I think its evident the blessing of the Lord has been on this nation above all others...if you know the bible, you know the blessing comes because of those righteous men and women that serve and honor Christ.
There has never been a more moral nation than this nation, even with all its problems and failures. This has made our nation great, but now we are becoming as the other godless nations of the world and even worse because we have had so much given to us by God.
Right, the premise is that it's "evident" this country has been blessed [in spite] of our wickedness. It still doesn't change an opinion to a fact. There is nothing factual in that opinion... you did speak about wanting only the facts didn't you? :p

Yes Utha I suppose I am. Oh by the way nice tattoo, though I'm certain the bible is against tattoos because you are defacing gods perfect creation.
Welcome to CC MissCourtney! Please understand Christians here as well as elsewhere, are in vastly different places in their walk, trying to emulate our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. While we virtually all love God and His Word, we sometimes forget where we came from before the Lord worked in our heart. Bearing that in mind, please understand how hurt and distraught we are to see His word cast aside, and those that love and defend His Word shown such hatred in our present society.

That being said, it is truly our deepest desire that you, and others experience the saving Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Please try and be patient with us with the knowledge that we do love you.

I did. What did I miss exactly?
Apparently, the whole thing. The one line you quoted was a mere snippet of the entire thought, and had you been honest enough to quote the whole post, rather than cherry-picking it, you couldn't have made your attempt to devastate me with reason.

My intention wasn't to "devastate" you... or to cherry pick. That was the only part I blatantly disagreed with. As such, it was the only part I wanted to specifically respond to. You would have to of discerned my motives to say that was what I was trying to do. :(

That is just one of the constant rhetoric spewed out that I really don't understand. Maybe I'm dumb/ignorant, I just don't see our nation as any worse than any other time in our history. I'm sorry if I offended you.

It can be argued that practicing homosexuality is defacing God's perfect creation.

You're 19 years old, misspell Utah, don't capitalize God, defend abominations and you're arrogant.

You'll fit right in here at CC. ;)

SO WHAT NOW? As we see sins appetite enveloping our society? Do we sit back and just wallow in God's upcoming judgement, not recognizing we too as Christians live on the same land? Firstly, 1 John 3:2 tells me "...it has not yet been revealed what we shall be...." Our doom is not inevitable as a nation. John Wesley writes: "Give me a hundred people who fear nothing but God, and who hate nothing but sin, and who know nothing but Jesus Christ and Him crucified, and I will shake the world"....or in this instance Our nation.

We will see the ending chapters of the storyline to this earth as gloomy, as we read Revelations, yet in every step of tribulation there are victories of Gods yet unseen. Our natural inclination is to be so precise--trying always to forecast accurately what will happen next--that we look upon uncertainty as a bad thing. We think that we must reach some predetermined goal of belief, but that is not the nature of the Spiritual life. The Nature of the Spiritual life is that we are certain in our uncertainty. We are not uncertain of God just uncertain of what He is going to do next.

If our certainty is only in our beliefs, we develop a sense of self-righteousness, become overly critical, and are limited by the view that our beliefs are complete and settled. But when we have the right relationship with God, life is full of spontaneous, joyful uncertainty and expectancy.

Jesus said ".....believe also in Me" John 14:1 Not, "Believe certain things about me". Leave everything to Him and it will be gloriously and graciously uncertain how He will come into our nations rescue. But we can be certain that He is faithful and will come in. Somehow, someway. God's wrath is not my focus, for what can we do about that as Christians except to remain faithful to Him.

That your perfect or you can't have tattoos?:p
Woah! WOAH!!!

I used to be perfect but I made a mistake once because I wanted to know what it felt like.

Scripture talks about marking the body, but it's not specific about tattoos. Anyway, there's no doubt that my getting a tattoo glorifying Jesus has brought forth the demise of America. :)

You should of just stopped and thought. You will be in the lowest level of the pit with Sirk, listening to the devil play his guitar out of tune forever and ever and ever.

You must be "The Most Interesting Man in the World." But I don't like Dos Equis. I prefer Boulevard KC Pils.

Christian ministers should not have anything to worry about unless the government does away with two constitutional laws first;

Separation of Church and State

Freedom of Religion

Until those two get done away with legally they can not force Christian ministers to marry same sex couples.........................
You seem to miss the fact that homosexual rights now overide the constitution and religious freedom.
Lawsuits are coming very soon.

MissCourtney -
I John 3:14 reads: We know that we are passed from death unto life, in that we love the brethren. He that does not love his brother abides in death.

Also, the Christian Chat Rule #2 reads:
2. No conduct that is offensive or counterproductive to fellowship.

We like to welcome all to Christian Chat, but if anyone is not here for fellowship (or for wanting to know about Christianity), but simply for disrupting fellowship, offending people, whatever, then that person is not welcome.

Noticed all the new members who seem to have come to the site to defend the gay agenda?

God was talking to the assembly of Israel, not me. And isn't it funny that someone who is okay with homosexuality, regardless of what it says in Leviticus, has a problem with my getting a tattoo. Hmmm.
