy forgive me and grant me eternal life.

That's my part. Jesus suffered bled and died. He then rose again from the tomb victorious over death and sin. That's His part. What is your part?

So labouring is doing something, it is not sitting still doing nothing, not a mere mental assent of the mind.

Jn 6:63 "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life".

Jesus' words are spirit. Those that obey those words have life, Heb 5:9.

Then I would say that james is telling the jews that if you had faith(talking about true belief), it would be expressed physically:But i think that is talking about sanctification,and they would not want to do that nor could they have done that unless they had accessed the grace GOD provided through faith.

But if we are talking about salvation then JESUS said that the works of GOD is to believe on the one GOD has sent,and that would be faith only in the spiritual.

My part is obeying Him. Obeying Him means obeying the Gospel Hebrews 5:8-9. He has asked us to be faithful unto death so that we would receive the crown of life. Rev. 2:10 .

But Jesus says to forgive, and if you do not He will not forgive you.

What do you classify as a bad person ?

By Jesus, a person can be one of the worst we can think of, but if he repents and accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior at some time in his life he will be forgiven and be in heaven as well.

Many are called but few are chosen.

I have God's free gift of salvation ,
so I know first hand what it takes and how I got and why I got it.
So when I hread or hear someone saying it takes this or that or nothing at all.

I know if they are lying or deceived.

Because I have it.
