Anyone who advocates legalizing Marijuana should take a trip, (no pun intended), to the UK city of Manchester where recently a drug known as Spice which is derived from Maijuana is turning people into Zombies. They are found staggering around and in in comatose positions
around the town center and are putting a strain on Police and Public services

My sister, 12 years younger than me, has been a recreational pot user since the late sixties. Today she looks 12 years older than me. I don't care what all the studies show, long term use ain't healthy. The sad thing is that legal or illegal, she has no problem getting it, and she has never been arrested. If we jailed every one of those who are like my sister, we would have to build dozens of new prisons. You tell me, how can we make something that can be grown in a flower pot illegal, and enforce the law making it illegal. Lots of luck.

Either your news is misreporting, or you misunderstood the report.

Spice is not derived from marijuana, it is synthetic marijuana. Basically someone took the time to figure out how to chemically synthesize a product that would give it's users a similar high to that of marijuana without actually being marijuana. It's how drug dealers stay a couple of steps ahead of law enforcement, perpetually coming out with new compounds that can be dealt without repercussions until law enforcement catches on to the new stuff on the market and it able to get it labeled and outlawed.

Here in Colorado, although marijuana is legal for recreational use, Spice is illegal to sell or possess because it is NOT marijuana.

There is more than a wee bit of hypocrisy at play with all these things States are Legalizing..........

The Constitution is explicitly clear that when Federal Law and State Law conflicts, Federal Law takes precedent.

Liberals LOVE this when it supports their beliefs/programs/desires.............examples: Legalizing transgender rights when States have made it illegal (bathrooms 'n' such).......Legalizing same sex marriage when States have made it illegal......Legalizing Abortion when States have made it illegal...........they LOVE the Constitutional Power that supports Federal Law taking precedent in these cases.......

Oh, but wait.......

Legalizing marijuana.............Feds say "No." States do it anyway and say the Feds can't over rule them cuz it's the will of the people..........

Sanctuary Cities............Feds say "No." States/Cities do it anyway and say the Feds can't make them comply with Federal Law............

These are just a few instances...........sure others here can think of more........

It is truly sad

That's a synthetic drug. We're talking about actual marijuana here

That is my major issue with marijuana. There is federal mandate outlawing it. I'm only against states legalizing it because we disrespect/go against our constitution when we refuse to at least try to obey the letter of the law.

My hope is that the federal mandate gets reversed/removed first... Then allow states to do their thing. Marijuana should be utilized over a lot of other "legal" drugs that are being dumped into sick people in hopes of getting relief but no... It's explicitly outlawed. I have no idea why.

I can see an argument to be made that the federal government shouldn't have authority over marijuana not involved in interstate commerce.

Only a retard would vote yes
Spending billions to put people in jail for a drug that's less dangerous than alcohol seems retarded to me. But ....anyway......

If I lived in a state that had more reasonable laws, this thread would much more entertaining to read if I was high.

Reefer Madness. It was classed as a narcotic when it is not. Methamphetamines
and cocaine are legally classed as less dangerous than marijuana :p

Greetings all!

Here is some information that some may know, but many do not know:

"Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood."

"The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts."

The words translated "magic arts" above, are translated from the word "pharmakeia/pharmakos" which is where we get our English word Pharmaceutical from. Drugs were/are used in relation to incantations and casting spells. Today people are still using drugs for incantations and casting spells, but people are also using drugs for recreational purposes, which still falls under the banner of sorcery, magic arts. Therefore, many people who use Marijuana, methamphetamine's, cocaine, Heroin, etc, are guilty of practicing magic arts, without even realizing it. I believe that this is what is being referred to in the scriptures above, as well as those who are actually practicing magic arts with the rest of its characteristics. Below is the definition forpharmakeia and pharmakos:

=============================================================
Cognate: 5333 phármakos – properly, a sorcerer; used of people using drugs and "religious incantations" to drug people into living by their illusions – like having magical (supernatural) powers to manipulate God into giving them more temporal possessions.

5331 pharmakeía (from pharmakeuō, "administer drugs") – properly, drug-related sorcery, like the practice of magical-arts, etc.

Word Origin
from pharmakeuó (to administer drugs)

Definition
the use of medicine, drugs or spells

NASB Translation
sorceries (1), sorcery (2).

Here's some more to go with what Ahwatukee. φαρμακεία (pharmakeia) employment of drugs for any purpose; sorcery, magic, enchantment, Gal. 5:20

Which begs the question, does this include drugs used for medical reason? Does this go for medical use of marijuana? My PT person was telling me how her dad used it while he was going through medical treatment and how it helped with the pain and his appetite. My dad was hardcore against it's use for medical reasons, but now has changed his mind because of a friend that used it while on chemo and told him it was a great help.

.

Now they call it "fake news".

Look at the harm that it has caused since this came out.

Lies started by people over money, money over truth.

Fear over truth.

A lie that is still believed, and perpetuated by fear mongers.

I think that the phrase, "fear over truth", could describe the last pres campaign.

Taking the dollar off the gold standard was indeed a precursor. That was Nixon, another Republican.

Republicans take your money and give it to their wealthy friends.

Democrats take your money and give it to their lazy supporters.

Why would you want more of either?

(Wow did I just re-rail a thread? That's a first)

:)
Well, since you put it like that, the "wealthy friends" are usually the people that create the jobs...

I'll go with them.

GENESIS CH1V29:

Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.

'FOOD' as in, I consume it? hmm.
