CONSERVATIVE news media host rips apart Pence's stand in his defense of Trump:

Full interview: GOP Vice Presidential nominee Mike Pence - NetZero

Like some of the more extremist members of this forum, he tries (in vain) to defend Trump by blaming it all on the news media. But the show's host (a conservative) repeatedly tells him, 'don't blame us, blame yourself as we are using YOUR words, not ours.'

Trump, like Pence and those who defend him, is pathetic.

The "love", Christianity, brotherhood and fellowship between members in these political threads is pathetic. To see how a Christian site, a place for fellow Christians to come together and rejoice and fellowship in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, has seemingly brought out the worse in folk with the name calling and smut throwing is appalling. For shame!

Trump would benefit greatly from the advice that my grandfather always gave me. Engage brain, ease off the clutch, then run your mouth.

Granted I'm not Hispanic, but I'd like to think that if I was, I'd be in favor of Trump's original immigration policy.

Parasitic white collar criminals hire illegal immigrants (like the Polish immigrants who built Trump Tower) and pay them pennies on the dollar. By allowing illegal immigration, two things happen:

1.) fewer jobs for legal Hispanics (and other people in general)
2.) the demand for work is lower due to the supply of so many [illegal] workers, thus, lower wages for the same job (white collar criminals pay pennies on the dollar for illegals).

I'm fine with a wall being built, but this just gives the illusion of security. It's like putting your great dane dog in the backyard with a 6 inch fence and expecting him to not being able to get over/around/under it. The greatest thing we could do to stop illegal immigration isn't building a wall, it's cracking down on the white collar criminals!!!
This is a really good post. So much truth and wisdom in it. Thank you.

Yes, I agree with her that the white collar crime is a problem. But the problem also is how difficult investigating white collar crime is. The white collar criminals have a lot of resources, and they are using skilled lawyers to keep them out of trouble. The investigators and the prosecutors are typically not that skilled, because they are generalists. Of course, the FBI has programs directed at white collar crime, but if a white collar crook can make millions of bucks on one scheme, he can might as well can pay his team of lawyers enough to keep him off the hook...not to mention the people he is bribing.

And then there's the requirement to meet the standards of reasonable doubt, which is, to say the least, not very easy when it comes to white collar crime. Their defense lawyers can offer numerous logical explanations that can be derived from the facts, which makes stating guilt difficult beause the jurors steadily are baffled by their legal wizards.

Whenever a small, county sheriff's office has screwed up a white collar case, they aint gonna touch a case like that again...DUI is way easier to handle.

I think most people who are going to vote for trump are hopefully going to figure out that he is not really changing what he wants to do in a major way he is just calming down the tone so he can get the swing voters on his side. Most peple will figure out that he will still do what he has been saying all along eventually
That guy Is a true con man.lol
I don't know why Donald Trump continues to try to woo votes from those who are not base voters,he should concentrate his efforts where his strengths can be magnified to the people that he might sway,but trying to Influence people that he has Insulted too much Is like trying to scramble an egg that Is already hard boiled.

Funny thing about Trump and his view on immigrants and how they take away jobs:

[h=1]FORMER MODELS FOR DONALD TRUMP'S AGENCY SAY THEY VIOLATED IMMIGRATION RULES AND WORKED ILLEGALLY[/h]Source: Mother Jones

Republican nominee Donald Trump has placed immigration at the core of his presidential campaign. He has claimed that undocumented immigrants are "taking our jobs" and "taking our money," pledged to deport them en masse, and vowed to build a wall on the Mexican border. At one point he demanded a ban on Muslims entering the country. Speaking to supporters in Iowa on Saturday, Trump said he would crack down on visitors to the United States who overstay their visas and declared that when any American citizen "loses their job to an illegal immigrant, the rights of that American citizen have been violated." And he is scheduled to give a major address on immigration in Arizona on Wednesday night.

But the mogul's New York modeling agency, Trump Model Management, has profited from using foreign models who came to the United States on tourist visas that did not permit them to work here, according to three former Trump models, all noncitizens, who shared their stories with Mother Jones. Financial and immigration records included in a recent lawsuit filed by a fourth former Trump model show that she, too, worked for Trump's agency in the United States without a proper visa.

<snip>

Canadian-born Rachel Blais spent nearly three years working for Trump Model Management. After first signing with the agency in March 2004, she said, she performed a series of modeling gigs for Trump's company in the United States without a work visa. At Mother Jones' request, Blais provided a detailed financial statement from Trump Model Management and a letter from an immigration lawyer who, in the fall of 2004, eventually secured a visa that would permit her to work legally in the United States. These records show a six-month gap between when she began working in the United States and when she was granted a work visa. During that time, Blais appeared on Trump's hit reality TV show, The Apprentice, modeling outfits designed by his business protégés. As Blais walked the runway, Donald Trump looked on from the front row.

<snip>

Two of the former Trump models said Trump's agency encouraged them to deceive customs officials about why they were visiting the United States and told them to lie on customs forms about where they intended to live. Anna said she received a specific instruction from a Trump agency representative: "If they ask you any questions, you're just here for meetings."
