I just read a site that says Jesus preached through the Holy Spirit and not His own Spirit and the Holy Spirit raised Jesus who was sleeping and had died. like the Holy Spirit was acting on behalf of Jesus. that completely is false if that was the case then the Holy Spirit conquered death not Jesus.
Some of this is a breach of sound method to seek to multiply additional hypothetical possibilities where they are not necessary. Example is one ear doesn't make a person not hear both ears would have to be cut off the Flesh outside ear didn't hurt the ear drum inside the ear, you may not hear full range but the ear is still functional
I would offer. The work of salvation is not accredited to human hands in any way shape or form.
Even in the Garden the beginning of the three day labor of the love of God. The father put the disciples asleep so that they could not be accredited as working with the Son. . . suffering in prayer for strength to finish the good work . The gospel is limited to the two working as one.
Nothing is attributed to the sin inspired crowds . The gospel key I believe binds that kind of spirit of lies with eternal chains.
I would think the cutting off the ear in that parable represented no faith that comes as it is written.
They were not given ears to hear what the Spirit says to the churches (believers) .He cut off the ear of the servant of the high priest to signify a deaf Adler .The one Master Rabbi as High Priest that lorded it over the faith of others. You could say he took away the ear of his messenger. And they with the focus on Judas were used to represent those under the "spirit of judgment" as those who fall backward slain of God . The kiss of Judas like the poison of a Adler, pronounced death upon his own self .
The number twelve a remnant of all the apostles is used in parables to represent the bride of Christ coming down on the last day , Judas was replaced with Matthias .The tribe of Dan for the same reason was used to represent the gates as tribes. as apostles do foundational walls . The cutting off the ear would seem to fit the understanding as a offering I would offer.
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me? Mark14:48
Twice to emphasize the witness of God. The words I am he show the power of the gospel to appose the oral traditions of men that fall backward slain in the Spirit.
They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.ohn 18:5-7 King James Version (KJV)
Christians bow forward. Like John leaning on Him .
