My dad feels bad if he spends an unnecessary cent on himself, so instead of normal after shave which is 10 euro he uses some 1.50 euro alcohol stuff. I knew one man who used soap instead of shave cream.
I use soap as well, I tried all the fancy gillette gels, regular shaving cream etc. they are super expensive and come in small cans, i started using bar soap or even just a dab of shampoo...wiped it on the face and boom it works great if not better, after all you need just something to make the razor glide and not stick, plus I found when I use shampoo, it helps unclog the pores so I don't get "bumps" after shaving....screw you gillette with your $7-10 "gel" ripping people off, haven't bought a shaving cream can in probably 2-3 yrs as I don't see any benefit in them....compared to regular soap and water....

This poll should be done for married people, to see if it works the AXE effect.

Wow looks good!
The Brut effect!
Yea I really like the smell, on the internet some guys are obsessed with it that the reviews are just funny to read...."Non irritating and smells divine!"
some say they use the remainder of the dry stick as air freshener, while others say their arm pits "crave" the alcohol content of it?....whatever that means lol...

"I've been using Brut deodorant stick for many, many years and it's the only one I use. I always get positive comments like "you always smell good" and "what are you wearing?" I don't know if it's right for everyone but my underarms seem to crave the alcohol content in the stick...it's actually a plus for me and not a minus like some of the other comments I read. It's an oldie but goody."

Product reviews on the web are a good source for reliable information and weird comedy...

Soap is better if you know how to use it with a brush. It also has to be the right soap.

Shaving soap was a reality long before shaving cream came along. It's still cheaper too in addition to being nicer. A puck is anywhere from 5-30 dollars depending on what you buy and lasts anywhere from a month to a year (or longer).

That is the most hilarious slogan for a body spray : p A bit too deep for a scent, haha : p

I should start off by saying I do use body sprays, I enjoy wearing a scent that I like. And by that, I mean I do it for myself, I never buy or wear a body spray in the hopes that Ill attract a mate : p If I ever find a woman who wants to be with me, I honestly want her to like me for me, and not because I tried to be what it was she liked. You can make that into whatever you want, but its how I feel about life : p

But yeah, I like body scents, but like I pretty much hate every masculine scent ever : p They are all so....like... musky, bitter and gross smelling. Like, every scent that I try out that tries to buy into that masculine identity is always so over powering, and to me it always smells like seriously rotten fruit, or wet laundry that has been left out for a week and has become insanely moldy.

I generally like more flowery smells, they are more appealing to me, and make me feel better about the way I smell. Im using some Hawaiian Ginger junk right now, its not real over powering, just has a soft and somewhat sweet scent that I like using after I shower. I like it : p

I use shaving gel, its pretty cheap, I can find it for less than the cream. And I have sensitive skin, and I actually grow a full beard, so it comes in kinda heavy. And for me it has been for more gentle on my face than the cream. I get less irritation and razor burn on my face since using it.

My sons used Axe when they were in middle school. They used it after soccer practice, the cover up stench just made everything worse in my opinion. Thank goodness they are older and stooped using it. I prefer a nice cologne scent, nothing too strong.

Just for the record... I wasn't kidding about using perfume. I prefer it to cologne. Perfume smells more natural to me. Cologne to me smells like I'm trying to be an alpha male, which would be a wasted effort in my case..

I like Passion by Christian Dior, and White Diamonds by Elizabeth Taylor. And if I ever get married, I would gladly share some with the wifey..

To folks who wear Axe - I recognize the scent even when you are a few metres away and I will always avoid you.

Here are the stuff I wear, depending upon the occasion -
Business suit - "Attitude" by Emporio Armani eau de parfum (this just got over! :( )
Dinner event - "L'essence de Cerruti" by Nino Cerruti eau de parfum OR "Aqua" by CK eau de parfum
Outdoor casuals - "Boss bottled" by Hugo Boss eau de toilette
Gym - imitation deodarant called "Obama" which my friend got me from Thailand. :D

Usually I prefer woody or aqua bass notes.

I'll go along with that philosophy!

Unless he's like, in the Australian mafia or something.
