More on the Saudi coalition which says it will also go after "ideologies"

Saudi bid to lead anti-terror campaign raises questions of intent

Quote from article....."Saudi Arabia’s attempt to form an umbrella coalition of Muslim nations to combat terrorism is reviving its decades-old failed aspirations to lead the Muslim world while also risking wider Sunni-Shiite sectarian strife, observers say.
Announcing the new 34-member coalition, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir said Tuesday that the alliance would take a “two-track” approach in battling terrorism: militarily and ideologically.Observers say the second track – the ideological fight at the pulpit – may be the tallest task. Some question whether Saudi Arabia can lead a wider ideological and tactical war against a form of extremism that its own policies have allowed to expand..........If the Saudis are going to try to make this coalition a Sunni force, an anti-Iran force, this will only cause more instability and violence in the region,” says Patrick Skinner, a former CIA case officer and director of projects at security firm Soufan Group. It is just not clear yet what their intentions are.” [end quote]

Seems to me their intention is to go after the Shiite countries, peoples, and ideologies and enforce their own Sunni ideologies. Both ideologies are based on false doctrine, and fighting extremists ideologies sounds good. But I believe this will only inflame and broaden the war in the middle east, Africa, Asia etc. and lead to a great division between Sunni and Shia peoples like a grand civil war.

It is like that which is shown in scripture, every mans hand shall be against his neighbor.

U.N. endorses peace plan for Syria in rare show of Unity.....

U.N. endorses Syria peace plan in rare show of unity among big powers | Reuters

Quote from article....""This council is sending a clear message to all concerned that the time is now to stop the killing in Syria and lay the groundwork for a government that the long-suffering people of that battered land can support," U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry told the 15-nation council after the vote." [end quote]

Do you think it was all the killing in Syria that made the Nations want a cease fire, or do you think it might have had something to do with all the refugees from Syria the Nations of the world do not want to deal with? I personally believe it was the latter, for selfish reasons the nations are now being united to take actions. Just a thought. :)

I think the refugee situation may have made a contribution, but I also think the chance of starting WW3 between Russia and NATO might just have swung it.

Military Analysts Underline Russian T-90 Tanks Major Role in Syrian Army's Victory in Khan Touman

Doesn't mention it is this article, but the Russian T-90 Tanks are equipped with Shtora anti-missle countermeasures making them nearly impervious to anti-tank missiles. Most anti-tank missiles require the operator to stay put and guide the missile to the target. Shtora detects being "painted" and returns fire within seconds. "Mustafa is dead".

Yeah, you have all the nations involved trying out their new war toys in Syria an surrounding areas. When they are not making war, they are practicing and playing war games around the globe.

> 2,000 besieged Syrian Islamist fighters to leave rebel held southern Damascus - Livemint

Also, the infamous Zahran Alloush, the Saudi leader of the salafist Islamic Front in Ghouta, was killed in an airstrike in southeast Damascus. This guy became famous when a picture appeared on the internet of him lecturing a group of jihadists with a Hello Kitty lunch pail, or something, on the table in front of him.

A US ally Saudi Arabia just executed like 47 persons, one being a prominent Shia cleric, which has got Iran all fired up. I saw where the people of Iran just torched the Saudi Embassy in Iran.

US warns Saudi Arabia's execution of prominent cleric risks inflaming sectarian tensions | World news | The Guardian
This could make a serious situation in the Middle East far worse. The Hypocrisy of our western nations does amaze me
though. They all suck up to Saudi Arabia because of oil yet their regime is worse than Assads.

The US sucks up to those who have power, oil, natural resources, and money even those countries who they can benefit from by selling weapons of war. It's all about power and money, not righteousness. The Saudi's kill, behead, mutilate, discriminate, and fornicate just as ISIS does, but the big difference is the Saudi's have lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Tit for tat, the Saudis buy lots of U.S. weapons which is another reason the U.S. will turn a blind eye to Saudi sponsored terrorism.

U.S. Arms Sales to Saudi Arabia - Saudi Military and U.S. Arms Sales to Saudi Arabia

As Saudi Arabia Executes Sheikh al-Nimr, Will U.S. Respond by Cutting $50 Billion in Weapons Sales? | Democracy Now!

Quote from articles......
The United States has long been Saudi Arabia’s leading arms supplier. From 1950 through 2006, Saudi Arabia bought or was granted from the United States weapons, military equipment and services worth $79.8 billion. Almost a fifth of all American arms sales during that period went to Saudi Arabia—or 19% of all U.S. arms sales during the period. The proportion underscores the importance of Saudi Arabia to the American defense industry.

Under the Obama administration, the United States has entered a record $50 billion in new arms sales agreements with the Saudis.

US used to do that with Iran before the Shah was overthrown... again as long as Saud plays nice with the US and has oil this will continue. For sure if Saud is ever overthrown somehow it will all stop just like it did in Iran
