One more cartoon quote:
"Son, I'm going to give you some advice that won't make much sense now, but when you grow up and get married it will save you a lot of grief. When you get married your wife will periodically go to a place called a hair salon. When she comes back she will look EXACTLY THE SAME to you. Only she and other women will even be able to tell any difference. But you must never let on that you can't see a difference. Always compliment her on how her hair looks when she comes back from a hair salon."
This is funny...

My oldest daughter rarely ever wears any type of make-up. Every now and then she will put on some light eyeliner and mascara. She skypes with her long-distance boyfriend everyday. On those rare occasions when she has on make-up, he always tells her how beautiful she looks, but he never realizes that it's because she's wearing make-up. He can't tell WHAT makes her look so beautiful on those days, but he can definitely tell a difference, and he likes it. She finds this hilarious. She responds with "thanks, I am wearing a bit of make-up today" and he is always shocked. Ha!

This happens to them repeatedly.

I am really enjoying the answers here and hope people will keep posting and replying.

I'm actually planning on turning this into a bit of a series... I have at least two more thread ideas for makeup/beautification in the future, depending on how much time I have.

Just thought I'd give the poor guys on the forum a warning in advance. ;) (Fellas, thanks for being such good sports!!) :)

Before i came to Jesus image was all i was.... Everything was about what i looked like, To watch a video like the one posted would of definetly made me pore concious however silly that sounds.. (i havent watched the video by the way)

A few years back i would of wanted to know what guys thought about it because i would of wanted to better my image therefore makin me more desirable to them... Thats who i was.

Now it hurts my heart.... What any man thinks about image or any woman for that matter is completely of no relevance to me what so ever.. I dont even ask the question anymore "Does this look ok"

If God intends for us to marry it is only gonna be with one person so why do we really need to be desirable to the multitude and truly if the Lord does have a spouse for us then its our heart they will see nothing else. Bless you all xxxx

Ugh, I hate that kind of comercials

I still can't eat candy/ drink soda without getting zits :( but somehow I have a feeling that all those magic lotions, potions and goo would just make it work .... so .... I'll stick with soap and water.

Now I almost want to start staring at the people I pass just to see if I can see their pores :p

That would be an awkward meme...stare at someone random and say "hey can I check your pores?" that is memeable lol

It's the unibrow isn't it....he needs a wax or trim between the eyes....
That he does, but I think the nausea is being caused by how the frame shifts positions as it zooms in on his eye, creating a disagreeable sense of instability and motion. >~>

Skin is definitely one of the main features men notice in a woman, although usually not on a totally concious level like but it's just a natural factor in how attractive you find someone. Smooth, clear skin is a good sign of overall health, which is attractive. So eat healthy and be healthy (exercise, etc.) and you won't need to spend thousands on treatments! :)

Eeeww this woman has such big pores!

Yeah I hear men say it all the time. It's the biggest dealbreaker there is. Yeah she's lovely, sweet, good looking, Christ like, but those pores.... yuck!
