JesusLives: You may be thinking of "gyros" perhaps? They are pronounced kinda-sorta like euros.

Roh_Chris: "We eat breakfast like a prince, lunch like a king and dinner like a pauper."
That's the way to do it. What you eat for breakfast sets the metabolism for the whole day, believe it or not. And at night you don't need a big meal so close to bedtime.
Despite doctors and scientists telling us for DECADES now that breakfast is the most important meal, most people here eat a very light breakfast (or none at all) a middling lunch and a feast for supper. No wonder so many people are overweight. All that food, then we go to bed and it all gets stored instead of burned off.
Thank you my spell checker (tourist) was not available at the spelling of euro's (gyros) at the time of spelling so being the get it done person that I am I went for the sound's like charades version of the word...knowing I would be forgiven and possibly laughed at which is o.k. by me I prefer to go for the chuckles....makes life more fun and interesting.... Blond Style....gotta love it....

With how this morning is going, that's very possible.

Just cookies and snickers? How do you do it?

I can never have two light meals. It is only one and that is usually dinner.

Seriously????

I'm afraid of asking what's for lunch... :p

Lunch was rice, fried Elephant Foot Yam and masala water (called rassam). I sometimes take lunch from home so it's minimal. :D

This sounds pretty good and the Blond is in for trying new things to me anyway probably a normal regular dinner for you.

You must. If you can handle spice, you will love Indian food. :)

It is important to have a healthy breakfast. Which is why it is called "breakfast". I know a few friends who have been skipping breakfast in order to lose weight. They don't realise that skipping breakfast will only increase their weight.

A glass of fresh juice in the morning is good for your health! I drink a glass of either orange or apple juice. :D

I have had many breakfasts of Snickers and Milky Way bars. I would skip lunch and then at night eat my Hot Pockets or other frozen things that could be microwaved. Since becoming engaged I am now eating more balanced and healthier meals three times a day. It is part of my re-education process of taking care of myself. My nicotine intake has been drastically reduced too. My best guess is that I am going to be drinking decaf one day as well. I drink water too but only as little as I can get away with.

I hope you folks will forgive me for dropping in unannounced. :)
This post showed up on my account page as a latest post and caught my eye.
My first ex cooked okay, but nothing fancy or extravagant. She left and a couple of years later I got custody of my two daughters. The were 11 and 12 years old. I wanted to do my best for them and also didn't have money to eat out all the time, so I started cooking. It is actually pretty easy. Until you get a little more experienced, just follow the recipe. That isn't hard to do.

If you're on the pc you have access to thousands and thousands of them. I used to try to change them up and that will ruin any good dinner if you don't know what ingredient and how much to change.
When I was married we would always alternate going to her parents and mine for holiday dinners. I told the girls that we weren't doing that anymore. For one thing, I didn't want to be at her parents house when she was there, and I wanted to start my own tradition; give the girls something their mom didn't. They could invite anyone they wanted, and we always had 4 or 5 over for thanksgiving and Christmas dinner.

Now doing a complete thanksgiving dinner is a little daunting, but it isn't hard. Just busy. Not only that, when you do cook something your self-esteem perks right up. Just remember - follow the recipe!;)
