When they come to take my guns, they will do so because the people will will want it and they will outnumber my people.

Yes I agree, laws will be passed against Christianity, and they already have with the defiling of marriage. And it's allowed because of being outnumbered in public opinion.
Here's what you're not understanding. The problem is that most Christians have a persecution complex.
Someone else being given a right is not taking a right away from you.
When they kick down my door and take my Bible then I will say I'm being persecuted
If someone wants to worship Satan Buddha or SpongeBob SquarePants that's his constitutional right

That is also coming as a result of Christians sitting down on their hands, allowing these sort of things to happen, and it's going to continue to get worse.

Oh how I long for when this world is passed away and Christ is reigning for 1000 years, and we are changed into our glorified body. This kind of talk won't even be thought of it.

Here is what you do not understand. It's not all about ME, and it's not all about YOU. Having personal rights is not our only concern and duty, we have to preserve the society and environment we live in and love our neighbors by promoting The Truth in their lives.

And it's not all about "rights", it's also about our beliefs and values. We should not promote homosexuality as natural and equally valid. Do you understand the society is more complex than "rights"? We cannot support lies and sin, and we do so by giving people the moral justification and encouragement to believe lies and sin.

We are going to start having less Christians sitting on their hands, because there is going to be less Christians in general. Then there will just be outright support for anything and everything evil.

I'm not going to budge on this one. The Constitution cannot be undermined on religious principles. If we allow this then like I just said what happens when we get a Muslim or an Atheist president who wants to do the same? I will never support Theocratic legislation. That would be a slap in the face to everyone who has served our country. There are people of all religions as well as atheist who have served our country. They didn't do so for one religion to be favored

You already responded to that post, and there is one after it, but anyway doesn't matter.

I served the country as an atheist, I did it for money and the experience. Some do it because they were drafted. It would have been in my best interest and all of ours if The Truth was favored.

You lack faith because you do not believe in promoting The Truth or that doing so would be best for everyone. Your faith is in the constitution. No point in going back and forth anymore if we aren't even responding to the proper posts or really acknowledging the content of them, although all of mine did.

And the muslim or atheist president aren't going to respect the constitution and religious freedom just because the Christians did. We prevent the muslim and atheist president by promoting Christianity, which would prevent these individuals from being elected. This is the bigger picture.

That's because all of their arguments are irrelevant. We have a constitution for a reason and it should not be deviated

Well they are irrelevant to you because you put the constitution above God on these matters.

So if I have one final point to make, it's that you put the constitution above God. Don't do this, and work on seeing the bigger picture of what is best for everyone. It was fun talking, thanks for not entirely ignoring me.

It's not a hard concept. If they can take same-sex couples rights away then they can take your rights away. Why is this so difficult to understand?

They are going to ban heterosexual marriage if we ban homosexual marriage? When we ban homosexual marriage, it strengthens heterosexual marriage. Strengthening my rights will not lead to my rights being taken away.

We are "they", if we support Christian values, Christian values will support us. It's not a hard Truth to understand.

Irrelevant.
For the 55 billionth time we are not a theocracy.
Not everyone is going to follow the Bible and you can't make them. It's called free will. Again if I wanted to live in a theocracy I would move to Saudi Arabia

I gotta be honest dude, you are terrible at arguing. Absolutely no where did I say that homsexuality should be banned. Nothing in this post tackled my post. You just hide behind the constitution to shame Christian people for saying that the act is wrong.

You cant even argue.

Gluttony is a sin too. Since everyone seems to want theocracy do we make it illegal to eat too much? Or how about we Outlaw profanity? I had an impurel thought yesterday so I guess I'd better turn myself in to the authorities
You can easily say gluttony is a sin, but you refuse to say homosexuality is wrong. You absolutely place politics before all else : p

I thought we already covered this. You can say it's wrong. That's your constitutional right.
But your rights end when you try to infringe on someone else's constitutional rights

That's not what I said. It's real simple. If you want to start skirting the constitution in order to enforce your Theocratic laws then what happens when we get a president who wants to do the same thing against your Christian rights? The proverbial goose and Gander apply here

I never said ban anything?

My argument wasnt that we should infringe on anyones rights, it was entirely about you and how you work to shame Christian people for saying homosexuality is wrong.
My very first post on here was merely me talking about how I hope that Christian people can find protection from the law when it comes to having to engage in events they believe are wrong, such as the cake issue.

You never focus on the points I made, but keep on bringing up the constitution to justify your shaming of Christian people as well as your refusal to say that something that is called sin in both the OT and NT is wrong.

I think that the people who engage with you on this forum need to be aware of your stance.

Here is my question to you sir.....you're taking up for material things in this life that are temporary, and manmade, so my question is, do you stand for man? Or do you stand for Christ, and the Word, because by your logic you're saying that it's my right to say that it's wrong, when God HIMSELF stated this was wrong. Which side are you on??

if only, at some time in our lives, we could look in the mirror,
and see what is really there - this, it would seem, as we have
observed, is one of the most powerful deceptions that satan has
devised against those who love the world more than their
Holy Saviour...sad, but oh so true, just try and look, if you can
or if you have a real and true friend that you trust, maybe, just
maybe, they will have the courage to love you enough to tell
you the truth about yourself...

Wanted to back up this post for anyone whos actually reading this whos confused-

I agree that those who live this lifestyle should be treated with respect, and have the same rights we do. I believe its wrong to persecute them or harm them, and I believe they should have the same freedoms you and I have.
