You didn't read my message I said "because of the professional relationship"! She was a P.A. at my Doctor's office. If we went out on a date she would have lost her license! The AMA has strict rules on that! Secondly it took a year before I knew her well enough to want to ask. To answer your other answer. I made several attempts to unmake her my P.A. and to wait the 6 months before I ask her. (That's the AMA rules!) but they failed! So I did try something. Also that's why I went on the dating sites in the first place!

Furthermore I believe there still are some true Christians in this world. Ones who take their relationship with God seriously!

Correct me if I'm wrong ladies, but from what I've heard from women (and men!) women might not be as interested in online relationships? It is very hard for me to get involved with someone online, and I haven't even felt an interest in romance with someone online! From what I've heard from friends they've have similar feelings. For me, I think it is the lurking fear that they might not be who they say. Even when I know and trust someone, I still hesitate to really open up about myself online because...who knows?

That's just what I've seen and experienced, anyway :)
Very wise of you, especially on chat sites like this one. If you start talking to a guy on a chat site, MAKE HIM SKYPE to make sure he is not a woman and is who he presents himself to be. I told you about my experience with a guy I was talking to on another site. Once he got on skype, his true motive for talking to me became apparent.

I grew up on a farm. Does that help any? LOL!

That was part of the problem with Christian Mingle. One, they were looking for something specific, or two, I lived too far away from them. I live in the upper northern prairie. I have to drive 3 hours to get to a city that has more than 200,000 population.

It is the problem of people in general if you think about it. We all have things we like or desire in another. The question is where are you willing say 'ok they don't have to be ______."

I mean for me there are only 2 definites. Christian and like kids. I am a single father with 3 kids and an associate pastor with the desire to have my own church one day. Can't really take someone against those two.

Other than that though, I have things I like but I have to ask whether they matter. Physically I prefer extremely short (like 5'2 or less) and thin (not athletic, just thin). For personality I like bookworms and geeks. But is that really important? I can find women who are taller or athletic, even overweight attractive. I can get along with loud type A's or shy introverts and have a good time. As the proverb says, Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

We can't be upset if people are picky, but also should look closely to see if we are too picky.

Just my 2 cents

Most of the serious replies I got were from tall large women. No offense but I'm now 5'4" 150 lbs. When I was younger I always was the type to eat anything I want and not gain a pound. I contracted Type 1 diabetes when I was 46. I dropped from 160 to 120 before I got to see an Endocrinologist and he got it under control. I slowly gain the weight back and with the pump I was able to gain the last 10 lbs to 150. Since I'm on a low fat low carb diet it will be very hard to gain anymore. So I don't think we would be a good fit for a woman like that!

Hey, there are many single men and women on this site, having problems to find a partner on paid dating sites.

I do not think it would be such a harm to make one section for dating, on this server. If there can be "natural health", "news" and others, why not this one?

If it will be kept strictly only in that section, no problem for me.

I will be blunt, I am sick of hearing people say this is not a dating site on here. Like what, are they scared of two people meeting each other?
Also, my good friends 38 year old daughter met a very nice Christian man last year on Christian mingle and they are getting married this summer.
Some people here have health or confidence issues or other emotional stuff going on and they are self talking themselves into scenarios that need not exist.
Last, so many people, shock of shocks - even Christians, are not always honest about their intentions. To many people that say they are not interested or never getting married again are not really being entirely truthful.
A lot of hurt and lonely people here, and so it does not seem I am singling out this site, all over the place too.
I am not excluding myself, so no thinks I am being overly critical. I have been there also.
Actually the point of the statement is that this site is not intended to be a hook up site. Not one person has spoken against the idea of people meeting here by chance. People don't want this to turn into a site where people come specifically to meet people to date. So it's entirely valid. People want to keep this site as a place for fellowship, not a place where every thread is 'male seeking female'.
Not to mention i have witnessed, on more than one occasion, mods telling users this is not a dating site. In fact that was the first time i heard it. Hard to argue with that logic.

I know all that.
My point was that some people jump on it like they are the law enforcement of the site. Just chill out.
At least wait until something needs legitimate attention. I think most consenting adult Christians are mature enough to respect the rules.

Hearing "this is not a dating site" all the time can be somewhat oppressive and negative. And I sometimes wonder what the motivation is with some that constantly write this.

We have the law, but the law condemns us.

Love is a wonderful thing. Christians of all people should be encouraging communion.

I forgot to mention, when I looked up dating apps in the Google play store, the Christian Chat app was included in the search return.

I think all that proves is that google is not infallible, contrary to popular opinion. At least they got that wrong rather than getting something actually important wrong.
