Kim Kardashian is much wealthier than Stephen hawking. Does that mean in your mind she must be smarter than he is?
- Trump was given almost eight million from his father in today's dollars to get started.
- He has been bankrupt countless times, no U.S. bank will lend him money.
- Some of his own people have called him an idiot.
- He get's his daily briefings in single page picture format because he doesn't like to read.
- His vocabulary is grade school.
- He won because he appealed to white nationalists, xenophobic populists and most of all to the people in coal country and the rust belt who have been unemployed and left behind by everyone. It also helped that the DNC ran the one person who could lose to him. (She still won the popular vote by three million).
Maybe perhaps he is smarter than you, but that doesn't mean he is a smart person. A ten year old is measurably more intelligent than a three year old. They both still don't know anything. I don't know if you're smart, or what motivates you to support horrible people. Perhaps you don't understand what's going on. Perhaps you are one of the groups I listed. Perhaps you are just obsessed with winning against "the other side" and will defend horrible people as long as they're on the same team.

The end justify the means. That gem is from Penn. He said Trump could have "character flaws" as long as Penn got what he wanted. Like 9 years of tax cuts which will total around 36,000 dollars. Trump alone will make around 1.5 billion the first year alone. His tax break is permanent. Yours isn't. Do you really think that's coincidental? And as for all those big businesses bringing jobs back to America... Every those companies Trump supposedly made deals with, they kept some workers. But they laid off the majority of them. Coal is failing, so is steel. Those big businesses aren't going to suddenly open more factories and produce products! CEOs have been polled and the majority of them said the money was going into the pockets of the shareholders and themselves. They said their workers could live on the wage provided.
Fox News is not news. They applied to be apart of the BBC network of news and didn't qualify. That should say something. Also, Rupurt Murdoch owns Fox. This matters because Reagan made him a US citizen and got rid of the Fairness in Journalism Act. Simply put, by getting rid of the law the press can lie all they want. Murdoch runs Fox News.
The term "Staycation" was invented in 2005. Who was president again? Oh yeah! George W Bush... The banks we're knowingly setting people up who couldn't afford house loans. But what else could they do? They bought too much and were broke. How else were they going to recoup their losses? I remember now my history now! They sell to people who can't truly afford it long term, but in the meantime, they'll get some of the money back.
Trump is against legal immigration too. That is if you're from a country where you might have the wrong skin color. And you know what? Most Christians forget they follow and claim to love a middle eastern Jewish man. He's not the blonde hair, blue eyes, Roman nose portrait we see so often.

is it the wrong skin color or is it the wrong attitude, hatred of the US but they will grab all the can, and the idea they can live off the gov? (otherwise known as taxpayer dollars...as a US taxpayer I object also)
I have been married to an American for a good number of years now, had to wait over one year for my permanent resident visa and was stopped at the border and turned back a couple of years ago because (and this was not true but agents can pretty much make up a story, as I found out, and tell you that is YOUR story) I was married to an American and Mr Attitude Agent decided I was entering illegally. I was going down for the winter, had a permanent residence in Canada and there was no reason to turn me back...other than someone working a small border crossing was working on his resume to be sent to a better crossing where he would not have to make up stories.
I am blond, fair skinned, obviously not on skid row, had a valid passport, birth cert and the whole kit...and I was detained I think about 8 hours...could not even use the bathroom without being accompanied...the only thing they did not do was strip search me.
I was forced to sign a so called 'confession' that was not accurate and told if I did not sign it, I would be put in a holding cell and not allowed to enter the US for 20 years. The lawyer we hired after the fact, said what they did was basically illegal and we could take it up with the system after I was allowed entry. As a Canadian citizen, with an absolutely perfect record, financially stable, self employed and not at all guilty of what I was accused of, how do you think that all made me feel?
I have since found out that I am far from alone. Under Obama, it seems the northern border was the threat while the southern border was an easy slide.
you know, you folks generalizing everything and talking like it only goes the way YOU say it does, are bothersome because you are working on an ideology...the cult of you are always right and there is only one side to the story.
I am here legally, but it cost 7500.oo US, a lawyer, and some hardship as I didn't see my husband for an entire year.

so yeah...let's wait in line, get everything in order, make sure of who is entering the country and make sure they don't live off the earnings of those who work for a living

Yeah.. I don't think you got ANYTHING straight, and please don't put words in my mouth. I can explain, but unfortunately I can't comprehend for you. Trying to unpack, and deprogram the indoctrinated ignorance might be too tall a task. But I'll give it a shot.
The VERY definition of covetousness is looking at what others have and desiring it. Ya know how a Christian is supposed to think on this subject? Paul tells us:
Philippians 4: [h=3]God’s Provisions[/h][FONT="]10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity.11 Not that I speak [g]from want, for I have learned to be CONTENT in whatever circumstances I am. 12 I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. 13 I can do all things [i]through Him who strengthens me. 14 Nevertheless, you have done well to share with me in my affliction.
WE have never gone a day hungry or thirsty. WE walk 5 feet and turn on pure, clean water. Another couple of feet and a refrigerator full of food we stare at because it's the same ole same ole food. WE have conveniences and blessings that would not have been thought possible in Jesus' day, NOR IN MANY PARTS OF THE WORLD TODAY!
Whenever I hear complaining, and sadly, sometimes even from me, I fear because I am reminded of how God truly HATED when the Israelites did it: (paraphrasing) " Why can't we go back to Egypt! They have so MUCH! WE are SICK of this Manna, we are thirsty. We want Meat...." So the Lord sent fiery snakes, and so much quail (meat) it came out of their nose! And other consequences for complaining.
The crux of the problem with those on the left is that they want equality of result,(SOCIALISM) rather than freedom, that results in wealth disparity (Capitalism).
You CANNOT have both. Some have deluded themselves that a shared, equal, prosperous, utopia is possible. They completely fail to understand that man's corruption has only EVER been tamed by 2 forces. Competition, and accountability to God.
But the left would rather have a tiny piece of pie, AS LONG AS EVERYONE has the same size piece,(shared misery) than have a pretty good size piece of pie, if it means others may have a larger piece than them. Again, this is really what the sin of covetousness is all about.
As for Trump, and other extremely wealthy people, let the LORD deal with them! You don't have authority to judge him, or anybody else for that matter. Lose your bitterness, and use the blessings the Lord gave YOU to bless others.

I am reminded of the man who bought a new, $50,000 Ford pickup.
His neighbor scolded him and asked him if he knew how many hungry people that $50,000 would feed.
He answered this way
Have you ever considered how many jobs I helped create when I bought that pickup?
The miners who mined the ore for the steel and aluminum it is made of.
The truckers that hauled the ore.
The foundry workers that turned the ore into steel and aluminum.
The truckers that hauled the steel and aluminum to the auto maker.
The auto workers who made the pickup.
The truckers that hauled the pickup to the dealer.
The salesman who sold me the pickup.
And all those workers that made mining equipment, foundry tools, transport trucks, productions tools, built the buildings that all this work was done in.
And what about all the taxes that each of these workers and companies paid that helped support those needy who through no fault of their own needed help.
And a lot of that tax money was given to lazy people who just refused to work.
So by spending $50,000 of the money I earned through hard work, I did my part.
That is how capitalism works.
Without people with money spending money, there would be no money for those holding out their hand instead of working.
