I heard from a former homosexual that that whole problem started when he was a kid and a man acted filthy in a men's bathroom and he saw it. Why only protect girls?
I don't want my kids to see some grown up man peeing. I had a date with an almost blind man and had to open and close the door for him when he had to go. Also they have those things in front of each other, ladies and men rooms and sometimes they're even too lazy to close the door. If they don't have manners just have closed doors for them please.
They have bathrooms for families now,no issues. My sister said where she lives a "transgender" went into the ladies restroom and exposed himself to the women and children there. I want to go to a restroom with women, not men. Shoot my husband and I have two bathrooms at home! Women have other things they have to do in a restroom. I for one do not want men shuffling behind me into a bathroom, dress or no dress. You're a man. Until you suffer PMS,tampons, cramps and childbirth you are a MAN! Go to the mens room, hike your dress,do your business and move on.

The issue is privacy and safety. Neither has to be compromised to allow transgender people to use the bathroom that matches their gender rather than their birth sex. It is shameful that people are currently demonising all transgender people as predators.

The rhetoric also seems to imply that all men are predators or potential predators, too. Which is sexist. And it conveniently ignores that people can be abused by those of their own sex. Perhaps we should divide bathrooms by age, sex, gender and sexual orientation. Then everyone will be safe, right? Maybe even by religion too. I mean, what if someone started preaching Islam to you when all you came to do was pee? It's unlikely, but you can't be too safe.

The point is others are taking advantage of the situation. In the stories I posted the men were not transgendered.

Not all men are predators, but it only takes one that is to molest a child and murder them. A real man would want to protect his family and not have men he doesn't know around his women and children. Unfortunately its that type of world.

Quote "

No it doesn't. We're not talking about abuse in general,we're talking about abuse that is taking place in restrooms. I haven't seen news reports or heard of women sexually assaulting other women and children in restrooms. But I have seen the reports increase since this transgendered issue has come up.

Quote "Perhaps we should divide bathrooms by age, sex, gender and sexual orientation."

Perhaps we should leave bathrooms the way they are. Just because 10% of people decide they suddenly want to pretend to be a woman doesn't mean we as tax payers need to provide a special bathroom for them. You're a man,use the mens room or use the bathroom before you leave home. The next thing we're going to have 60 restrooms so we don't offend anyone. Its utter nonsense.

We don't have that problem here. No idea where they go. Noone cares actually. Not gonna look if someone is transgender. You don't even see it.

I wonder if they want their rights because they have been discriminated. If the line is too long for the ladies' room and it's just one or 2 closed toilets women simply go to the men's room. They don't dare say something about it lol.

The point is this legislation has a direct negative effect on an already stigmatised group of people. Single-sex bathrooms don’t prevent sexual (or other forms) of assault. If a predator wants to take advantage of someone, they will do it regardless of what the sign on the door says.

Quote "The rhetoric also seems to imply that all men are predators or potential predators, too. Which is sexist."

Not all adults are predators, but it only takes one to molest a child/murder a child. Does this mean bathrooms should be age-restricted? Does this mean we ignore that men can molest/murder boys and that women can molest/murder girls?

We’re talking about abuse in bathrooms. ‘There is no evidence that gender-segregated bathrooms are “safer” for cisgender women than unisex bathrooms. And besides, there are laws protecting people from criminal conduct in public restrooms. If anything, a concern for safety weighs in favor of bathroom accessibility. Transgender people face a uniquely high degree of harassment—53% of 6,450 transgender people reported being harassed or disrespected in a place of public accommodation in a recent survey conducted by the National Center for Transgender Equality and the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force.’ [lambda legal]
Gender-neutrality is no worse for cis women and children, but gender-segregation can have a huge impact on the lives of trans individuals.

The rights of a minority shouldn’t be decided by the majority. Also, please don’t be transphobic. It reflects poorly on you and it is insulting for trans individuals who may visit this site.

Also, is childbirth in ladies' bathrooms common? If so, I think we should employ doctors and nurses to permanently stay in bathrooms.

It is not a matter or trans people being dangerous
it is about people PRETENDING to be trans to have a peek
so basically a man can enter the ladies room and get away with it by saying "but I'll really a woman! I just haven't finished changing yet"

Would you want what you interpreted as a woman standing next to you when urinating in a urinal with no walls between you?
(At what point is a woman that turns into a man a man?)

Read the news stories, they are all over the place. This makes it easier for predators to do what they wish. A sudden rash of news stories is telling us something.

Quote "

Children should not be going into a bathroom alone to begin with.I have nephews and I make sure my husband goes with them to the restroom. Yes,predators are everywhere. But that still isn't the issue, which you are side stepping. The issue is this allows men to go where young women and girls are,all men. This is a disaster waiting to happen as,once again, news reports are showing. A man taking pictures of young girls in the restroom, a man exposing himself to women and children, this is opening a door.

Quote "
Does this mean we ignore that men can molest/murder boys and that women can molest/murder girls?"

I'll say again, that is not the issue here. The issue is allowing men into womens restrooms. Side stepping it doesn't change the issue. Lets stay on the topic.

Quote"
‘There is no evidence that gender-segregated bathrooms are “safer” for cisgender women than unisex bathrooms."

Read the news reports. They are just beginning to open the restrooms and already there are all kinds of news reports about abuse going on and the law is just being passed. I'd say thats evidence this is an issue. We don't here all kinds of news reports of sexual assaults in restrooms, but suddenly we are. There's your evidence.

Quote "
but gender-segregation can have a huge impact on the lives of trans individuals."

More so than a child having pictures taken of them, or being exposed to,or assaulted? I don't believe in transgender. Not in the least. And I actually have a close friend who is doing this right now. I love him like a brother but I disagree with his lifestyle and I don't intend to call him "her" or another name. There are people right now who believe they have too many limbs and are asking doctors to remove legs and arms. Doctors send them to counseling and give them meds. But if you want to become a woman when you're a man thats completely normal? No,its not.

Quote "
The rights of a minority shouldn’t be decided by the majority. Also, please don’t be transphobic. It reflects poorly on you and it is insulting for trans individuals who may visit this site."

Laws aren't decided by the minority in this country. This is a republic where all vote and laws are put in place. Laws were never supposed to be changed because of popular opinion.

If a trans individual comes here I would tell them God loves them, and so do I. As I said, I have a close friend, who served at my wedding and I love dearly, doing this right now. I would tell them that God has something better for them,a better path. And that they can be male and be happy as a male and God will give them a fulfilling life if they accept them into their life. So please don't come on here judging me as a bigot or phobic. You don't know me.

All women have periods, they use some form of product, for the sake of men here, i'll leave it there. A man cannot be a woman and a woman cannot be a man and thats the point, which you well knew I was making. They have actually done studies on this and have found that merely changing a body part still doesn't totally transform one sex to another. There are still things totally male or female that the opposite sex cannot experience. That is the point being made.

A woman my have health issues where she can't be pregnant but that doesn't change her sex. She may not have PMS but it doesn't change the fact she is female. As a male, tho it may change, they can never experience that. Women have the potential unless there are health issues yet they still remain female in every sense of the word. A man can experience none of this.

Male restroom, female restroom, unisex restroom.

Problem solved. If a transvestite feels bad about going into a men's bathroom they can go into a unisex one. Bet the ranch you won't find many if any women in the unisex ones though.
Yes problem solved.

if it was Star Trek, I would apply for the Enterprise LOL! take the helm ember! ;)
The actual engineering drawings of the USS Enterprise shows that there were no bathrooms on that ship. I guess when you had to go you would have to use your phaser instead of flushing the toilet. The motto is "We aim to please so please aim."

While this is a great area of concern, how big is it compared to our national security and shutting down obama care and ridding my grandchildren of the common core? How important is what he has said on this compared to getting our country closed down to illegal immigrants just as all other safe countries do and always have? Tool Obama has run this country so far in debt that the usa is literally skating on thin ice. Do you know that this country runs on credit? We dont have gold backing our money!! There was a time where that was not the case. If ONE huge company looses trust in this credit system,it will be a domino effect. Who will be the huge entity to do that? One of the handful of globalist. The federal reserve is feeding our economy by extending credit with nothing backing it!! Dont you see how ludicrous that is? When the time is right with the particular people in nominal positions, they will pull the backing. Thats when all hell will break loose followed by marshal law and the NWO along with the OWR. WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\

Our military has been sliced and diced to where it is a joke to other countries. Other countries laugh at us! But yet, lets hang out and talk about sexually perverted individuals using the same bathroom as we do because THAT is far more important than all the things I have mentioned. I only scratched the surface btw. It is a deep depressing rabbit trail.

MsSuzanna do you have children? Particularly girls? I would say a man in a bathroom taking pictures of a young girl is every bit as important as all you have mentioned. You would feel that way if it was your daughter. How about a man walking in and exposing himself to you child, happened where my sister lives, yes, its every bit as important as all you mentioned. The safety of women and children is extremely important. And the first man that walks into a bathroom Im in and tries something stupid is getting a face full of mace or my taser, depending on the mood I'm in.

These people need to see who they are in Christ. Where they go to the bathroom doesn't make the list of concerns for me. The broader issue are people who are very sad and extremely sick. They need to go the Lord and see their image in Christ. They need to understand that God doesn't make mistakes and live accordingly. The world should in no way have to bend to their own unresolved issues, they need to be constructive about it and get help, not cry discrimination. Throwing tantrums and screaming prejudice doesn't garner an ounce of sympathy from me whatsoever. I'll be happy when I see you turn to the Lord for help, and nothing else.

I don't let my sons go alone.
My ex as a 4 or 5 year old was at a swimming pool and a woman asked him to go with her. I had a woman ask me to come with her too as a kid. Our parents warned us for pedo's. I just don't leave my kids alone. Lol he didn't even let my son go to an older married woman alone who just had to do physiotherapy. She was so mad. Everyone can be dangerous.
