Paul was accused falsely by those that were under the law. This is what He said to them.
"But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:" Acts 24:14
And, indeed, as a Pharisee he did.
And that was after his conversion.
But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question. Acts 23:6

Paul had a problem with the same thing. He was accused falsely by those that were under the law. This is what He said to them.
Truth. But I would ask: Why one would thing that someone acusing the other? What if it is not an accusation but warning - just see the facts :) Are the facts sound familiar?

I'm sure warnings are good without assumptions of another's faith before judging the situation. Too many times in CC others jump to conclusions. Most of those conclusions are assumptions of predetermined thoughts that come from the accuser. David prayed that God would keep him from presumptuous sins. Then he would be upright.

You done flagged that one. . .
I really know a couple of these cults, and what is so special about, especially the Adventists, is how they seem to know they're up to something so ugly it can't be revealed. They have a "candle under a bushel" denomination, and, somehow, can't make the connection there's something wrong there. It defies explanation. "We're deceivers, and here's the truth."

In the NT we are upright by grace through faith in Christ.

That's what all the Sunday devils say. (Seriously, this is how they talk behind the backs of other denominations. Try bringing a roast beef platter to an Adventist luncheon, if you want to convince these people you're Satan. Pass the holy granola...)

We are to follow laws that were spoken about once the Christian Congregation was established. For instance their was a debate about circumcision in Acts 15. Later in the chapter they received the answer from the apostles on the matter. This answer included a couple things from the law that they were still to follow. (Acts 15:28, 29) . . .For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to you except these necessary things: 29 to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from what is strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you carefully keep yourselves from these things, you will prosper. Good health to you!”
If we put God first and love our neighbors as ourselves than we would be fulfilling the 10 commandments and many other laws.
(Galatians 5:14) . . .For the entire Law has been fulfilled in one commandment, namely: “You must love your neighbor as yourself.. . .
Any law to do with sacrifices or uncleanness are done away with, because Jesus' blood washes us clean. All laws about dietary restrictions, and sanitary, health restrictions are all also done away with. Basically we need to pay attention to our conduct morally and spiritually.

I know. It just tears at the heart strings, to where you have to wonder if you need that unmentionable faith and a veggie burger. It's nice to see the all things to all people in action.

If you're out in the woods camping in a tent, you still want to have a shovel handy so you can dig a hole. It's a law still valid for me. LOL Water for washing afterwards comes in handy also. With a cloth.

I completely understand. I would not pretend I know and would not recommend myself like person who knows the scriptures. Bulgarian official Christian Church -Under Greece one, does not have schools here. My Country has the Bible since Saint Poul has been on that land. Bulgarian are among first nation who have received it and the first translation has been done in 855. That faith make us survived during the 500 years of yoke of Turkey - Islam. I have and will have only one High Priest and Teacher and that is My God Who save me giving His Son Jesus Christ sacrificed. I believe the God is the perfect teacher of all of us.
God bless you all!

Hey Elin this post has nothing to do about this thread . I just wanted to share something deep about Matthew 21:38 if you have not noticed it already. Notice in the scripture that the husbandman mentioned in the parable actually knew that it was the owner's son. I think there is something much deeper going on in the world. I think when they say in the parable come let us kill him and siege his inheritance, It was actually part of the spiritual war we are in and not just people mistakenly not believing that Jesus was God's Son. Although some did make that mistake as pointed out to us in scripture.

Joh 8:12

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Mat 5:17 "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I didn't come to destroy them, but to fulfill them,
Mat 5:18 because I tell you with certainty that until heaven and earth disappear, not one letter or one stroke of a letter will disappear from the Law until everything has been accomplished.

1Jn 2:2 It is he who is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world's.
1Jn 2:3 This is how we can be sure that we have come to know him: if we continually keep his commandments.
1Jn 2:4 The person who says, "I have come to know him," but does not continually keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth has no place in that person.

1Jn 2:5 But whoever continually keeps his commandments is the kind of person in whom God's love has truly been perfected. This is how we can be sure that we are in union with God:
1Jn 2:6 The one who says that he abides in him must live the same way he himself lived.

Rev 14:12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and hold fast to their faithfulness in Jesus:

Reading the above, from God, Himself, will you continue to say we are not to be children of obedience according to the teaching and example of Jesus Christ. If so, you do not know Him. This is according to the Word, not an opinion.

Why did Paul withstand Peter to his face and not be as a jew to win him, or as one under the law to win him?

Answer: Because Peter called himself a Christian and was a teacher and should have well known better.
Thanks Grandpa of course! Paul loved everyone!
