Thank The Lord he doesn't see you as you see yourself? Your sin before me you quoted? If you were indeed cleansed by Jesus,s portion. Of the spirit he allocated to you you wouldn't see this? As far as the east is from the west has god removed our iniquity and sins, he sees us as his now sure not completed to his standard yet? Bt he bears with us as we have committed to the walk with him amen god does not see us as we see us ? This must be known by you, lest you try in vain to please him of your own volition my friend , relax , stop, be still and know that I am god , there is none like me? Psalm 46 v10 ? Cry if you have too bt let Jesus take all the strain you currently endure you simply cnt read enuf recite enuf , recall enuf, nor work enuf to please god? Jesus did it for you now relax give thanks and accept the simplicity in Christ? A1000books on the law will profit nothing amen
I'm sorry Welsh, but I don't know who you're talking to.

Yep. Our righteousness is only because of His life, death and resurrection. Any works we do need to through His spirit.
I said it was the last question, sorry....

Then, what problem are people having with what you are saying?

I suppose that I make a point of reading through the Law and follow it in order to know the right way to live. I suppose that people are assuming I'm doing it on my own, without relying on the Spirit to help me do it.

Any person can physically follow the Law if they want, but unless it's the Spirit leading you do it, you miss out on the real purpose behind it, to bring you back to God on a moment by moment basis and to reveal the Messiah in every command.

By God's grace, He has shown me a spiritual application in every command in the Law.

Jesus cleaned up the law ,from the Phony balone that the Pharisees make of the Law. Jesus made the heart of the law, love and a good consicience to keep to keeping the law. Jesus didn't destroyed one part of the law, He gave the law its full force, to convict and to guide us in our holy walk. we must keep the love of the law to be save. no lawless person has eternal life. Hoffco
We must keep the love of the law?
Which commandments am I breaking?
When I love the Lord God(Jesus), with all of my heart, mind, and soul.
And I love my neighbor as myself?
Even the greatest missionaries and apostles were aware of their own sin nature.
Please......read Romans. (including chapter 7)

Jess, and only Jesus can set us free from us bondage to sinning. If one is still"living ing sin and having no assurance of salvation, it is because ,Jesus has not saved them yet. "whoever commits sin is a slave of sin" "if the Son makes yu free, you shalbe free indeed." Jh,8:32-36 " But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, youhave your fruit to holiness. and the end, everlasting life" Rom.6:22 Hofco

If you're referring to me, I don't think you understand what I've been saying all this time. I know where my salvation lies. And I know the proper relationship between that and my following the Law.

I love the proverb which tells us not to go along with evildoers, seeing that their end is destruction. I love it even more when the Spirit brings that to my remembrance when I am being enticed.

Every word from God's mouth is so lovely to the soul who hearkens to it.

I would not have known jealousy is a sin unless I was told by the Great Lawgiver.

But, like you have said, none of that matters if I am doing it through my flesh. What a wonderful thing it is for the soul whose Guide through this life is God Himself.

Sorry, Rick , BUT you just confessed you living in sin and no fellowship with God and were wondering how this UNCONDITIONAL LOVE worked. DID you not say that? I am telling you, sal. is not Unconditional and what you must do to be truly saved. Now you tell me You are saved even thought you are living in habitual sin?Hoffco

Matt and Cfultz3 and I are telling the same thing. If one is not "Born of the Spirit" they will find all kinds of excuses why they are saved even thought they don;t feel God working in their soul and making them a holy person, well pleasing to God. AND thisphoy "faith only"preaching of men like Charles sStanley and Chuck Swindow etc. is sending sinners to Hell"trusting in Jesus as their "
personal savior". It is not true. You must b Born of God and have a new holy nature implanted in your soul and trusting in Jesus and walking the holy walk to be saved. Hoffco

Ok, I am corrected, Rick said ,He "is sold unto sin" anf Mat said "i am trying to figure out how this uncondional love works" acc. to the first post on this page. SORRY, it is hard to keep it straight. The end is still the same . the combintion of the two statements. is because of the false sal. teach that each of them have accepted. "faith only" No holiness of life needed to be saved. this is a damnablehersy today. Love to all Hoffco

My friend,

The reason people are talking about the Law is because the thread is about the Law. That is why it seems people are continuously speaking about the Law.

I speak for myself when I say that I am not under the Law either for my righteousness or justification, seeing I have both through the blood of our Lord, the Christ. But, neither can I deny the spiritual implications of the Law which pertains to the Christian being led by God's Spirit.

"Knowing a men is justified by works and not by FAITH ONLY" James2:24 "He,Jesus, became the author of sal. to those who OBEY HIM" Heb.5:9 I am sved by Gracethru faith unto good works. Eph.2:1-10 How do you dare say,, " I am saved by grace alone" ? that is heresy!Hoffco

Matthew 5:19

" Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoeverkeeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
You've already said that the commandment of circumcision isn't binding on believers. If it's not binding, that means it's not in force. I guess you'll have to add Paul to your list of least in the kingdom of heaven because he taught that the law of circumcision is nothing, i.e. null and void.

In regards to it being a requirement for salvation, you're right, He did say that it was nothing. I agree with Him.
