When Jesus ascended in AD 33 he went up to his Father's throne -
The Old Covenant still needed to work itself out.
Jesus's Enemies, the apostate Jews, needed to be put under his feet.

Hebrews 1:13 “Sit at my right hand
until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet”

When the Old Covenant was done and dusted, AD 73, some say AD 70, but anyhow....

then Jesus took the throne of David.

Revelation 3:9

I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but are lying—I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you.

Earthly Jerasulem is Hagar....the throne isn't found in her or by her slave children.

He has His plans and He certainly doesn't need permission to RULE ANYTHING...
everything has already been written in heaven before it was written on this earth,
each and all of His prophecies will eventually come to pass, whether we understand
them or not,,,it's called FAITH...in Him and eventually Faith in our Love and Trust
in all of His Words...

Some people think that Jesus sits on a throne next the Father, but this is not true.

The only person we will see in heaven is Jesus, who is a visible manifestation of God,and God's visible relationship to the saints for all eternity.

There is only one throne in heaven, and one who sits on that throne, not two thrones.

the healing of the nations.
Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
Rev 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

That one throne is the throne of both God and the Lamb,God in the glorified body of the man Christ Jesus,as God shines out of that glorified body, and lights the New Jerusalem.

In the Old Testament the Father said He would reveal a new name to the Jews and talk with them, and Jesus said He came in His Father's name, and the Son inherited the name Jesus from the Father, and the Holy Spirit comes in the name of Jesus.

Jesus is God manifest in the flesh, which Jesus told the Phillip,if you have seen Me,then you have seen the Father, and the words I speak are not of Myself, but the Father that dwells in Me,He does the works.

Jesus is the only person we will see in heaven, and the visible relationship of the Father to the saints for all eternity.

God's right hand represents power, wisdom, and salvation, which he brought the Jews out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and His right hand became glorious in power, and dashed in pieces the enemy.

The Bible states He saved them by His right hand.

Jesus is the power, wisdom, and salvation of God.

The Bible says there is one God,and one mediator between God and men,the man Christ Jesus,to wit that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, which He reconciled the world unto Himself in the person of Jesus Christ,God and man,in harmony.

Jesus said all power is given to Him in heaven and earth.

Since the man Christ Jesus is our Savior,He exercise the throne of power, for the sake of the saints.

King David said, the LORD said unto My Lord, sit at My right hand until your enemies are conquered, and the Son must reign until His enemies are conquered, the last one being death, and then the Son shall submit to God,even the Father, that God may be all in all.

The Son sitting at the right hand of God is only a temporary position, until all His enemies are conquered, and when they are conquered, then the Son shall stop being at the right hand of God,that God may be all in all.

Since the man Christ Jesus is our Savior,God exalted Him to exercise the throne of power, which is being at His right hand, for the sake of the saints, and when His enemies are conquered, and He has delivered up the kingdom to the Father, there is no need for the Son to exercise the throne of power anymore, and He shall cease being at the right hand, that God may be all in all.

But of course Jesus is God manifest in the flesh,so God is in charge and ruling through the man Christ Jesus for the sake of the saints.

There is only on throne in heaven, and one who sits on that throne, who is God in the glorified body of the man Christ Jesus, and if you have seen Jesus then you have seen the Father, and the words Jesus spoke were not His own,but the words of the Father, for it the Father that dwells in Him,He does the works, and the Father told the Jews that He would reveal a new name to them in Isaiah 52:5-6,for My people shall know My name, they shall know in that day that I am He that does speak, behold it is I,and in the Old Testament God talked to the Jews by the prophets, but in these last days talks to us by the Son,who inherited the name Jesus from the Father, which Jesus said I am come in My Father's name.

The Son being at the right hand of God is only a temporary position until His enemies are conquered, then the Son shall cease being at the right hand of God,and submit to the Father, that God may be all in all.

The only person we will see in heaven is Jesus, who is God's visible relationship to the saints forever, and the Holy Spirit is God's invisible relationship to the saints forever.

The enemies conquered have nothing to do with the apostate Jews, but all people that are disobedient, along with conquering death, hell, and the grave, the last enemy being death.

It is spiritual Israel now for when we are saved we become a Jew inward, and Jesus will rule in the millennial reign on the throne of David out of Jerusalem.

Exalt Jesus for who He is,and stop putting Him on a throne next to the Father, for He is the only one on the throne in heaven.

1Ti 6:14 That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
1Ti 6:15 Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
1Ti 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

We can never see Jesus as God,and He is greater than that visible manifestation He showed the Jews, and greater than the glorified body visible appearance of Him,for no person can see Jesus, and will never see Jesus as God,but we can see a visible manifestation of Him.

3and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while. - Rev 20

I suspect that even the release has been initiated.
Rev 20:4-6, "And I saw thrones – and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them – and the lives of those who had been beheaded because of the witness they bore to יהושע and because of the Word of Ylohim, and who did not worship the beast, nor his image, and did not receive his mark upon their foreheads or upon their hands. And they lived and reigned with Messiah for a thousand years and the rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended) – this is the first resurrection. Blessed and set-apart is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death possesses no authority over these, but they shall be priests of Ylohim and of Messiah, and shall reign with Him a thousand years."

If that already happened when was the 1,000 year reign?

and when did this (below) happen?

None of this has yet happened, thus the 1,000 year reign is future...

Malachi/Malakyah 4:1-4, “For look, the day shall come, burning like a furnace, and all the proud, and every wrongdoer shall be stubble. And the day that shall come shall burn them up,” said יהוה of hosts, “which leaves to them neither root nor branch. 2 “But to you who fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall. 3 “And you shall trample the wrongdoers, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” said יהוה of hosts. 4 “Remember the Torah of Mosheh, My servant, which I commanded him in Ḥorĕḇ for all Yisra’ĕl – laws and right-rulings."

Isaiah 24:1-6, "See,
יהוה is making the earth empty and making it waste, and shall overturn its surface, and shall scatter abroad its inhabitants. 2 And it shall be – as with the people so with the priest, as with the servant so with his master, as with the female servant so with her mistress, as with the buyer so with the seller, as with the lender so with the borrower, as with the creditor so with the debtor; 3 the earth is completely emptied and utterly plundered, for יהוה has spoken this word. 4 The earth shall mourn and wither, the world shall languish and wither, the haughty people of the earth shall languish. 5 For the earth has been defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the Torot, changed the law, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore a curse shall consume the earth, and those who dwell in it be punished. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth shall be burned, and few men shall be left.

Matt 24:21-2, "For then will be great tribulation, such as has not come to pass since the beginning ofthe world to this time--no, nor ever will be. And unless those days were shortened, there would no flesh be saved; but for the elect's sake, those days will be shortened."

Isayah 51:6, “Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath, for the heavens shall vanish like smoke, and the earth wear out like a garment, and those who dwell in it die as gnats. But My deliverance is forever, and My righteousness is not broken."

Revelation 21:1-2, "And
I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no more sea. And I, Yahanan, saw the holy city, YHWH Shammah, coming down from YHWH out of heaven, prepared as brides adorned for their husbands. And I heard a great voice out of heaven, saying: Behold, the tabernacle of YHWH is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His people, and YHWH Himself will be with them, and be their Father.

Cuz Jesus doesn't need to be voted into His Kingship.
Jesus does not Lord over anyone, if he did we would not have choice.

Is the destruction of the temple the hand of God or the hand of man?

Love u potter, but no clue what you are saying...

All I know is Jesus is my Lord and for me that is enough.

If I had a choice, I have since given it to Him....

The destruction of both the temple (where priest sacrificed animals) and Jesus earthly body were both destroyed by the will of God....Jesus says that they had no power to put Him on the cross except for what God gave them....He could call down all the angelic army to kill all enemies but He died on the cross to pay for our sins,

Fellowship. Truthfully just here cuz I love Zone. Occasionally toss out scriptures and questions and statements that hopefully have people think and pray.

Don't really care to "prove" anything to you or others.

If you lack understanding, ask God and He will provide it. he sends His Holy Spirit and through prayer and study with humble hearts we all learn daily more of His truth.

If you get nothing from this thread why hang around? Entertainment?

Romans 8
28And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. 29For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those He predestined He also called, those He called He also justified, those He justified He also glorified.…

So what

Jeremiah 33: 17 For thus saith the Lord; David shall never want a man to sit upon the throne of the house of Israel
Now this scripture is a perfect example of why it's so necessary to study. And we are admonished to do so in Timothy.

want:

[h=1]H3772[/h]
כָּרַת
kârath
kaw-rath'
A primitive root; to cut (off, down or asunder); by implication to destroy or consume; specifically to covenant (that is, make an alliance or bargain, originally by cutting flesh and passing between the pieces): - be chewed, be con- [feder-] ate, covenant, cut (down, off), destroy, fail, feller, be freed, hew (down), make a league ([covenant]), X lose, perish, X utterly, X want.

so read it now in context with this meaning of the English word "want" given in Hebrew.

Well, it is the Davidic Covenant that Jeremiah is prophesying: 2 Samuel 7

Moreover the Lord declares to you that the Lord will make you a house. 12 When your days are fulfilled and you lie down with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring after you, who shall come forth from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 I will be a father to him, and he shall be a son to me. When he commits iniquity, I will punish him with a rod such as mortals use, with blows inflicted by human beings. 15 But I will not take my steadfast love from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you.16 Your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before me; your throne shall be established forever. 17 In accordance with all these words and with all this vision, Nathan spoke to David.

Spurgeon always believed the city on seven hills is modern Rome. Can't say I blame him, Rome is full of abominations, is it not?
Not having been to Rome I cant confirm how many abominations there might be there. Any city has probably got more or less number of them if you care to look. London has its share. Some of its architecture is pretty well abominable!!

Hello Tanakh/Stephen63,

Just FYI, the abomination referred to in Dan.9:27 and Matt.24:15, is specifically to be set up in the holy place within the temple. I strongly believe that the image of the beast, which the false prophet has the inhabitants of the earth make as recorded in Rev.13, will be that abomination recorded in Daniel and Matthew.

Ezekiel 5
Judgment against Jerusalem
…8therefore, thus says the Lord GOD, 'Behold, I, even I, am against you, and I will execute judgments among you in the sight of the nations. 9And because of all your abominations, I will do among you what I have not done, and the like of which I will never do again. 10Therefore, fathers will eat their sons among you, and sons will eat their fathers; for I will execute judgments on you and scatter all your remnant to every wind.…

Flavius Josephus (37-100)

Throughout the city people were dying of hunger in large numbers, and enduring unspeakable sufferings. In every house the merest hint of food sparked violence, and close relatives fell to blows, snatching from one another the pitiful supports of life. No respect was paid even to the dying; the ruffians [anti-Roman zealots] searched them, in case they were concealing food somewhere in their clothes, or just pretending to be near death. Gaping with hunger, like mad dogs, lawless gangs went staggering and reeling through the streets, battering upon the doors like drunkards, and so bewildered that they broke into the same house two or three times in an hour. Need drove the starving to gnaw at anything. Refuse which even animals would reject was collected and turned into food. In the end they were eating belts and shoes, and the leather stripped off their shields. Tufts of withered grass were devoured, and sold in little bundles for four drachmas.

But why dwell on the commonplace rubbish which the starving were driven to feed upon, giver that what I have to recount is an act unparalleled in the history of either the Greeks or the barbarians, and as horrible to relate as it is incredible to hear? For my part I should gladly have omitted this tragedy, lest I should be suspected of monstrous fabrication. But there were many witnesses of it among my contemporaries; and besides, I should do poor service to my country if I were to suppress the agonies she went through.......

The Siege of Jerusalem, AD 70, by Flavius Josephus
