You cant have new without ever having old
just a thought
The two go together like a Jig saw puzzle, when done and revealed to us by God we see the whole Love story to us

Which is why I prefer to list them as First Testament and New Testament..............suppose that still indicates one is "older" than the other............ ???
That is why I today call them the first and second Testaments seeing the two as whole or better yet as one
Just as Christ and Father are one yet two
That just hit me as I started writing this, smack dab in the face

My own understanding is the "Gate" promised to Abraham to be possessed by his descendants is our Lord, Yeshua.

Those who consider the Laws of Torah as the Old Testament, in my humble esteem, are more hung up on the law than what they accuse others of, for the promise to Abraham, being our Salvation, is the same witness from Abraham until Christ's transfiguration. Promise completed and fulfillment of Moses and the Prophets, amen.

I love all the Word, and I believe it, though complete understanding is not something I may claim. Just enough to be content with the Word.
As Paul said he was content with all things, whether good or bad, he did not look at outward appearance of things that bring fear, a message from Paul to us all

Amen, but let us never grow so content with the understanding we now have that we cease to continue growing and learning in and of His Holy Word!

God bless you my Brother in Christ!
I think not, I do not see us taking advantage of grace from God through Son Christ, and if one does I know and am convinced by Father that he will not stop chasing them in Love to them and Mercy to them
Father is amazing for I recently hooked up with a person that came to Christ and not seen them for about 12-14 years, and they were rebellious, and Father brought this person around, And I personally have been shown Father's Faithfulness, and this Faith to Father to trust Father as in Romans 14:4, today is shown to me.
I am so overjoyed in this and stand firmer that ever before
Trust (Faith) without doubt is the key to be what God wants one to be period

What old testament? Do you mean what the writers of the gospels, the writer of the Acts, Paul's, James' and Peter's letters referred to as scripture and scriptures?
They do go together like two peas in a pod, yes sir ye

Foreshadows and types follow the one making the shadow. If someone (Yeshua) is standing in front of the sun and they are casting a shadow, if you are coming to him, what are you going to enter first? His shadow. When you understand His shadow (feasts and observances) and you continue in it, where does it lead you? To His feet. That’s what the commandments are designed to do.
Thank you Sister awesome analogy

Lots of people have no idea what the word fulfilled means. To many that words means taken care of so it can all be thrown out, a meaning that has nothing to do with the actual meaning of the word yet they use that meaning to damage their faith in their Savior.
Thank you; to those that take it for granted and act as the Corinthians did, and Paul had to write them the letter to admonish the truth into not to use this being forgiven as an excuse to willfully sin

How much of Moses does one need to know to 'believe' Jesus?
Moses is written in our hearts, it's called our conscience.
Even pagans know down deep they are guilty and hence do self sacrifices.

It's the Gospel that we need to rehear over and over because it is something that is extra-nos (outside us).

The rich man disbelieved Moses and many disbelieve their conscience believing everything is ok.
Just let your conscience be your guide...

Jer 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

If one decides to build a building, how does one start?

Acknowledging that a building is needed........

clearing the way for the building to be built............

Laying the FOUNDATION...............

every foundation has cornerstones........

once the foundation is laid, and the cornerstones are in place........

one can begin to build............

So it is with God and His Works............all we have to do is identify the steps in Scriptures............

Do we not have a new heart given us, a heart of compassion, Father gave this to us, = born again, thanks to Christ's work for us. So god's heart is not deceitful that he gave to us, the new man, is this correct in building us up?

Maybe, Ask, God to reveal this all to us
The love he has for us, starting with the Mercy he gave to Adam and Eve, and clothed them, and putt hem out to let them learn what hard work is, and to show them their need for to trust God, as in for all here today, maybe?

Why learn the Old? to compliment the New. To learn truth from by Father and not reinvent the wheel. All is already invented for life and Godliness, which is given us by God the Father, through the Son, Christ.
I can't fathom any love any deeper, can anyone else

When the Apostles were teaching the nations of the time about Yeshua, Jesus, they read the Scriptures. The Scriptures were what we call the Old Testament. Understand, the Old Testament contains the writings about Yeshua, Jesus, and much more. Nothing is being reinvented, it is being explained so those who will receive the Salvation that is Yahweh will understand all.

Amen..........the First Testament is the FOUNDATION for the New Testament...............BOTH are necessary, BOTH ARE THE WORD OF GOD.
