I don't believe man/women selected gender identity is possible. God plumbed us to the only gender identification available to us. Removing that plumbing doesn't change your God given identity. There is one thing that gets lost in this issue. We are commanded to love even those who are living this or any lie. When we share the love of a life lived for Christ with people lost in this or any other sinful life style, lives will be changed.

I traveled outside the areas frequented by tourists in Japan as late as 1985. There were no men's/women's restrooms. There were no stalls in the restrooms either. They separate sex from natural body functions. The locals thought the red faced Americans were funny. I wonder what they would have thought when they walked into a modern American restroom equipped with stalls.

yeah...it's a complicated issue...but I basically agree

however, there are people born with both male and female sex organs...there are also all kinds of other birth defects..I think we need to remember that we live in a fallen world and sin has affected everything

The safety/privacy of young girls (or boys) does not outweigh the rights of the transgender, the gay/lesbian, or those who prey on young girls/boys.

Don't believe me, ask a Liberal Socialist Democrat.
yup

exactly

that was one of the main issues brought up in that debate I watched...

Transgender.....it was my thought that these are folks born with both sexual organs? How horrible to have to try and figure out if male or female.... I guess I would err on the side of compassion for such a person.... My Blond might be showing but am I wrong or is Transgender someone who changes their current sex or is Transgender both born and chosen? Not sure... but if it is the first one I listed I don't think I'd have a problem if one who's parents decided at birth they'd be a female were to use a female bathroom....

no...that would actually be the exception that a child is born with both

what happens, apparently, is that somehow they feel they should be the opposite sex to what they are...and seriously, who knows, I mean sometimes a twin will absorb the other fetus...they have found body parts like teeth, hair and so on growing in people...from absorbed twin in the womb

sometimes, yes the parents will decide whether to keep a baby male or female if they have both

we can be very thankful if we do not deal with these things...for sure the majority of us do not

to answer your question, yes, trans is someone who changes to the opposite sex...did you hear about Bruce Jenner? he trans-gendered to female some time ago

Yeah..........sigh........we had the back porch
Well, we did as well; but by doing that had killed the grass in certain spots. And our family loves to take in lots of fluid; and so when we have company, they did not wanted to go out on the back porch on a hot summer night drinking a nice cold glass of sweet tea..

We had a bit of a situation at work last year. A contracted IT company came in for
several months to do some work for us. One was a man who was taking hormone
treatment to become a woman.

It was sort of interesting in a bizarre kind of way to see the effects of female
hormones on a male body. Over the course of time he seemed to lose body
hair and his skin changed. Not that I went looking lol, but it was obvious during
the summer months when he wore shore sleeved tops.

Then there was the next phase where he started to wear skirts and sandals
instead of trousers.

The inevitable question came of whether he uses the ladies or the gents came up.

I should explain that I work in a building with several floors and the ladies and gents
alternate between the floors. So for example the canteen, ladies and where the IT
people worked was all on the top floor, then the next floor down included the gents,
the next floor the ladies etc.

I stopped using the ladies on the top floor after walking in a couple of times and
seeing him there. There was individual toilets but it still felt a bit strange.

Also I don't know what else goes on in the gents, but in the ladies, staff use it for
getting changed, putting on make up, getting a bit of a wash in hot weather etc.
So you don't really want a man walking in, even if he is wearing a skirt.

Yup that woud be disturbing to see the opposite sex in a bathroom pretending to be the other gender....that's gross!

funny story here:

years ago, a friend and I were in a restaurant and we were joking around and just having a good time

we decided to pay a visit to the washroom...so, there we were in the washroom and wondering why it had plumbing that was not usually found in a woman's bathroom...so in comes a man....looks at us funny...we look at him..then at the plumbing...the light dawns...we had wandered into the men's bathroom...

we left in a fit of giggling....and the guy was shaking his head...two crazy women

This actually happened in an airport that I was travelling through, where a guy accidentally went into the lady's room....and a older lady who saw it started making a scene ( no obscenities ) but "hey man where are you going???!!!" really loudly, the poor chap turned red in the face and was so embarrassed he did not mean to go in there but was in a rush to pee and didn't notice the sign....he apologized and went to the correct bathroom but it was so funny....I didn't want to be jerk and laugh at his face so I held my laughter until he went into the bathroom and I laughed so hard! XD

Transgenders are persons that are born with a specific set of gender specific traits and make the choice to become the other gender.

Persons born with both sets of genitalia used to be known as Hermaphrodites and more commonly known as Intersex today and there is a specific genetic abnormality that causes it. Some intersex persons are surgically modified at birth to remove the "extra" parts but it often creates more problems later in life than what it solves for them in their younger years.

my mom did that once. Only she walked by a couple of guys standing at the urinals and got into the stall before she realized where she was. Lol

LOL!....we realized our mistake before we got serious...I guess mistakes are made often enough if you are in a hurry

we were just too busy laughing and not paying attention...afterward, we laughed even more and made jokes about it for days

What I don't understand is how transgendered people think a universal restroom is "discriminatory". What the heck?

It's equal (non discriminate of gender) yet they still claim discrimination.

Someone born intersex is not the same as someone born male and chooses to become female. There are some intersex people that were "assigned" male-only organs that grow up not relating with the male gender and later choose to be female, or vice versa. That still isn't the same thing.

Sometimes its not so easy to tell. I hate the ones that are like fillies or colts or whatever. I've almost stopped someone and asked which one is which! Say women or men, please.

Dear leftists who feel first, think later (if ever),
Got a couple of bones to pick with you over your new cause de jour. That is, where a person should or should not sit upon the porcelain throne. If you had asked me ten years ago “where do you see yourself in ten years,” I promise you I never would’ve answered “peeing in a stall next to a man,” or “writing about where men and women should drop a deuce.” In fact if you had told me I’d be writing about how telling a man to use a urinal in a man’s bathroom would one day be “hate speech” I might have laughed so hard I’d have to run to the LADIES room. Never once wondering which potty place to visit. Call me a cis-gendered hater.

What has our world come to? Sin has certainly increased just as the bible states and hearts are waxing cold....
