What you said is Truth = "to start walking in truth and righteousness, keeping the commandment, statues and Judgement."
There is only One Way for this to take place in a persons heart and has been the foundation of Truth since Genesis.
The Oil is symbolic and represents that One Way.

The Oil is symbolic and represents that One Way.
Let's take a look at what Jesus says in John 12: 35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. 36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
So the lamp is the light. Let's take a look at the oil, because the oil keeps the lamp on. If ye have no oil, then ye have no light in the lamp.
In 1 John 1: 4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father. 5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another. 6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. Paul says in Romans 16: 26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
So when you are keeping those commandments, statues and Judgement, you become, Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: (Colossians 2: 7, 6)
So to keep that oil full as possible you have to understand what Jesus says in Luke 4: 4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.
