There are no upper/lower cases in the biblical languages; adding caps is a common abuse.

John 1:1 reads "the word was with the god, and the word was god'.
"Holy Ghost" is a blatant mistranslation.
"Holy Spirit" is "holy spirit"- the caps added to give the impression that it is a God-Being.
Jesus is God's son, adding the cap ("Son") is for the same deception.

God GAVE Jesus that authority.
AND he often SAID that.

And, just as Jesus said, his Father (Jehovah) is the ONLY true God; Jesus isn't; he represents Him as Moses once did in Egypt.
You are quite correct in the original language there is not the caps that we use in English (thats for a very good reason, the context in which God or god is used)

Yes Jesus has the authority of God the Father, but I was talking about persons within the Trinity.

I was concentrating on Jesus being God:

So taking that Scriptures sates and it cant be read any other way. There is only one true God and Saviour. Isaiah 45.

But Jesus is also God. Thomas thought so when he seen the resurrected Christ..well and alive.. Thomas proclaimed:

John 20:28

Thomas said to him, ‘My Lord and my God!’

And Paul shows us again that Jesus is God:

Titus 2:13

while we wait for the blessed hope--the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

Now these are only scriptures there are many more.

We see in the OLd Testament that God is the one true God and Saviour, and above we see in the New Testament Jesus is also the One True God and Saviour.

So without even making distinctions in personhood, this proves that the Watch Tower society have false beliefs concerning Jesus. He always has been God, and still is, and will continue to be so. As the there is only one True God!

Your demonstration should be rather like this, then:
John 1:1 "THE WORD WAS WITH THE GOD AND THE WORD WAS GOD"
"Holy Spirit" is "HOLY SPIRIT"
Jesus is GOD'S SON

And any lower case is a "deception".

No, it says the word was with the god, and the word was the very stuff of godhood. Enough said.

"

you mean 'a god being'? holy spirit is a correct representation of the god who is spirit. Jesus Christ referred to the holy spirit as HIM.

Jesus is God's son, adding the cap ("Son") is for the same deception
.

'the son' as applied by Jesus to Himself was in direct connection with 'the father' showing His total uniqueness. Capitals or not are irrelevant,

God GAVE Jesus that authority. AND He often SAID that.
As a man on earth He received His authority from the Father.

And, just as Jesus said, his Father (Jehovah) is the ONLY true God;
He did not. That is a half lie. He added 'AND Jesus Christ Whom You have sent'.

Jesus isn't; he represents Him as Moses once did in Egypt.
This is so ridiculous that it is beneath contempt. Moses bore witness to HIM.

For thquestion,

Just to add to the posts above. As we can see Jesus is God and Saviour, and far superior to any Angel - even Michael ==

5 For to which of the angels did God ever say,
‘You are my Son;
today I have become your Father’[a]?

Or again,
‘I will be his Father,
and he will be my Son’[b]?

6 And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says,
‘Let all God’s angels worship him.’[c]

7 In speaking of the angels he says,
‘He makes his angels spirits,
and his servants flames of fire.’[d]

8 But about the Son he says,
‘Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
a sceptre of justice will be the sceptre of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy.’[e]

10 He also says,
‘In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.
11 They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
12 You will roll them up like a robe;
like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.’[f]

13 To which of the angels did God ever say,
‘Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies
a footstool for your feet’[g]?

14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

Where in the bible does it say the archangel Michael is God and Saviour?

Worship with Spirit. What is Spirit if not like the wind. With gusto or with gentle calm. See the song Spirit of God In the clear Running Water. Here clearly Running water represents movement and without movement there is only no movement.death.
So in gusto I serve in every breath. With great excitement I take these breathes, and in Great Appreciation for Breath itself I Live for, for in just one moment I did not know whether there would be another breath. In one moment of walking in deaths shadow
Will you ever understand the nature of God. Love. The Love he has created All we have. Everything. Absolutely Everything.In great gratitude for a message fwd at the end of an eMail it read: When you have nowhere left to turn, That Is When You Meet God.

Then why not all those CLAIMING to be Christians here and at other forums?
You ignore the teachings about wolves in sheep's clothing. There are those that in their hearts reject the Word of God. They say that they are Christians and try to act like they are. Denominations have been taken over by these people. They lie about their being Christians and perpetrate evil. This has been going on since Jesus and he warned believers about them.

Why don't you know about this teaching?

Finally.
The Word was made flesh. It's all about Words. In my youth we had a saying put on us often enough. It went like this: Watch Your Words.

So these Words spoke by Jesus in Matthew 7:7 simply says Whatever You Ask Will Be Given You. You are an individual.You are not a group, Crowd, People Or Nation.
By Definition alone, I am as You are, human.

But as things stand, Doubt and not Belief is the order of the day. Doubt is the antithesis. Doubt Kills more than any other singular Word.

So If you pray once and believe, Your needs WILL be met.

What you missing is patience. In this instant gratification world we get so upset with, downloads take o so long tears of frustration, we loose the essential bit: BELIEF.

Why do you reject the Word of God in John 1:1 to 16? God and Jesus are the same being. Also when the disciples asked to see God Jesus replied "If you have seen me you have seen the Father. The Father and I are one."

John 1

John 1New International Version (NIV)

The Word Became Flesh
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

15 (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’”) 16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

Sigh.
C'mon Phil- don't use such stale church tricks when we were, I THINK, having sincere discussion!
He told Israel there were no Gods besides him- because they were starting to worship the imaginary Gods of the surrounding nations.

Was Moses and Jesus and the Judges of Israel False Gods?
Jesus said his Father is the ONLY true God.

Have any other definitions to "ONLY"?
You ignore the verses about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Verses having Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

Matthew 28:19
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

2 Corinthians 13:14
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.

God the three in one. Live with it. The Bible plainly makes that assertion!!

When they come to my door I get them upset by explaining where the word Jehovah comes from. It hurts their brain and forces them to think. Haven't had any in several years. Maybe they list my house as a place to be avoided.

Endoscopy, you are challenging everyone in sight. What do you believe? Are you a JW or a Christian? A clear answer please!

If you are a JW, you will be banned sooner or later. If you are a Christian, why do you keep quoting Christians and telling them that they're wrong?

============================================

some do. we have been allowed by The Holy Spirit to fellowship and share together,
until, that is, where the stumbling block of satan comes in, they deny the deity of Christ,
and that He is God become flesh for the saving of 'mankind', through His Holy Love...

this is a mystery to them, yet to be revealed...

but we believe that this is only a 'temporary' thing, for many JW's truly Love Yeshua...
when they hear His Voice, for real, and not a mere man's made-up-doctrine, they will come
into Jesus Christ fold...Hope, Faith, Charity'...

As I stated a few times I am Reformrd (Calvinist) in my beliefs. I have been an elder and deacon in the Reformed Church in America and the Presbyterian Church of America. Both having Reformed view of Christianity. If I choose I can argue both sides of issues. The pastor we had at one church had us take sides in a debate over different issues. You learn a lot arguing the side you disagree with.

If you notice I many times use scripture to make my point. I am 73 years old and have been a Christian since I was 10 years old.

Fair enough, and thanks for responding. I understand your position, but just as it takes effort on the part of your readers to understand your intent, so I would encourage you to understand the intent of the posts you quote. At times you seem to make some rather unwarranted assumptions.

That depends on what you assume my unwarranted assumptions are. I have responded to theQuestion who has undertones I have found in atheists. I have been trying to find out what he stands for. As Dennis Prager states I prefer clarity over agreement. Therefore I put forward my positions by posting scripture to back up my position. In Christianity there is a wide variety of concepts creating the distinctives of each denomination. However the core beliefs as stated in the Apostles Creed are non negotiable.

Yes justshalllivebyfaith, Jesus's God is God the Father. Do you know why according to John 3:16 "God so loved the world He gave His "ONLY" begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him/Jesus should not perish, but have eternaL life." In what respect is Jesus the" ONLY BEGOTTEN" Son of God as in there are no others.

Or to put it another way, can you please give me an example of a son that does not share the same nature as its father? :eek:

IN GOD THE SON,
bluto
Amen! The Father and Son are ONE in essence/nature which means JESUS IS GOD. :)
