Episcopal Church approves gay marriage: What it means in Alabama | AL.com

The Episcopal Church on Tuesday votedto allow religious weddings for gay couples, joining the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the United Church of Christ in allowing same-sex marriages in all their congregations.
The decision by the House of Deputies – which includes lay people and clergy – came at the Episcopalian General Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, when delegates voted overwhelmingly in favor of amending canon law so that instead of marriage being defined as between "a man and a woman" or "husband and wife", it is now gender-neutral and between “these persons” or “the couple”.
The resolutions, which will take effect after November 1, follow last Friday’s US Supreme Court’s landmark ruling to legalize same-sex marriages across the country....

Jeremiah 50:6- "My people have become lost sheep; Their shepherds have led them astray They have made them turn aside on the mountains; They have gone along from mountain to hill And have forgotten their resting place.
yup, whoring after other gods leaving God's Word.

“And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word.
And his disciples came and besought him, saying; Send her away; for she crieth after us.
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said,
It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.” Matthew 15:22-8

" ... he initially refuses to even speak to her merely because she is different.
He then declares that he only cares about Israelis, only they will be saved. He then compares her to a dog.
It is only after she is forced to beg, grovel and compare herself to a dog eating crumbs that Jesus decides to help her.
If that’s not racist then I don’t know what is.(Mark 7:25-30 tells the same story except the woman is Greek according to him.)"

Hallelujah !
Many more will follow.
Soon it will be only the Catholics (with their disproportionately deviant clergy) and the radical fundies who cling to the primitive discrimination of the dark ages.

SO? what He said and done was perfect and right...
We must have a different definition of 'right'.

All unsubstantiated mumbo jumbo (Should be dead easy to refute then ?)

Right, 'bible bits' as if God speaks in bits and bytes.
Whenman's law flatly contradicts God's Law, we are to obey God rather than man.
" Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. (like the U.S. Government and the Supreme Court)
For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed,
and those who resist will incur judgment."

Argue it out with "Saint" Paul.

Romans 13 Truth > Home

"The fallacious interpretation of Romans chapter 13 that teaches Christians are obligated to submit to government regardless of whether government acts within the confines and jurisdiction of God’s law or not is Biblically incorrect."

And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us. Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
(Act 5:27-29)

But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive? And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them. Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty. And it came to pass, because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.
(Exo 1:17-21)

Pumice, you speak out of the abundance of your ignorance of God's Word.

C'mon Age (or Cross) - tell me why it doesn't mean what it says..

Just another of the legion of contradictions, I guess.

I gave you a quote concerning the midwives in Exodus. Paul in Romans is speaking normally when government is doing what it is supposed to be doing. In this case the government has over stepped the authority given it by God by redefining what God has already defined long before this government came to be.

I suppose you would have been busy handing over Jews to the Nazis during WWII.

I don't think you understand what the term right means....I will not defend Him to you, I don't throw what is holy to dogs.

THAT is disgusting. You should be ashamed.

If that is Christian chat, I reckon I'll go find some Muslims or Wiccans or atheists or anyone with a less hateful attitude.

Great cop-out, Mitspa.

You mean you cannot defend that overt racism ?

Not my 'mantra', Cross.

I simply quoted 'scripture'. Nothing more, nothing less.
Proves nothing.
I quoted scripture with an explanation.
Satan quoted Scripture to Jesus, so?
Why do you hang around these Christian forums?
Are you seeking? Or seeking to stir up division?

Just to brighten up your day, mate.
Shed some light and joy amidst the fire and brimstone. ;)
Light? Light has to do with Truth.
Preaching to Christians what they are supposed to believe while you yourself are an unbeliever is laughable but it doesn't bring me joy.
