That's good you are feeling better. I too am in Australia and the flu has been going around.
My knee still has pain but I continue to believe God for his healing. Thanks for asking and glad you are feeling better.
Okay Ruby, I hope you get better soon. Do you live in Australia as well? Thanks Ruby, I pray for you everyday:)

This made me smile. The whole reason for emoticons was because emotional meaning is so difficult
to convey in pure sentences, and easily taken in a bad way. And we are talking religion, :)
I think working in an explosives factory might be easier.

My dad, when he was alive, would not talk faith because it stirred up so much emotion he could not
handle. Must have been hard for him to have an evangelistic son who talk faith all the time :)

I remember a comment by one member. "He is so nice, yet he believes .... "
The emotional language had already been set up, that this group are terrible, so cannot behave in this
way, and that group are fantastic, so behave in this way.

So many are brainwashed like this, and the emotional content sets them up for certain interactions.
I learnt from interacting with muslims of the radical sort, it was part of their armour. Did not expect this
from believers, but Praise the Lord, He provides us with education and the full armour of God.

We need to learn better and to interact more, so the Lords word can be preached and spoken clearly.
Our culture has moved on, and the aggression and antagonism more sophisticated, but equally the Lord
is able to answer this, Amen.

22 Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?'
Matt 7

Thinking about this verse there is a story of some pharisees using the name of Jesus

13 Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, "In the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out."
14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this.
15 One day the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and I know about Paul, but who are you?"
16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding.
Acts 10

Jesus is though addressing people who believed they were followers but are not.
I do know many groups who use spiritual gifts as the basis of authority not our walk in Christ.
So it is obvious that these people fall into this group.
Unfortunately Jesus cannot be addressing the pharisees. Jesus is addressing those who call Him Lord.
So put simply it is about followers of Jesus. The pharisees did not follow Jesus therefore cannot be
about them.
Hi yes you are correct about it not referring to the Jews, because the Jews actually hated Jesus. So this is referring to those who claim to "know" jesus. But they are actually workers of lawlessness, not living in accordance with the word of the God.

I guess i wasnt well when i answered this scripture and couldn't remember what one it was because I so sleep deprived.

I hope you are well. I dont get on here much anymore.

God blessxxx

The Jews cast demons out in Jesus name. But I couldn't find anywhere that said they prophesied in Jesus name.

I am always learning new things about the bible, so I may make mistakes here and there because I am only human. We all learn in life and there are many times I have made mistakes on certain things. But God reveals the truth to me some way. If I have made an error.

I guess i wasnt well when i answered this scripture and couldn't remember what one it was because I so sleep deprived.

Thank you for this response.
It is interesting how this verse in matt 7 is quoted by so many to say that other group will be
rejected, because ........

In reality Jesus is just saying I care about those who listen and act on my words.
As a testimony I know what He means. It is not like His words are just go into the
street and walk along this line, good person, you are my friend, evil person you did
not do what I said, I will torture you forever.

Following Jesus's words changes you, you are no longer the person before.
So Jesus welcomes this new creation into His Kingdom, while those who built their
sand castle, and it has fallen have nothing, not knowing why or how it happened just
that it has.

So grounded in this reality it has been foundational to my life. It is hard to understate
how eternal Jesus's words are. God bless you

I believe the Bible is clear enough on this issue.

"If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us" 2 Timothy 2:12 KJV

What part of this Verse do you not understand? I myself am 100 %ly sure that salvation loss is possible.

It's quite simple. Unbelievers deny Jesus, Thus He quotes, " I never Knew you' meaning there wasn't a relationship to begin with. You cannot lose something you never had.

[Jhn 10:28 NKJV] 28 "And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

Now who is powerful enough to remove themselves from the Hands of God?

.....Means; ....you were never righteous....therefore I never knew you as a righteous follower.

Actually to unloose from the hands of God is to convince the Father to fail in his commitment. Yet can anyone is able to unloose from him? Yea God is able to keep...

In 2 Tim 2:12, Paul says: For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

Phil. 1:6 says:Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Salvation is by grace through faith: not by works - Eph. 2:8-10

The major issue is not whether you can lose salvation or not lose salvation: the question is: Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God?

Believers are saved and go to heaven. Unbelievers are not saved and go to hell.

It is best to be careful in the use of rhetorical questions. I could change your rhetorical question to: Now who is powerful enough to put themselves into the hand of God? The expected answer is "no one, of course!" = Hence we have 5-point Calvinism!

Instead of adding a rhetorical question to the text of John 10:28, I would suggest we just look at what the verse(s) say:

John 10: 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.

The sheep are listening to Jesus' voice and are following Him and He is giving them eternal life and they will never perish, nor will anyone take them out of His hand.

My point? That those who truly believe (as you say - faith without works is dead) go to heaven. Those who do not believe go to hell.

That is a spin....it does not address the question in answer. I don't say it the Bible does..."faith without works is dead".

Yet “faith without works is dead" does not mean that faith is dead until it produces works (which is like saying that a tree is dead until it produces fruit) or that works are the source of life in faith for that we are saved by works. James is simply saying faith that is not accompanied by evidential works demonstrates that it’s dead.

If someone merely says-claims they have faith, but lack resulting evidential works, then they have an empty profession of faith/dead faith and not authentic faith. (James 2:14) We are saved through faith, not works. (Ephesians 2:8,9)
