Do you see how the central focus surrounds remission of sins not imputing other peoples sins against them ? But instead learning Gods mercy that saved us me extending that same mercy to others ?

Means to “ change your mind “ and that’s what the gospel does it changes our minds from sinners to children of God but until we get to a mature place and begin to see the fruits of repentance we have to walk by faith s upright according to what Jesus said mercy for the merciful forgiveness for the forgiving no condemnation for those who do not condemn
repentance is a gift when We acknowledge the truth of the gospel
“In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.”

I’m saying is we start just following Jesus and the gospel sin is going to die over time so that it doesn’t have the same appeal it used to have and we’re going to become strong against temptations that may come being able to stand in upright manner
it takes time and commitment to hear and believe the truth of the gospel forst before we can actually obey it we have to believe it’s true
faith has to be foret and the actions have to come from that faith focusing on sin without preaching repentance and remission of sins isn’t the full gospel it says very little about sin just to “repent “ and “you can’t keep sinning “
