Well as social issue become more important because of all the recent attacks by the supreme court against the people...I think I am kinda waiting to see if any of these more successful governor types will be willing to take up that battle?
Yea I see what you mean, though I am not big on the social issues at least when it comes down to voting since I perceive most the politicians, especially the GOP, to talk a good talk on the social issues, but they never follow through.
I am not meaning so much on whom you think will win the nomination, or whom you will vote for. We will cross those bridges when we reach them. Moreso interested in your analysis of the campaign-to-date, and expectations, theories, and/or analysis of the upcoming debate.
To answer my own questions for an example; my analysis of the campaign so far is that the GOP was running pretty solid until Trump jumped in. Trump has single-handedly laid to waste most of the candidates in the GOP field and turned the GOP into a circus attraction. Things are certainly looking good for Hillary at the moment.
Touching on the upcoming debate a little side plot to look for is the GOP will have an opportunity here to get their party back on the rails with this debate. However there is of course also the chance the opposite will happen, especially with Trump and other F-list GOPers put together on the same stage, and it may turn into more of a circus than it is right now. It is also potential that Trump will lay so much waste to the GOP that the Republican Party could become so thoroughly illegitimized that it ceases to exist as a party. Either way, should be somewhat entertaining.
On the more serious side of things I am hoping Kasich will get to the debates and be able to show off some of his amazing record of positive results, which is what really sets him apart from the rest of the GOP field as the only viable alternative to Hillary Clinton.
On my fantasy 10 for the debate: John Kasich, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Lindsey Graham, Scott Walker, Bobby Jindal, Mike Huckabee, and Rick Santorum (Obviously in my fantasy match-up it would be a serious real politick debate, so it is unlikely this match-up will occur.)
