What is your Idol?
Which one?

Anytime I chose at any time to love more than God at that moment is an IDOL.

I think sadly we think of idols as carved images, and not things we do or worship in our every day life.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

do you agree that we are STILL SINNING?

And how do you KNOW we still sin? Is the law your ONLY Guide?

that does not answer my question

Are you going to be another one who can not answer simple questions?

When you just keep posting passages, you ASSUME I know how YOU interpret those verses.

its not good to ASSUME anything

i am just going by the topic of this thread man.

People accuse people of saying this all the time.

But hey, If you do no think people who say the law is no longer applicable to true believers (I did not see that in your post by the way) then great, we are in agreement.

because I agree, people do say jesus words are no longer valid today.
DO you believe Jesus words are still binding post-resurrection for the gentiles follower of Jesus?

I do and He says the law wont pass unless heaven and earth pass. With that said I believe Jesus gave the perfect example on how to follow God's law.

who keeps the first command 24/7?

I would like to meet him, because i have yet to meet anyone who does not have an idle..
Do you realize when you make such encompassing statements that you are including yourself in that assessment?
I don't believe that you have yet to meet anyone who does not honor the 1st commandment of God and who call themselves Christian.
Unless of course I am mistaken because you don't know any Christians.

The Book of Deuteronomy 10:3-5
So I made an ark of acacia wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in my hand. 4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten [a]commandments, which Jehovah spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and Jehovah gave them unto me. 5 And I turned and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are as Jehovah commanded me.

I have the law written on my heart (Hebrews 8:8-13), a gift from the Holy Spirit and confirmed through the written Word/the Bible (Jeremiah 31:33). I know when I am choosing to sin because I study the Torah and the narrative of their life stories. And I pray that the Father through the Holy Spirit and the work of Jesus Christ will guide me on the path that is right, and to choose right over wrong. As Paul said, Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law:

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
1Jn 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
1Jn 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.

Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.

Pro_15:29 The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
Pro_28:9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Paul verifies that the scriptures have been preserved. How?

Rom 3:1 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision?
Rom 3:2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.

Zec_8:23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

Even though many Jews are blinded to the Messiah Jesus Christ, God says He will save them.

Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Zechariah 10:12 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

And this familiar parable from Jesus, explaining in coded language that the lost sheep of the House of Israel will return to their heavenly Father, but there will be some who hate the thought of the ones who wandered away because of sin, can return through Jesus Christ and his work. (Luk 15:11-32)

Finally, the true gospel is that Jesus will come again and the two houses will be one once again in the Kingdom and all who want to be in that fellowship are welcome to join the commonwealth of Israel, but understand that God the Father, the invisible, is also Jesus Christ, the visible "Immanuel - God with us" and then Christ returned to heaven and then the Holy Spirit was sent (invisible to the naked eye, but only discerned through spiritual eyes.)

And Jesus said and will say again "John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. (Lev 23:39 Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. )

I look forward to celebrating the Last Great Eighth Day of the Feast with my LORD and SAVIOUR Jesus Christ.

Yes i do, i never claimed to be perfect. Thats why i stopped trying tomfollow the law, and put my mind on learning how to love god and others.

Never met anyone who perfectly obeyed this command.

Its one thing to desire to to pit god first in every area of our lives every second of the day

Its another to carry it out.

You remind me of UnitedWithChrist the way you question the scriptures accuracy and validity and those who are Christian and hold them precious. It's uncanny.

I've met a few people who don't think the ten commandments apply today. I will state that anyone who calls themselves Christian and openly admits they don't honor God's first command may wish to reconsider their self-title of , "Christian".

Jesus reiterated the ten commandments as valid in his time and earth remains as does Heaven. Therefore, per Christ's instruction, I would say cursed are those who mock the ten commandments and rest assured they are saved when they admit they can't or do not follow them.

I don't steal.
I don't murder.
I don't lie.
I don't worship idols or any God not my God.
I respect my parents.
I do not commit adultery as a married woman

On and on. See how simple the morality God defined for us and that he wrote in our hearts so that we would never be separated from them sounds? I could go on with the list but they're already printed in my other reply.

If you have a problem following just those six, perhaps you should be very concerned for your soul.

1Ti 1:3 When I was on my way to Macedonia, I urged you to stay in Ephesus so that you could instruct certain people to stop teaching false doctrine

1Ti 1:4 and occupying themselves with myths and endless genealogies. These things promote controversies rather than God's ongoing purpose, which involves faith.

1Ti 1:5 The goal of this instruction is love that flows from a pure heart, from a clear conscience, and from a sincere faith.

1Ti 1:6 Some people have left these qualities behind and have turned to fruitless discussion.

So the law is good in this way.
1000 thank yous for pointing me to my new favorite verse.
