1. Canada has no power in the world. No idea why do you speak about it. The same is true about New Zealand or Australia.

2. I was looking for some sources, I found two resolutions, but none was accepted "yesterday" so I would appreciate the link to the right resolution OP is talking about. Not any secondary pro-Israel source, but a UN webpage.

The Syrian Golan (8 November):
United Nations Official Document

Jerusalem (18 November)
United Nations Official Document

"Demands once more that Israel withdraw from all the occupied Syrian Golan to the line of 4 June 1967 in implementation of the relevant Security Council resolutions."
- yeah, the same thing over and over, UN demands, Israel ignores, it goes for decades so nothing was changed "yesterday"

"Reiterates its determination that any actions taken by Israel, the occupying Power, to impose its laws, jurisdiction and administration on the Holy City of Jerusalem are illegal..."
- again, nothing "new"

Summary:
Nothing as hot as is in the OP.
So either OP is talking about some other resolution (id of resolution, please) or it is full of useless hysteria as if some kind of doom should be cast upon USA because of what is known for decades
.
All kinds of weird things happen in the world.
Good or bad, left or right, mainstream or independent... we should make an effort to source our stories carefully.

Since this topic affects Israel,
I would recommend we look for news articles in the Israeli press... like the Jerusalem Post.

If a story is affecting Israel, and it is significant, we should be able to find articles in the Israeli press.

If we talk about the UN resolutions, our source should be the UN resolutions (all are online).

Any press is biased and cherry-pick only things that will make readers to click the article (to get more views - more money).

That works for me.

Let's go to the UN resolutions and form our own opinions.

Let's go straight to the UN resolutions and do our own research:

1. Please copy/paste each new UN resolution, in it's entirety, so we can read each of them in full.

2. Please post commentary, with documented links, from scholars of international law, each with different political leanings... so we can see all the various potential legal ramifications. Please do this for EACH new UN resolution.

We must go to scholars of international law for these interpretations... as "guessing" is meaningless.
We might as well wake up and guess the moon is made of cheese.

3. Please source and document the opinions of historians, economists, and international policy experts regarding their interpretation of each resolution, along with their commentary on potential ramifications.

All of this is necessary to get a broader, and more realistic view, of what might actually result from the resolutions.

THIS IS WHAT IS REQUIRED TO DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.

If you can't do all of this... then I recommend looking for NEWS ARTICLES from the country MOST AFFECTED BY, and MOST FAMILIAR WITH the issues at hand... like the Israeli Press.

Come on guys, this isn't rocket science.
Let's learn to source and document our stories.

I hope you dont think any news writer do such things as you propose.

I gave you links to two UN resolution I could find, but I am not sure if they are the same OP is talking about. You can read them. And then show me the doom :)

My point was NOT that each of us "should" do an insane, virtually impossible amount of research and fact-checking.

My point was that to understand something complex and controversial, like a LEGAL MULTI-NATIONAL RESOLUTION... we need to either do a ton of research, OR LOCATE THE MOST EXPERT PEOPLE.

It's often best to just locate the MOST EXPERT PEOPLE.

The problem is our culture no longer teaches, or values, critical thinking skills... so it's hard for people to even locate the MOST EXPERT PEOPLE.

Normally, if you find the people MOST AFFECTED by something... those will be the people talking about that thing.

That is where you can START your research.

Then, you begin to look for EXPERTS on the subject... experts who are unbiased, or experts of varying opinions.

-> So, if ISRAEL is the country MOST AFFECTED by this UN resolution... and I go to various ISRAELI NEWS SOURCES... and... THEY DON'T SEEM TOO WORRIED OR EVEN INTERESTED... well... what does that tell you?

-> If I dig this issue up in multiple search engines, and find VIRTUALLY NO ONE considering it a NEW AND HORRIBLE CRISIS except ONE PROPHECY WEBSITE... out of all the news sites and webs sites on the entire earth... what does that tell you?

* Did it cross anyone's mind that the UN resolution might not really imply what people here are assuming it does?
* Did it cross anyone's mind that even if the resolution IS as bad as people here think, that Israel might just choose to completely IGNORE IT?
* Did it cross anyone's mind that there mind be all kinds of complicated circumstances that nullify, or alter, the IMPLEMENTATION or AFFECTS of the resolution?
* Did it cross anyone's mind to just USE THEIR MIND?

When we read something, or hear something, we need to use some CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS to see if it's TRUE... and THEN... if it IS true... research where the RESULTS should LOGICALLY FALL.

I don't have a perfect answer to this story, or any other story.
But I DO KNOW we all need to use some critical thinking when we hear things.

Re: At a vote in The UN yesterday NZ & 148 other nations voted to divide Jerusalem

Quick Note:

The CRITICAL THINKING I keep whining about is a BIBLICAL PRINCIPLE.

1Th 5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

We are to "prove" or "test" all things... to determine if they are true.

This wasn't my idea.
God said that.

Don't get mad at ME if God told everyone to use their noggin.

I can agree with most of your posts, I still think that if we want to talk about the UN resolution is good to read them first, though.
They are quite short, 2 pages each :)

1. Of course, Israel will ignore them as always.

2. There is some quite strong "pro-Israel" hysteria in some Christian circles, without any critical thinking.

President Trump has stated that he will move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This will place recognition of the capital of Israel is Jerusalem. What do you think will happen in the Arab world when that happens?

Any resolution passed in the UN is worthless and unenforceable. The US should withdraw from the UN and evict them from their present HQ in NYC.

Wow.

Maybe you shouldn't say that out loud.

The dome will eventually be leveled because that is the location Israel is going build the temple.

They do, but they are getting the super max safe spaces, meaning that their safe spaces are extremely unsafe for everyone else.

It will definitely be taken down on the Day of the Lord's return : p

I saw a video where the makers of the video talked about the possibility of the temple being built directly next to the dome, though. Im not real super knowledgeable on this topic, but they mentioned something about the umm court of the gentiles? And that because of that it could actually be built next to the dome.
I have heard that there are Muslim leaders who are actually calling to let the Jews build the temple though.
