We are able to do that just like all the people before us have been able to verify the Bible as accurate.
Funny you should say that while you are trying to tell me the Bible is lying about Adam being the first man and only 8 people on earth being spared from the flood...

It is a slippery slope to accuse someone of lying at any time when it comes to the Word of God. There are levels in the Word of God. Paul taught to the gentiles, Israel and the kings and queens. The Word is eternal, our understanding of it scant.

He is not telling you the Bible is lying. You are telling him.

There are two schools of thought, both of them prove there were more than "8" souls. It is true there were only 8 ADAMIC souls aboard but no where does it state there were only 8 souls in total.

A lot of Gods Word is found in the parts we read over, or read past. It is not until a question like this, which opens our eyes to what is hidden in plain sight. Sometimes we find a fact that applies to only that one thing "read more careful" or to that one point or it is the last puzzle piece in a truth of Gods Word where many facts have been gathered but we could not make sense of them. Then God opens our eyes and puts all those facts into perfect order and we find ourselves with an understanding and a much deeper appreciation of the wonderous and deeper knowledge of God. So it is right in front of you here. It is not screaming out because for a person doing a "getting to know you read of the bible" a surface story, it does not matter. It is for those who are back and seeking a bit deeper look. Who knows, I could be wrong. That is between you and God.

Genesis 6:18 But with thee will I establish my covenant and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
True, that covenant is between them.

Genesis 6:19 And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
But, there it is, clear as day. Kind after kind applies to humans, in the eyes of God.

Genesis 6:20 Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.

Genesis 6:21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee and it shall be for food for thee, and for them.

Me, I am not a "world wide Noah flood" follower. I am a "kill all the fallen angel and the giants a follower". Not that it makes a difference in the end (as far as my knowledge goes right now, but remember that could change with a single fact from somewhere else, also keeps me humble).

My brother is a psychologist and he does testing & evaluations. At one point he was the director of the psychology debt at our local children's hospital. He feels confident in his ability to be able to determine what the problem is. He often feels there is nothing he can do to correct the problem. Although you hear talk about treatment programs. Often the issue is the child is disruptive and the school insists that the parent medicate the child or remove them from the school. My father was prescribing a LOT of Ritalin before he retired. The issue here is they paste a label on someone that can do more damage then good. They often have no cure or a solution to the issues. With God we have answers to every question and a solution to every problem we will ever have. If Science had answers and solutions then I would server Science. As it is only God has answers and solutions so I serve God. He may or may not use Science. He may or may not use people. That is all up to what He knows to be best for us. He shows us the way to obtain what we want and need in life. He knows what is best for us a lot better then we know. I tend to make a mess out of things and God always seems to get it right.

That's why they call it a practise.

Any way what I was going to say is "Theology is the study of the Words of God, Science is a study of the Works of God".

But watch out for "new" proofs that may be coming our way. That doesn't necessarily make them truth. They will just be said to be.

Well I have to think in terms of infinite nothingness????? to finite, here am I. To speak takes words and words take letters and The holy language of God is Hebrew. So I don't know, to me it is Gods language given to His chosen people. I have a problem with the whole "Jewish" thing as they were only one tribe of 12, not to mention that anyone who resided there could be called Jewish...………..

And yes, I do believe God spoke and nothing became everything. Do you?

Pretty much all I know about the Jewish is what I find in the Word. What goes on outside of that I don't know. I do know if I had a brain for it, (I should pray for the gift of language) I would love to learn the language. With every letter having a meaning, and a numerical value, and how that all works together in the Word fascinates me.

I just watched a teaching on this on YouTube. She said you can only define nothing if you actually have something as a comparison. If you do not have something, then you can not have nothing, because nothing is a lack of something.

"Jewish" is a derogatory word used during the Holocaust. They considered themselves to be descendants of Judah, from the tribe of Judah. Jesus is the Lion of Judah. Judah is one of the 12 tribes. Today the only genetic marker we have is the Cohen gene. They are the descendants of Aaron from the tribe of Levi.

The "Jewish" people do not give themselves a name. In the same way we do not use any of the names of God. They use the slang name we give them and they are comfortable with that today. It is a tightly guarded secret what they really call themselves. At one time I used the word Hebrew. This goes back to Abraham when he crossed over the river to leave his land in the city of Ur. Just as they crossed the Jordon river to enter the promised land. Although a Hebrew is considered to be a descendant of Jacob. One of the sons of Abraham.
I do believe God spoke and nothing became everything. Do you?
I believe God spoke. I do not believe there was ever nothing. The universe began as hydrogen & helium with traces of lithium & beryllium. We are told a finite world was created when God condensed a part of His infinite self. They use words like dichotomous, singularity, event horizon and so on. God Himself told me in a dream that the universe expands and the universe will come back together again. The same as a family drifts apart and in another time and another place they will come back together again. Of course now we know it is in Heaven that our family will be reunited. Neil Degrasse Tyson wrote an interesting book about astrophysics.

What I know about the Hebrew Language I have learned from Rabbi Avraham Arieh Trugman teachings on YouTube. About 5 to 7 minitutes per letter. So the whole teaching is less than 3 hours. But I am considered a slow learner so I keep listening to them over and over again.

I was not gifted with language skills at all. My best friends parents were Holocaust survivors, tattoos and all. They didn't speak to much on it, not a subject you push. They were two of the nicest people I have ever known. They were always so good to me, everyone really. I have nothing but good thoughts. I have pondered on Gods Creation and I have come to the conclusion HE HAD A BLAST. I hope these are all things that will be know someday. I personally believe God created EVERY THING. But what do I know. I can't even learn another language. What I have picked up is very helpful though. Opened my eyes on the perfectness of it all.

I have like the worlds slowest internet but at least it is completely unreliable. But it is a price I am willing to pay to see the sky at night and to experience complete silence when ever I want it, well mostly.

Message boards like this were created for people with slow internet speeds. Our internet is around 100 million bits per second. My first modem was 1200 and it was a improvement over the origional 300 bps modems. I was having problems with my wifi connection and was told it would take three days to download a program. When I ran a wire I was able to download the program in three minutes.

Here’s two missing books mentioned in the five Books of Moses.
There were lots of books in the world at the time of Moses as there were a lot of clay tablets also. The question is what did God intend for us today in our day and in our generation. Just as past generations wrote books for us in our day and age we will write books that they will read during the 1,000 year reign of Christ. Because we live in the time of the final and great harvest. This is a time past generations had looked forward to and future generations will look back on. Moses tells us that: "I will provide rain for your land in season, the autumn and spring rains, that you may gather your grain, new wine, and oil." Deut 4:11 So we know that the latter rain or annotating at the end of this age is greater then what the early church saw.

This sounds odd sorry we don’t need to know all of the testimonies of the gospel except the sermon on the mount really forget knowing what happened on the skull mount?
I did say we do not need to know. I said no one adds to what Moses or Jesus gives us. Everything is offered in the way of a commentary or a explanation for us to understand. We do not teach truth. People have to discover truth for themselves. The Holy Spirit is our Guide and our Teacher as well as our Comforter. So we do not need man to teach us. We just try to help people to discover the truth for themselves.

This is how we avoid errors. Look at what Moses gave us. Look at the Red letters and the teaching of Jesus. Then we will better understand what the other authors are teaching us in our Bible. For example Paul says: "it's better to stay unmarried," From there we can go back and look at what Jesus tells us: "His disciples said to Him, “If this is the case between a man and his wife, it is better not to marry.” “Not everyone can accept this word,” Jesus answered, “but only those to whom it has been given. For there are eunuchs who were born that way; others were made that way by men; and still others live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it." (Matthew 11:10,11,12)

Clearly we get more information from Jesus on this question then what we get from Paul. Or even if the teaching is the same. Paul does not add anything to what we receive from Jesus. If people understood this they would not be trying to claim some of the crazy things they are claiming that Paul said. As Peter tells us: "Some parts of his letters are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction." ((2Peter3:16)

Yea you said both, all we need to know is the sermon on the mount and red letters and the five books the rest is commentary is strange.

people gave commentary about what he said on the sermon on the mount along with everything else about him in the NT.

I don’t know where your going with the no one adds to Moses and Jesus, from the get go don’t even know why that came up I wasn’t adding anything it’s clear in Bible there are lost books either on purpose or the scribes did something.

And someone added the red the word.

Why call folks ignorant and unstable to their destruction? While u say man before man really

In Genesis 2:17 we read: "but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil". There are two groups of people: The Calvinists and the Mormons who believe it was God's will for Adam and Eve to eat from this tree. The Calvinists because of their belief in man's basic state of depravity and the Mormons because of the NT passage that says we are Joint Heirs with Christ. The problem with this is nothing in the Bible even comes close to suggesting that we should do what God tells us NOT to do. The story makes this very clear that it was the snake a manifestation of the serpent that deceived Eve into doing what God said Not to do. Then people claim that Adam could not live without Eve so he followed her in her sin so that he could remain with her. There is NOTHING of any substance to back up this romantic idea. It just sounds good to people. It looks to me like the story of Adam and Eve has picked up 6,000 years worth of baggage. Jesus warns us to be careful: “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.” (Matthew 16:6) There seems to be a lot of leaven in this story of Adam and Eve. Perhaps we need to verify what we believe and not just go along with what appeals to our sense of romance and what feels good.
God told Adam not to eat of the tree because he would die.
This was not I will punish you, but a warning it had deadly consequences.
The advice was from God, so to be trusted, except the snake implied an ulterior motive.

God created this dilemma, on purpose. Trust God or risk everything and go the way of death on ones own.
Maybe Adam was bored, not much to do, so experimenting with fruit just seemed the right thing to do.
How many children if they have all the toys in the world, and you say do not play with this one, you will get
hurt, those kids will go ok and not ask, why not.

What parent would leave something lying around that will kill the child? Is that good or bad parenting?
Or are you actually not being really honest and setting up a choice of trust, follow me or go you own way
which I have told you will end very badly.

Has man stopped this propensity for adventure and risk over being safe and sensible?
No, not even for a second. We try, find the limits, go over them, work out ways round them, push them,
bend them, invent new ones, but just accept them, almost imposssssible.

So here I go is this an actual story of a historical event or a representation of what we are like?
Talking snakes are not something we know anything about.
But the characterisation of what we are like, 100% correct.

But to enter eternity we need to establish the relationship of trust and love, and move beyond the desire
to explore ignoring the consequences.
