The Volume of the Book(Scripture) is written about Christ.

Read Genesis then Gospel of John then Acts - PRAY for understanding Before During and After as you read.
No scripture says that Christ is the seventh day. The Son of God is not a day.

Yes, of course, I agree with you.
You say, yourself, that we want to be like Jesus. That means to Love God. How do we Love God? Follow his commands (Law).
We are no longer under the penalty of Death (spiritual) from our sin. This is what Jesus did for us.
He did not free us from following God's Law.
He freed us to follow God's Law without the fear of what our mistakes would otherwise cost (Death).
There is no other salvation from the penalty of sin except through Jesus Christ.
I was responding to one of your posts and I think we seem to on the same page.

i know

the water did not save Noah and his family = the ARK(Christ) that kept them from the waters saved them.

Noah was saved 120 Years BEFORE his 'symbolic' water baptism.

water baptism and saturday observance cannot save anyone = only Faith and Obedience to the Call of God

We rejoice in being baptized because Christ said to do it as a symbolic outward act that we are responding to the Call of God in Christ which is our Salvation and having our sins washed away in His Death and Blood poured out for us on the Cross.

Baptized unto Moses is a baptism of BLOOD = RED Sea and animal BLOOD sacrifices = Hebrews ch9
PEACE my Brother
Water baptism is for a literal resurrection.

Romans 6:4,5
4We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life.
5For if we have been united with Him like this in His death, we will certainly also be united with Him in His resurrection.

"Like this in His death" = Water baptism
"United with Him in His resurrection" = Literal resurrection

You are half correct.
Which means you are half way there.

There is no verse that says God is THREE.
But we can SEE the THREE in Genesis and Gospel and Acts

FACT = without THREE you cannot SEE - remove any ONE and you have no Gospel and no Salvation

"Like this" means 'resemblance' = symbolic not literal

FYI - we can all read and SEE what the Apostle Paul is saying.

We can all read and SEE what you are attempting to do by adding to the Word of God = this is not from God to do this.

"Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life." Romans 6:3-4

I never witnessed, in the Gospel or in my life, anyone being water baptized and then they literally died so that they can be resurrected.
Have you?

To be water baptized is to follow in His footsteps, OUTWARDLY, which any non saved person can do thru religion.

Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’
The wind blows where it wishes. You hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

Water baptism isn’t about flesh and religion as John 1 & 3 say.

John 1:12,13
12But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God— 13children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of man, but born of God.

John 3:5-7
5Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit. 7Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’

Do you see the being born of water is not a flesh birth because John 1:12,13 says that a flesh birth is useless to be born again? John 3 is about being born again through water baptism and Spirit.

-Water for the salvation of the glorified resurrected body.
-Spirit for the salvation of the soul.

i SEE that no one is Born-Again by water baptism = "nor of the desire or will of man"

i SEE that "flesh is flesh" = water baptism is outward and touches the flesh = it can never wash away sins from within a mans heart/soul

i SEE that "Sprirt is Spirit" = applies to the inward man where True Salvation takes Place by the unseen Sacraments of Grace & Faith

Why waste your time and effort to prove something that is never taught as the Vehicle of Salvation?

If w/b was REAL/Necessary to the FATHER, HE would of shown it in the lives of Abraham Isaac & Jacob.

i SEE why water baptism was made available to the New Born/Born-Again

Our physical bodies contain a soul a spirit so your line of thinking that water baptism is unspiritual, fleshly, because it touches the physical body doesn’t really hold water. (No pun intended).

1 Thessalonians 5:23
23And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As you can see, the soul and spirit touch the body too.

So back to John 1 & 3. Water baptism is spiritual and live birth from humans is fleshly and unspiritual. Do you see that now?

You said: "live birth from humans is fleshly" = CORRECT = "born by water" is the flesh just as the LORD said to Nicodemus.

Born-Again can only be accomplished by the SPIRIT = no fleshly water applied/necessary = ONLY WIND/SPIRIT

Jesus said: (v6) "Flesh is born of flesh, but spirit is born of the Spirit." = SEE = NO water mixed with the SPIRIT

Do not be amazed that I said, ‘You must be born again.’

SEE = No water mixed with the SPIRIT = only the WIND is used by the LORD to denote the Second Birth.

No that’s false. I’m afraid you’re very confused at this point as you seem to have it completely backwards. You were probably taught this by the modern church.

“Born of water and spirit” is spiritual and it’s water baptism and God’s Holy Spirit.

Born of flesh is not spiritual.

This is what Jesus was trying to tell Nicodemus. You’re making the same error Nicodemus did but Nicodemus learned his error quickly. If you won’t hear Jesus you won’t hear me.

ABSOLUTELY NOT and you are attaching the law of Moses unto Christ - this is error and going backwards.

By the Word of GOD you are opposing the Apostle Paul and the Finished Work of Christ's Sufferings on the Cross.

"When you were dead in your trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your sinful nature, God made you alive with Christ.
He forgave us all our trespasses, having canceled the debt ascribed to us in the decrees that stood against us.
He took it away, nailing it to the cross!
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a feast, a New Moon, or a Sabbath."
Colossians 2:13-16

Not once is the saturday sabbath requirement of the OLD Dead law repeated by CHRIST or the Apostles.

The law of GOD which was ministered in Genesis is the LORD Jesus Christ = HE is the LAW of GOD.

You either take the Blessed Yoke of Christ upon yourself and REST in HIM or you yoke yourself to the law which you cannot possibly keep in obedience to the FATHER.

All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father.
Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

My Brother JeffA, right now you do not understand the FULNESS of what the LORD said here - pray for understanding.

Peace and REST
when you lay your burden
upon HIM who did the Father's BEST
no man can further the finished work
that caused the SON to bear it's Girth
laid upon HIM was ALL our sin
that is how much HE is WORTH
old law is dead and gone
still around for those who have not been found
Now I can see where your confusion arises from.

You aren't aware of the differences between the law of God and what is often referred to as the law of Moses. Even though the law of Moses was given by God to Moses.

“And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform even ten commandments, and he wrote them upon two tables of stone. And the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statues and judgments, that ye might do them in the land wither ye go over to posses it” Deuteronomy 4:13-14

The law of Moses was temporary and only in effect until the arrival of Jesus.

Moses' law was the temporary, ceremonial law of the Old Testament. It regulated the priesthood, sacrifices, rituals, meat and drink offerings, etc., all of which foreshadowed the cross. This law was added "till the seed should come," and that seed was Christ (Galatians 3:16, 19).
https://www.preparingforeternity.com/mosevs10.htm

The ceremonial law included sabbaths . However, those sabbaths were a reference to annual feasts and holidays. Read Leviticus 23.

After Jesus sacrifice on the cross those sabbaths, and the ceremonial laws of Moses, were nailed to the cross. Read Colossians 2.

The Sabbath God made for us is not done away with. Jesus is our Sabbath rest. This doesn't mean we are wrong to honor and recognize the day God made for we who are in Christ to find a day of rest from the world on a day God blessed for us to enjoy.

i SEE where you do not understand the Finished Work of GOD wherby HE Rested

the Sabbath REST of GOD is CHRIST = not a day of the week
You certainly can continue in gathering for fellowship with the Body of Christ any day of the week = no specific day has been assigned by the LORD under the New Covenant.

You and others are attempting to combine the law of Moses/saturday sabbath, with the law of God which is CHRIST.

It will never please God that way - but it will make religious people feel very pious about themselves.

A.) Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;
and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. = no saturday sabbath required

B.) In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. = no saturday sabbath required

C.) So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility = no saturday sabbath required

The LORD is pleased whenever and wherever we gather in His Name to worship and glorify God -
saturday has no bearing on Holiness under the New Covenant

Colossians 2:16, "Therefore, no one is to act as your judge in regard to food and drink, or in respect to a festival or a new moon, or a Sabbath day."

When you referenced that passage as one averse to God's Sabbath you showed your cards.
God has exposed it.

You are goading Christians here by assuming the position of one averse to scripture. The Contrarian. In every thread , every topic.

You are wrong David.

Is there anything you accept in scripture .........that is not been corrupted......... from God's meaning and intent?

Baptism is Required

Peter 3: 21.... whereunto even baptism doth also now save us...

John 3:5 .......Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 2;38-....Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Acts 22;16... And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Galations 3:26...... For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

KJV Marrk 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

KJV Matthew 3:14... But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? 15. Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now, for thus it becometh us to fulfil all rightesousness. Then He suffered Him.

KJV Matthew 28:19..... Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:.

Acts 8:12-18: But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.

Acts 19:4 And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.”

John 3; 22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

Quote from Billy Graham that is note worthy;
....Also, to clarify I did not say remission of sin takes place at repentance. Scripture makes it clear that it occurs upon obedience to water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus. Each is a step of faith, along with receiving the Holy Ghost, in the process of one's spiritual rebirth

.."Paul explains the doctrinal significance of what occurs when one is baptized. His explanation is found in his letter to those who had already been obedient to the command.

Paul tells the Roman Christians what actually occurred when they were/are baptized; they were baptized into His death. Being buried with Jesus into His death resulted in their sin being destroyed.

Even though Paul explains this concept, the NEW AGE RELIGION TEACHING is......... that water baptism is nothing other than a mere public display.......... And that is so far removed from the truth.

.......If you were baptized for some reason other than for forgiveness of sins in order to be saved then you do not have salvation and you are still lost. Who are you going to follow: God or man? As our Lord warns us in Matthew 15:14, "And if the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a ditch." Don't allow someone, who has added to and taken away from God's word, to lead you. Open your eyes and read God's word for yourself. Those who have added to and taken away from God's word will be lost. If you continue to follow them, then you too will be lost.

Keep in mind that Satan knows if he can continue to perpetuate that lie ...... he can keep people from entering the kingdom of God. Thus He has proven scripture which says ...in the end times there will be ...great delusions.....they are here.

Conclusion....teaching that baptism is not necessary is violation of Rev. 22;19.... And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Also two other books of the Bible).

My parents told me I was baptized (sprinkled) in the Presbyterian Church as an infant. I don't remember it. I became a Christian as a kid, but did not get very serious about it until my mid 20s. I'm 69 now. The only water baptisim I've had is one I do not remember, and I have no plans to get baptized again.

The ONE baptism (Eph 4:5) that matters is baptism in the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12:13). That's the baptism that makes a person a Christian, born again of the Holy Spirit, which is the guarantee of salvation (Eph 1:13-14).

Quote from Billy Graham that is note worthy;
....Also, to clarify I did not say remission of sin takes place at repentance.

Who are you going to follow: God or man? isolated verses like 1 Peter 3:21 is your mainstay error

So let's SEE what the Apostle Peter said about water baptism:
#1) For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.
not water baptism

2#) He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit, = not water baptism
in whom He also went and preached to the spirits in prison who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built.

#3.) In the ark a few people, only eight souls, were saved through water. And this water symbolizes the baptism that now saves you alsonot the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers subject to Him.

Apostle Peter says the ARK saved Noah and that water baptism is SYMBOLIC of what actually saves us = "pledge of a clear conscience toward God"
AND what is the pledge??? = that Christ died for our sins and on the 3rd day HE Rose from the dead.
Through HIS Suffering & Resurrection and being Seated at the Right Hand of God we have forgiveness of sins.

not water baptism
Per 1 Peter 3:21, water baptism saves by the resurrection of Christ. Like Romans 6:4,5 says, it’s water baptism that is necessary to be in the first resurrection, but not required for the salvation of the soul. That’s why there are verses that say both water and/or faith saves.

Most people tend to either completely reject water baptism like you do, clearly an anti-Biblical error, or they believe water baptism is necessary to receive salvation of the soul which is another error, but few seem to realize that water baptism is exclusively for being resurrected. This information seems to have been lost to time.
