Yes, I know many people on here are going to attack me for saying this.... But I don't believe in OSAS. Please keep an open mind about this. A verse that OSAS believers will never answer. Revelation 2:4-Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love(5)Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. How can you be saved without the light of God?
Local churches die frequently. I don't think there is any Church of Ephesus any more. This passage has nothing to do with believers being saved. It has to do with a local church. Good churches can start out with mostly all believers and over time end up with only professed Christians in them. Good churches can start out composed of regenerates who trust Jesus as SAvior, yet get inflitrated by unsaved professors who write of Christ as a "chance-giver," and deny that when He saves He saves and give eternal life. They may deny that "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. The local church may decline in this pattern:
1) members trust Christ as SAvior,
2) members are replaced with new members who sign doctrinal statements but don't trust the Savior (dead orthodoxy),
3) members are replaced with new Arminian unbelievers -- lampstand goes out! Gospel is denied.
4) Arminians are replaced with humanists who have sodomite marriages.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.

to whomever it may concern:

Repent of relegating the Lord Jesus to a chance-giver, and trust Him as SAvior now!

Jehovah redeemeth the soul of his servants;
And none of them that take refuge in him shall be condemned.
Ps 52
But as for me, I am like a green olive-tree in the house of God:
I trust in the lovingkindness of God for ever and ever.
I will give thee thanks for ever, because thou hast done it;
1 Thes 5 end:
"And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He Who calls you, Who will also do it.

2 Thes 2:16
Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.'
End of Rom 8:
And we know that to them that love God all things work together for good, even to them that are called according to his purpose. For whom
he foreknew,
he also foreordained to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren: and whom
he foreordained, them
he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom
he justified, them
he also glorified.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 3He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth; who is he that condemneth? It is Christ Jesus that died, yea rather, that was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Even as it is written,
For thy sake we are killed all the day long;
We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

< 1 Pet 1
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who by the power of God are guarded through faith unto a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

THE OVERCOMER
Revelation 3:5
The one who overcomes will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father… 1 John 5:4-5 For whatsoever is begotten of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. And who is he who overcomes the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God: and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first things are passed away. And he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write: for these words are faithful and true. And he said unto me, They are come to pass. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit these things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.

In II Thess. 3:3 “But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and guard you from the evil one.”

In II Tim. 1:12 he sounds a note of rejoicing: “For I know Him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that He is able to guard that which I have committed unto Him against that day.”
< 2 Tim 4:18
The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will save me unto his heavenly kingdom;

Rm 6:23b
the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.
John 10:28
I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

But BTW, the doctrine of eternal security does assert that every believer does endure to the end.

Give it up NewB.

I urge everyone who is opposing your own salvation by down-grading the Lord Jesus to a mere chance-giver, to repent of that sin, and actually trust Him as Savior.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins.
Your doctrine is foolish and based on speculation. There is not, and never has been, anything that says you must accept a gift, even a gift from God. Do you believe people will go to hell, or do you believe everyone goes to heaven?

God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentence....
The gift of life from Christ to us is for all, but many many people reject that gift, and many others will give it back. You better read Acts, chapter 8 and think long and hard about just that one example, of many. I know from personal experience of where I speak, and even if I hadn't been through what I have, the bible is clear on it.

OSAS is a doctrine of the devil. The word of God refutes it and if it isn't from God there isn't many choices of where else it came from, now is there?

Denial of Eternal Security is Satanic Heresy

Your doctrine is foolish and based on speculation.
No, Eternal security is based on the plain teaching of God's word. If you have considered the Lord Jesus a mere chance-giver, repent of that sin & trust Him as your only & sufficient Savior.

Thou shalt call His name Jesus,
For He shall save His People from their sins!

No ifs, ands, or buts!

If a true born again Christian commits murder, he will not lose his salvation. But he still will have to reap the consequences of his actions on this earth. He will to serve time in the Prison. The Christian will also lose his testimony, he will have to live with the fact that he took the life of another human being, and will have to give an account of his action at the Judgment Seat of Christ.

There is no sin that can cause the Christian to lose his salvation. A Christian can lose a lot of things. He can lose his health, testimony, his joy, his family, his marriage, his money, his reputation, his friends, his rewards and inheritance at the Judgment Seat of Christ and even his life! But he never loses his salvation. Once a man or woman is born again, they can never be or become un-born again. A Child no matter how bad he lives, never stops being a child. And once you are born into God's family, you can never fall out of that family. And while a Christian can lose his inheritance, he can never lose his sonship.

Therefore Once Saved Always Saved is a Bible Doctrine. Once you are saved, you are then sealed by the Holy Spirit of Promise (See Ephesians 1:13 and Ephesians 4:30).

There again, you take a passage about enduring to the end of the Tribulation under persecution where the salvation is the 2nd coming of Christ. The salvation there is from persecution during the Tribulation.

But BTW, the doctrine of eternal security does assert that every believer does endure to the end.

Give it up NewB.

This passage does not teach that a Christian can lose his salvation. It does teach though that a Christian can lose his life, and be taken home to Heaven early.

I see the OP has dropped out do the discussion. I agree with Phil that 14 is too young to be spouting doctrine. If she is 14!

I am sad for all those who think that they can lose their salvation. Because that means they are in control, not God!

God is the one who saves us! And he has promised he will never leave or forsake us!

"Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5

That is a good one ...are you a comedienne?

[SUP]17 [/SUP]If anyone [SUP][d][/SUP]does hurt to God’s temple or corrupts it [[SUP][e][/SUP]with false doctrines] or destroys it, God will [SUP][f][/SUP]do hurt to him and bring him to the corruption of death and destroy him. For the temple of God is holy (sacred to Him) and that [temple] you [[SUP][g][/SUP]the believing church and its individual believers] are.

[SUP]17 [/SUP]If anyone defiles and spoils God’s home, God will destroy him. For God’s home is holy and clean, and you are that home.

[SUP]17 [/SUP]If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.

So you are saying God will take that unclean person to heaven?...remove them to make the church clean and put him in heaven to soil heaven?

Angela, as much as I agree with you, and others here, you're wrong about this. God is not in control if we choose not to put Him in control. Our destiny is in our hands. Predestination is not a fact. To think that we have no choice is to say we have no freewill.

As long as we have breath, we have a voice in heaven or hell. Our choice. Only death ends that option, and it is an option.

Ecclesiastes 11:3 "[SUP] [/SUP]If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be."

a spirit filled person(the temple of God)

God shall destroy, thats the second death,

man can kill you the first death now.

where does it say be taken home to Heaven early?

my bible says at his return when where changed.

and where does it say we even go to heaven,

but be with Christ reigning with him for 1000 years

right here on plant earth over mortals.

You say foolish things in your effort to establish false doctrine. There is no chance involved, and for you to say so is nothing more than gibberish. I didn't say it, and neither did anyone else. If you are going to have sensible discourse, you have to start by making sense and stop making stuff up.

You tell me, was Simon saved in the 8th chapter of Acts? Of course he was. And if he didn't repent of his intentions, he would have gone to hell. That is plain scripture and you can't explain it away.

I believe that you are wearing that hat (in the avatar) because you are hiding the fact that you don't have much hair up there, assuming that is a real picture of you and not of your twin brother that you are also keeping as a secret from us. In that picture you don't look a day over 30, so you must have lost some hair when you were really young and foolish and had a problem with your nerves because you thought no one liked you. Am I close? lol
A burnt out headlight for an avatar? Looks like you have "a problem with your nerves" BradC.

Take notice that a man becomes bald because of the intense activity of his brains. Not because he was "young and foolish."

The apostle Paul wouldn't have won any "beauty contests." One second-century account described him as "short of stature, bald head, crooked legs, a large hooked nose with eyebrows that met in the middle." Would you call Paul "foolish"?

"And if a man's hair falls out from his forehead, he has baldness of the forehead; he is clean." - Leviticus 13:41 ESV

Maybe you should take some advice from the Bible and shave your head bald?

"Make yourselve"s bald and cut off your hair, for the children of your delight; make yourselves as bald as the eagle, for they shall go from you into exile." - Micah 1:16

Am I close? lol

Romans 16:17 ESV
I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them.

2 Peter 2:1-3 ESV
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

Galatians 1:8 ESV
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.

1 Timothy 4:1-2 ESV
Now the Spirit expressly says that in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared,

2 Timothy 4:1-22 ESV
I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

John 14:26 ESV
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

Jeremiah 5:30-31 ESV
An appalling and horrible thing has happened in the land: the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule at their direction; my people love to have it so, but what will you do when the end comes?

God can use anyone regardless of their age. 1 Timothy 4:12- Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
yes you can be stricken with his word from any age,

but also everyone has to respect there elders,

and the most the Father above all

John 14:2,3 "In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also."

Maybe you should familiarize yourself with the bible before you start talking about it.
