In Revelation 13:18 what did John really see;

We have been commonly been told the number of the beast being 666, but is this what John really saw ???

In the original Greek text we have John seeing the following symbolism for Chi Xi Stigma;

John in the previous verses 16 and 17 says where this mark is placed and that it is his name, and we have for the placing of his mark the Greek words Charagma and Dexios.

Charagma:
Original Word: χάραγμα, ατος, τό
a. a stamp, an imprinted mark: of the mark stamped on the forehead or the right hand as the badge of the followers of Antichrist,Revelation 13:16;Revelation 14:9, 11; Revelation 15:2 Rec.; (πυρός, the mark branded upon horses, Anacreon () 26 (55), 2).
b. thing carved, sculpture, graven work: of idolatrous images, Acts 17:29. (In various other senses in Greek writings from Sophocles down.)

Dexios:
Original Word: δεξιός, ά, όν
Definition
the right hand or side

Now we have the original meanings for these words that show it can be a mark on the forehead and/or the right hand or arm. Now lets look at Chi Xi Stigma side by side with the headbands and armbands they where, and see if you see the similarities;

This is worn by those who follow the Islamic system on their heads and right arms...........

Yeah but that middle symbol is in the wrong orientation and the third symbol has a dot.
So it can't be that.

Because there will still be those who oppose the man of sin all the way up to the Lord's return, else wise there would be nobody for the man of sin to persecute and kill as he does up to the Lords return. So I know some take that as the whole world but that is not what is really being said, as it is more referring to all the Muslims will follow suit. Here are some of the countries that have Muslim to major Muslim populations in them.
Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Saudi Arabia ( I believe do to the bible to be Mystery Babylon ), Syria....And the bible also says these places will be with them; Egypt, Greece, Ethiopia, and Sudan. Count them up and you have 11 and in Revelation 17:16 it says the man of sin with 10 followers destroy Babylon.
All 10 of those places I listed do not like Saudi Arabia for dealing their oil (wine) with the western world.
