Kim, just read your sig. I love M.C. Escher. My fave is drawing hands
Ok... back on topic. For the 1st year, my treadmill was a waste of money cuz no one used it. Now I'm getting my money's worth lol
The good thing about something like a piece of exercise equipment is that the longer you keep it, the bigger the chance you'll actually get your money's worth out of it if you figure CPW (cost per workout vs. cost per wear for fashion.) What can I say, I'm pretty good at these self-justifications!
For instance, if you use it 300 times over the next 5 years, you've worked your cost down to $1 per workout, and you can't beat that, seeing as even a guest pass at the gym seems to be at least $10 a pop.
Of course, if you only use it 10 times a year (not that I would be guilty of that
), it might take a few decades...
If nothing else, you can always use it as a good clothes hanger.
(Side note to MMDan--my brother had a Bowflex as well... complete with all the upgrades, beeps, and whistles, and used it regularly. Due to some major miscommunications... my parents sold it while he was out on missions trips for a few years... and to this day it's something we don't mention because my brother was not happy!)
P.S. Melita... Your post is going to inspire an entirely new thread. Keep a lookout!
