Kudos to Sonflower Hii ! Great stories just ate pizza so I'm skimming dead bird stories , oh and always ask your neighbours to fed your pet if you're gonna be away I fed my cat two meals at once yeah... You get me. mind you asking neighbours to fed your pets is
the done thing.

We loved our Tommy cat and he was ginger he was was the ' potplant cat' always use to burry himself in the potplant even with flowers?? He'd get cosy.

Then there was our cat that collected sausages from the neighbours at one stage or was that somebody else's cat? I forget it was funny

???

Every cat I've ever had only ate when hungry. I could leave a whole bag of cat food out, but my cat never ate more at a time than needed.

I hear some cats eat more though, and get fat. Mostly when they are indoors all day and have nothing to do.

I've always felt like cats are mostly like to kill us in our sleep. This just confirms it for me...
Cat's are very smart, they wouldn't just kill you, they'd eat you too.

One of my favorite pet memories involved my pet dog Penny, which we had for most of the 80's and 90's. She would always follow me around and lay down beside me no matter where I was - whether I was on a chair, the couch, or just sitting in the middle of the floor. One day my mother told me to sit at the top of the stairs and see what Penny would do, and when Penny saw me, she walked up the stairs and immediately laid down beside me, and that is when my mother took this picture (sometime in the early 1980's). A dog is a boy's best friend indeed!

Speaking of cats and eating, a friend of mine... actually some of you know him, Kirk in chat... once had a siamese cat. This was back in the days of the old apostolicchat. One day he suddenly said, "Yay, my cat is now self-feeding!" It seems he put the cat's food bowl on the floor below the kitchen table, and put the bag of cat food on the table above the bowl. One day he forgot to feed the cat, so the cat chewed a hole in the bottom corner of the bag. Then he jumped on the table and slapped the bag to make food fall into his bowl.

Okay so my dad grew up with dogs. So of course he really likes dogs. My mom not so much. She'll tolerate them for our sake but doesn't necessarily enjoy them herself.

One time we were visiting my grandpa, my mom's dad. And being that he lived 5 hrs away sometimes we would take our dog along. I think this was one of the first times we took Max, our German shepherd with us. Anyways just as my mom doesn't really like dogs neither did her family. Especially big ones lol. During this visit my cousin, Nathan, came over and he was so scared of Max that we had to hold him like 20 feet away so he would get out of the car. Anyhow, Max was an outside dog so he stayed outside and my family was fine since they were inside. So there are all the cousins. In the kids room as we would call it. Watching a movie. Sitting on the floor. And all of a sudden Nathan who is not small jumps onto the bed. Everyone in there is like Nathan what are you doing? And then there you see Max just lying there like he belongs there. That was hilarious.

Eventually he he became like the family dog. And made all my family dog people. There are tons more stories too. We left him with my grandpa when my grandma passed away. He died like two years later. But we'll never forget him.

This picture is the best. If there were a competition for cutest picture in this thread (which there isn't) this one would be completely winning right now.

If I let my dog feed itself, she'd eat until she exploded. Lola, the mini dachshund, has a slight food obsession.

My Oma had a cat and she was moving to a place that did not allow cats so she gave her to her friend and apparently the cats started swinging on the curtains and ripping up the furniture and about a week after they got the cat my Oma got a call from them saying "This cat is possessed!!!! Take it back!"

I remember my piglet pet that I had when I was a kid. He just became a pet because he was disabled. His clumsy mother accidentally trampled on him and my mother thought he won't survive so I adopted the poor piglet and bottle fed him and surprisingsly he survived and looked happy even if he was dragging his feet when he walked . I remember the times when I feed him, He looks so adorable like a baby. But we needed to leave him behind because we moved to the city.
